All artistic creation represents the ability of man to connect with his spirituality . That is why Art Therapy can be seen as a window to our spirit.

Art is everything that man creates to express himself.

Through it, he demonstrates his thoughts, emotions, ideas, moods and even his vision of reality.

We connect spiritually through art, it is the result of a trip inside us and intuition plays a vital role. In order to develop ourselves within art, we use prior knowledge and acquired techniques, thus trying to capture what happens inside us outside.

Can Art Therapy cure us?

It seems that if! There are several artistic therapies that, through different techniques, achieve varied approaches.

According to the American Association of Art Therapy, Art Therapy is a mental health profession, which uses the creative process of “making art” to improve the physical, mental and emotional well-being of people of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic expression, helps to solve conflicts and problems, develops interpersonal skills, to manage behavior, reduce stress, strengthen self-esteem, improve shyness and achieve knowledge of some same.

ART THERAPY

Within the art therapies, is Art Therapy . Psychotherapy has found in Art Therapy, a way to treat different fears, traumas and psychological disorders . Art is then the therapeutic route used as a form of communication, helping the individual to express feelings and facilitating reflection .

Different techniques are used in the sessions, depending on the needs. The artistic creation is the reflection of the internal world, in this way, it is not necessary to have previous artistic knowledge, since the important thing is the symbolic and not the aesthetic . This search for inner knowledge can be reflected in drawings, paintings, collage, images, sculptures, etc.

Apart from these therapeutic purposes, Art Therapy is a technique of self-knowledge, emotional expression and personal development. Therefore, we may not suffer from any psychological disorder, and have the need to explore within ourselves through art.

THEATROTHERAPY

This therapy is very complete, it can be used in a pedagogical, therapeutic or artistic way.

Through this tool we can achieve: develop social capacities, become aware of our feelings, gain confidence in ourselves, control anxiety, express ourselves through the body, etc.

Through it we work our fears, blockages, shame and everything that does not allow us to express freely.

MUSIC THERAPY

Music therapy consists of listening or playing music, it depends on the needs of the patient. Through it you can promote self-esteem, self-awareness and communication skills .

In general, the voice or instruments are used to provoke the interaction and response of the participants. A relaxed and safe environment is created that encourages learning and emotional liberation.

With it we help each other when we have emotional difficulties or when we have physical limitations. Older people can regain their self-esteem, while in children it can be used to improve communication.

Some of the techniques used are: singing, playing instruments, rhythm-based activities, improvisations, composing songs and listening.

The goal of dance therapy is to psychophysically unite the body with the soul and the spirit . Through this therapy people release their tensions, learn to know each other and release their emotions.

It has 3 pillars that relate to each other, they are: imitation, improvisation and creation.
