“Much of the teaching given is new in form, and another is in fact. But there is something that arises clearly, and that is that the old rules to which the disciples were subjected over the centuries are valid, but susceptible to new and often different interpretations. . The training that will take place in the next new era will be in accordance with the most advanced development of the time. Century after century evolutionary progress presents a constant maturity and continuous development of the human mind, on which the Master can work. Consequently, the norms of discipleship are increasingly high. This in itself requires a new approach, a broader presentation of the truth and a greater freedom of action of the disciple. The time element is also different. In the past, the Master made a suggestion to the disciple, or pointed out a point on which to reflect and meditate, or suggested the need for some n change in the habit of thinking. Then the disciple retired - sometimes for years or a lifetime - he thought and reflected, trying to change his attitude without feeling pressured. Today, in this time of greatest speed, when the demand for help from humanity is so manifest, the explanation is replaced by the insinuation, and the disc is entrusted I put information that was previously kept in reserve. The disciple is considered to have reached a stage of development in which he can make his own decisions and move forward more quickly if he decides.
