Gingivitis is a buccal condition, caused by plaque, a sticky component, made up of food debris that accumulates between teeth, bacteria and mucus. This disease causes bleeding and inflammation of the gums . If it is not treated in time, it can destroy periodontal ligaments, gums and even alveolar bone . The plaque, in the long term, becomes tartar and it adheres to the surface of the teeth, producing toxins and bacteria that cause the gums to become infected, inflamed, bled and become extremely sensitive . Symptoms:

  • Red and inflamed gums.
  • Bad breath.
  • Bleeding gums
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Extreme sensitivity to cold or heat in gums.

Causes:

  • Hormonal changes.
  • Poor oral hygiene.
  • Infections or general diseases.
  • Diabetes.
  • Contaminated or misplaced oral artifacts.
  • Uneven teeth.

Home remedies:

  • Rinse the mouth with the mixture of a glass of water and a teaspoon of fine salt .
  • In a glass with warm water, add the juice of half a lemon and a teaspoon of fine salt . Gargle and rinse.
  • Make a paste with baking powder and water, use this mixture to brush your teeth and gums.
  • Make mouthwashes, with the combination of half a glass of warm water and a cap of hydrogen peroxide of 10 volumes.
  • Eat raw apple and strawberries .
  • Place on the fingertips, aloe vera gel, gently rub the gums.
  • Use as a mouthwash, half a cup of warm water, with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar .
  • In a glass of water, add two tablespoons of baking soda and two caps of 10-volume hydrogen peroxide . Make swish.
  • Prepare in one cup, an infusion with two tablespoons of dry mallow, cover, let cool and swish.
  • Gargle with cold green tea .
  • In half a glass of water, add half a teaspoon of bee propolis . Make rinses.
  • Use cold chamomile tea as a mouthwash.
  • Massage the gums with sesame or coconut oil.

Halitosis is a symptom characterized by bad breath or smell in the mouth . It is very common in the general population . It is considered that more than 50% of people suffer from it at some time in their life. It is very frequent to present bad breath when waking up in the morning, after several hours of sleep, when the mouth has been at rest and the production of saliva has been very scarce. Halitosis is more common in people over 50 years of age. The causes of halitosis can be multiple, from insufficient oral hygiene, to serious diseases. The bad smell of the mouth is caused by bacterial breakdown of food debris between the teeth, saliva, oral mucosa cells or blood, which produce volatile substances such as acids and sulfur components. Due to this production of substances, more than 85% of halitosis comes from the mouth.

Home remedies for alitosis or bad breath:
  • Dissolve a spoonful of baking soda in a glass of water, rinse your mouth with this solution after brushing your teeth and tongue.
  • Eat a fasting yellow meat peach .
  • Chew a clove, anise or cinnamon stick after each meal.
  • Boil several parsley sprigs in water with three whole cloves . After it cools, filter the infusion and use it as a mouthwash.
  • Make a mouthwash consisting of two tablespoons of red sage in half a liter of water. Boil this preparation and let it stand for 20 minutes.
  • Prepare a solution with mint leaves and water, let it sit for a few minutes and use it after brushing your teeth. The mint has disinfectant properties, in addition to that it leaves you with a fresh and pleasant aroma in the mouth.
  • Make a juice with a peach, half a grapefruit, a quarter of a mango, two branches of peppermint and half a cup of water. Drink it on an empty stomach.
  • Use a 10-volume hydrogen peroxide cap as a mouthwash every morning. In addition to eliminating bacteria, hydrogen peroxide prevents the appearance of tartar and prevents gum problems.
  • Make a tea with a spoonful of peppermint in a cup of water. Let it boil for 10 minutes and take it after each meal.
