Our Name Is The First Contract With Which We Charge By Alejandro Jodorowsky

When we baptize a child we must know that along with the name we pass an identity. Let us therefore avoid the names of ancestors, of old boyfriends or girlfriends, of historical or novelesque characters. The names we receive are like unconscious contracts that limit our freedom and condition our life. A repeated name is like a contract to which we make a photocopy, when in the family tree there are many photocopies the name loses strength and is devalued. According to Alejandro Jodorowsky, the name has a very powerful impact on the mind. It can be a strong symbolic identifier of personality, a talisman or a prison that prevents us from being and growing.

We have already commented in another article that in the narcissistic trees each generation repeats the same names of their ancestors and with it the destinations are repeated. Do certain neighborhoods attract people whose emotional state corresponds to the hidden meaning of those names? Alejandro Jodorowsky says that in Santiago de Chile he lived in Diego de Almagro Square, a place he felt as dark and sad. It is possible to think that this place was the reflection of his interior at that moment of his life. Diego de Almagro was a frustrated conqueror. By deceptive advice from his accomplice Pizarro, he left Cuzco for the unexplored lands of the South believing to find temples with fabulous treasures. After many calamities he returned as a soul in pain to Cuzco, where his traitor partner, not wanting to share the stolen riches to the Incas, made him execute.

We could spend a few minutes observing the place where we live: in the street of a poet, of a holy benefactor, of a discoverer or perhaps in that of a murderous general. Nothing is accidental, the world is like a mirror that reflects us, every time we make an inner mutation also changes our exterior, they are signs of the Universe at times. Could we say that the names have a kind of frequency that tunes with certain receivers? What kind of receivers? Unconsciously we are attracted to hundreds of names that reflect who we are (sometimes they are exact and sometimes they are hidden behind masks, there are only lexical or phonetic similarities): Our healthy and positive part is a receiver that tunes in with certain names, because we They make us enjoy and feel safe.

Our sick and negative part is another receiver that tunes certain names, because there is a supra-conscious intention to resolve the conflict. Let us reflect again on the names of what we have attracted to our world: -The name of our company, workplace, school ... -The name of our partner, friends, bosses, teachers ... -People who cross our path through "Accident" and they are called exactly like our father (or mother, brother ...) Is there a schedule inscribed in our name and surname? As Alejandro Jodorowsky tells us, both the name and surnames contain mental programs that are like seeds, from them fruit trees or poisonous plants can arise. In the family tree the repeated names are vehicles of dramas.

It is dangerous to be born after a dead brother and receive the name of the disappeared. That condemns us to be the other, never ourselves. When a daughter is named after an old girlfriend of her father, she is condemned to be "dad's girlfriend" throughout her life. An uncle or an aunt who committed suicide turns his name, for several generations, into a vehicle of depression. Sometimes it is necessary, to stop those repetitions that create adverse destinations, change the name.

The new name can offer us a new life. Intuitively, this was understood by most Chilean poets, all of whom came to fame with pseudonyms. Are there examples that allow us to understand the importance of the name? Our name has us trapped, there is our "individuality" -Barrick Gold (gold in English is gold) became the largest gold producer in the world. -Brontis "voice of thunder" is dedicated to the world of theater with a powerful voice ... -Maria, Immaculate, Consuelo are associated with purity, virginity, names that demand absolute perfection, which limit us -Miguel Angel, Rafael, Gabriel, The names of angels give problems with the incarnation - Caesar, powerful and associated with ambition. How do I know if the name I received hurts me? Studying the names of the family tree is the same as accessing the unconscious.

In the names we find secrets. It is important to see how the name they gave us works. Some questions: -The first thing is to know the person who appointed us. Dad? Mom? Grandpa? Sister? The godfather? ... The one who names takes power over the named and it is not the same to call me Michele for my paternal grandmother, if the name occurred to my father to repeat the incestuous knot, or by my mother, to be accepted into my father's family, giving him a daughter-clone of his mother-in-law.

- As a child I liked my name or would I have liked to call myself another way? Children have a special intuition and a fresh disinhibition that allow them to completely reject what contaminates them. -Research where our name comes from: * If it is from a family member, it is good to analyze your destiny and the paths you have traveled in your life, because we probably come to repeat them. To be called Ren after a dead brother, is to carry with him all his life.

* If it belongs to someone significant for whom he named us, we will have the burden of giving him what the other did not give him.

* If it is of some historical, fictional character, ace of soccer or princess of Manco, we will live frustrated and failed if we do not follow the script.

* If it is for something material, we will acquire the properties of that element. For example, if I call myself by my sister's doll, I will become her doll, she will play with me, dominate me.

* If I call myself for something immaterial, I will tend to abstract purposes devised by our parents, disregarding the real and even, as opposed to them, will come to materialize the opposite of what I have written in the name. To be called Freedom, Peace, Light, is not always synonymous of being free, living in peace and having things clear.

-The diminutives: My name is Manuel as my grandfather, but they tell me Manolito, they have projected on you the figure of your grandfather, but you are forbidden to grow and overcome it.

-The compound names: My name is Jos Lu s, for my father and my grandfather . Poor you if the relationship between them was cumbersome.

My name is Mar a Jos, as Jodorowsky says, Cat strofe sexual! .

-The feminized or masculinized names: Mario, Josefa, Carmelo, Paula, correspond to frustrated wishes that we were born of the opposite sex.

Why not change our name when it is loaded with a ballast that immobilizes us? We are terrified to change our name as we fear we will stop being recognized by our clan. We fear not being recognized or identified, not being loved is the greatest fear we have. We are gregarious beings and we think we can die if our clan leaves us, which is an inheritance of our archaic brain.

Metaphorically, the name given to us by parents is like a GPS file that shows us digitized paths stored in family memory. At birth, the file is installed and we are wandering the world on more or less stony and steep routes, but we feel at home, because they were already traced by the tree's operating system. To change our name is to throw the GPS through the car window and start seeing and traveling new roads, conquering territories that had not been filed by our tree.

It is taking care of our own destiny. How then to call our children when they are born? Alejandro Jodorowsky states that we each have a name (we can make our inner guide appear and ask for our name in a meditation or visualization exercise) that comes with us even before being conceived. It is possible that during pregnancy, this name reaches both parents at the same time telepathically, if they have sufficient capacity for perception. If not, it is the child who should be named later. In the case of having to decide how to call the baby, the name must not have existed in the history of his family tree, nor must have belonged to people or ideals of those who name him.

What will we do with our name? if we find that our name fits with some points of what is described here, we can make them call us by the middle name, for example Dolores Carolina, if they call you Dolores and already Dolores brings a load, we can do That they begin to call you Carolina or the middle name, or for example Carlos Antonio where Carlos is repeated in generations with ancestors of tragic destiny, starting to call us Antonio, is not easy but in a way we begin to retrograde.
