The healing power of crying. Tears as healing balm.

  • 2017
We all need to cry sometime. Do not deny yourself this valuable right.

During the last century and before, there was a widespread belief that crying showed vulnerability. The one who cried was pointed out as weak and unstable emotional. And children and young people were taught about the social value of never openly showing deep feelings. Tears were understood as something negative and we were denied permission to cry. Fortunately, medical and psychological sciences have discovered the healing power of crying. And they show us today that, through crying, we can not only reconcile with sorrows of the past and with ourselves. But also with that connection of the energy light that we all possess.

Tears, whether of joy or sadness, are a healing balm.

According to a study I read, conducted in Minnesota, United States, tears contain high concentrations of various substances. Sodium chloride (salt), mucin, lactoferrin. Lipocalin, lacritin and immunoglobulins. Glucose and lipids. All these as natural agents that defend our eyes against infections and keep them healthy and lubricated. But they also contain other substances such as potassium chloride and manganese. Endorphins, prolactin and adenocorticotropin. And when our brain is saturated with the latter, depressive sensations occur. Therefore, crying is a magnificent emotional healing therapy . By freeing ourselves from these substances that could accumulate due to stress, anguish, fear, or specific penalties. It is also proven to cry, during or after a traumatic event. It helps stabilize the heart rate and relaxes muscle tension.

That on the physical side of crying . In spiritual and emotional terrain, crying gives us divine benefits. The consolidation of an act of forgiveness. The reunion with a loved one or with our higher self. In terms of losses, tears are the best remedy against internal pain. They are also a portal to discovery. Emotional therapists use this valuable resource to help their patients find the point of origin of their problems.

If you feel like crying, do it. Even if you don't know why you have that desire.

On your own or assisted by a specialist, crying is therapeutic. Give yourself permission to experience all its benefits.

Yes. The center of this concept is GIVING PERMIT. Even today, we continue to drag part of past schemes. We find a lot of social resistance to open ourselves through crying . We must finish the work that so many students of the subject have done. And consciously understand that crying is part of all of us. If it were not something completely natural, we would not generate tears . Nor would we have the ability to cry them, or the urge to take them out under certain circumstances.

Let's focus on transcending well above traditions and guidelines of the past.

Crying can be a faithful ally to bring order and structure our emotions. And keep it healthy and balanced.

I have met people who have such ingrained concepts that relate to the fact of crying with vulnerability. They simply lost the ability to do so. However there are tricks that we can use to remember how to cry . You can search for a space alone in your home and watch a very sad theme movie. Or meditate on difficult facts of your past. Without witnesses who may call you vulnerable or unstable, it is feasible for you to give yourself that permission and cry.

You will realize that crying frees your soul from heavy burdens. And in the end you will feel much better.

With the necessary time and practice, you will regain your freedom to cry. And you will enjoy his blessings. An old friend always told me that tears that do not cry, become bitter inside. And obviously they spread everything around them bitterly.

Let out all your tears of sorrow or joy. They are part of you and deserve that opportunity.
