In these days before Christmas we get so complicated because we would like to have a very high budget to buy all the gifts we have in mind. Although it sounds trite: Giving is not the meaning of Christmas ... We celebrate the joy of the birth of the Great Master Jesus who came to share and give himself completely. That is why, in his memory, we give away ... but we don't necessarily fear that we give away material things. There are very valuable things that are not bought with money. I list some of you:
* Listen ... Listening is not just being silent while someone else is talking, listening is putting all your senses in what another person is saying and that is something very difficult to find ... Listen ... Just listen to others and you will give them an insurmountable gift .
* Visit ... There are many people who have no one in the world and would value someone's company very much even if only for a while. And there are others who suffer the worst of loneliness that is to be surrounded by people but not feel affinity with any ... Visit them ... Give your company, but do it from the heart.
* Help ... There are people who have many chores and their limited time and these days of excessive activity get too complicated. Help them by leaving their children to school, or shopping, or making their Christmas cards ... Anyway ... There are so many ways to help that I leave that to your creativity ...
* Write ... Give yourself the time to write cards with a love message to your loved ones. It will not take you more than 2 minutes for each one and you can talk to them with your heart, from your soul to express the affection you feel for them.
* Be your . There is no better gift for oneself and others than to show ourselves as we are. We are always so protected for fear of being hurt that letting ourselves be seen is a vote of confidence for others and a truly appreciated gift.
* Rise ... Steep over your incomplete humanity to be able to look from consciousness ... From higher levels there are no more attachments, anger, envy, depressions or jealousy and everything looks very different. So dare to rise above human passions and that will not only be a gift for those who live with you but for you
* Enjoy Living with delight is so rare. And to enjoy life, we need only be alive and grateful for the world that shelters us, for the beings that love us, for health, for nature, for the simple fact of being alive Enjoy every moment and with each person that that is a gift.
Sometimes it is more convenient to go to the store to buy something for people who dedicate a time of tenderness, listening and compassion.
Committing ourselves to others is what it costs us so that I invite you this Christmas to give away from and for the soul. Perhaps this is the way to truly begin to heal our soul.
