Serenity and inner peace are not achieved without effort. Just as we need proper exercise habits to achieve healthy and aesthetic bodies, we need good mental habits to achieve peaceful minds . I want to share with you a series of habits so that you practice daily and can achieve your inner peace .

We all want serenity, that state of elusive calm that seems to belong only to Tibetan monks and yoga instructors .

People with serenity are better equipped to enjoy life.

Their small problems remain small and do not magnify in major catastrophes. When real crises arise, they react with a constant and clear thought .

Daily Habits to Achieve Your Inner Peace

I want to share with you some daily habits so that you can reach your goal towards serenity, make your inner peace, apply them from now on! I assure you that your life will begin to change.

Give thanks continuously

When the alarm sounds, even before you get out of bed, close your eyes and think about the ways you have been a blessed person.

Consider the most basic gifts you have, those that the Universe and the Creator have given you: a job, good relationships, your home, your clothes, your health.

Then, continue to give thanks throughout the day. If someone lets you pass in your lane when you drive, please. When your paycheck is deposited into your account, thank you . When your child returns home safely from school, say thank you .

Start by recognizing everything good that happens to you.

As soon as your mind wanders in the wrong direction, come back again and bring it to its course.

Do you know when you're mentally deviating? You get irritated by minor things, you think it is your job to correct other people's misbehavior, you become obsessed with past misunderstandings, past failures.

These are all symptoms that your mind is on the path of wrong thinking and that your inner peace is dulling. Buy it with a car that has changed to a high traffic lane, our minds can also change to the wrong lane. As soon as that happens, stop doing what you are doing and check urgently!

Stay away from people who are not acting properly. Then, do whatever helps you recover your mind.

For me, it is very important to read something spiritual . For others, it can be listening to inspiring music or talking with a good friend.

It is also good that you remain alone, without music or noise, that your conscience and your mind speak to you, that you really feel inner peace . By reorienting your mind, you can return more easily to clear thinking.

Accept yourself

Practicing acceptance does not mean that you let yourself be treated badly by others, it means that you accept others as they are.

If someone is a manipulator, that is it, you will have to decide whether or not you want to spend time with him, but accept that you cannot change it.

Similarly, practicing acceptance does not mean that you do not try to improve your life. For example, you may not like your current job or your home. The first thing you will have to do is accept your current situation, then, do your best at work and make your home as beautiful as possible, you know you can do it!

Be kind to others

There is no scenario in which being unpleasant with others benefits you, so be careful how you operate, how you act.

The ugly and bad words you say and do to other people can affect them, and you, those actions will poison you, will not let you achieve your inner peace .

If you are not happy, look carefully at your behavior. If you throw bad comments or take advantage of people, I assure you that you will be miserable.

Now, and not only is being kind to people, be kind and gentle with animals, nature, with Creation. The Great Gandhi had already said "the greatness and moral progress of a nation can be measured by the way it treats its animals", how do you treat animals?

I assure you that if you are a kind being, that helps others, that you try to be better every day but without going over others, your inner peace will come, your life will change and the Universe and the Creator will reward you .

Be very careful with what you drink

Some things we drink can affect our mind. Coffee, tea and some sodas have caffeine.

Caffeine affects each person differently. Evaluate how it affects you. If it makes you nervous or irritable, please reduce your consumption or eliminate it completely.

Alcohol also affects people differently. If drinking wine, beer or liquor makes you feel anxious, depressed or violent, I invite you to limit your consumption, or failing that, eliminate alcohol from your life completely.

Now, I'm not telling you that you can't drink them, I want you to realize how you drink them, and even drugs affect your body.

Surely you will not reach your inner peace amid violent, anxious, rude actions with others and abusive.

Being happy is more important than your status, more important than what others say about you, more important than your glass of wine every night .

I invite you to get enough rest

Our minds cannot think clearly if they are not rested. Young children need large amounts of sleep to be happy.

Adults are not different. While we do not throw ourselves on the floor and shout if we have not taken a nap, we function badly if we do not sleep .

Child from 0 to 3 months should rest from 14 to 17 hours, what scientists do not advise is that they sleep more than 18 hours.

There is a large amount of violent, meaningless garbage, which is considered vanguardista, creativa or cine .

If you want to have a relaxed mind full of inner peace, spend your time observing and reading things that have a positive message or that educate.

Avoid spending your free time that is so valuable, filling your mind with trash, just because it is popular or trendy.

Maintain a tidy and clean home

There is nothing more disgusting, harmful and unhappy than entering a house or a disorganized or dirty place, when I do it I get sick, it is scary!

Look, there is only one reason why spas don't have dirty towels on the floors, and on shelves covered with goodies, basically because nobody can relax in a place that is messy and dirty

A messy house or room is a sign of a messy and unstable mind, it has no control or goals to accomplish.

I invite you to make your home an orderly, clean and beautiful place.

If you do so, you will breathe clean air, the oxygen will reach the parts of your body that require it, and your inner peace will be born gradually.

Use part of your time to be silent without noise

The television has nothing wrong, the bad thing is that it is on all the time.

But why do people turn on the TV or music so they are not watching or listening?

It is really easy to answer this question. People tend to turn on the television or radio to avoid feeling uncomfortable, to avoid encountering their self, to avoid being questioned by themselves.

We may feel uncomfortable with our families or feel uncomfortable with ourselves. So we get distracted from that discomfort with noise.

I don't want to say you can't listen to music or watch TV, I'm saying don't use them to hide.

The fundamental problem is that noise prevents you from relaxing as it should be, prevents your inner peace from entering you.

The invitation is for you to make the decision to give your ears and your mind a rest, and enjoy the silence, it is the best thing you can do to relax and find happiness and serenity!

Spend your time with the right kind of people

This habit is important, what kind of people do you spend your time with?

There are definitely people who can't help being a problem. Wherever they go, they create drama, difficulties, war and resentment.

Someone has always made them feel bad, or they are continually upset about something, or they just can't say anything nice.

If you have such people in your life experience, the invitation is for you to give these people ample space.

You cannot necessarily eliminate those people from your life, but you can limit your contact with them.

This is a matter of self-preservation, because when you allow people to bring chaos into your life, it is very difficult to maintain your serenity and inner peace .

Remember that it is not your job to improve their lives, if you make them an invitation to be better and they accept you, try to help! Otherwise, your only job is not to allow what these people generate into you, less transmit it to others.
