The danger of nuclear energy

  • 2011

Fission and the fusion of the atom

Nuclear radiation is the most serious pollution that humanity and the planet is supporting, I cannot say it more clearly. It is based on atomic fission which is the cause of the recent catastrophe in Fukushima and a few years ago in Chernobyl. It was also the cause of the explosions of the atomic bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The nuclear energy produced by the fission of the atom is the most dangerous source of energy discovered by man.

The alternative is in the fusion of the cold atom that is harmless and clean since it does not produce waste. It can be obtained from a simple water isotope, more specifically using deuterium, the hydrogen isotope, available everywhere: at sea, in rivers and in the rain.

The fusion process, instead of the dangerous fission, is possible and has already been achieved scientifically on a small scale in the laboratory. The scientific community is currently working on the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) project, which is a nuclear reactor based on nuclear fusion that will be operational within 30 or 40 years. The problem is that, although it is safer than a fission reactor, it is not cold, it works at a high temperature.

In addition, we cannot wait that long, the planet is sick, we cannot continue to contaminate it for another thirty years, and the restoration of its health must become our first priority, after saving the millions of people suffering from famine. Our abuse of resources, of insane competition between nations, between companies, has led us to this unfortunate situation.

Certainly the fusion of the cold atom, when achieved, will be one of the most important and decisive discoveries of the 21st century. In fact, there are various formulas for such a merger process, some of which have already been purchased by subsidiaries of the oil industry so that they do not go public and thus protect their domain. It is unfortunate that the vested interests, greed, around the nuclear and oil industry retard this great discovery.

The world's scientists do not know the serious effects on humanity that nuclear radiation has due to the fission of the atom. Today we cannot know the effects that a radioactive leak from a nuclear power plant can have in the medium term. How to prove that the increase in diseases such as autism may be due to nuclear radiation? A cancer can take ten years or more to develop and, therefore, it is difficult to relate it to the radiation suffered by the person long ago.

The etheric states of matter

Our nuclear scientists think they have total control of nuclear energy that clearly does not. The problem is that they believe that there are only three states of matter: solid, liquid and gaseous, and they do not know that there are four more states that are more subtle than air and each of them finer than the previous one, they are called the states etheric matter. The point is that, continuously, a part of the nuclear energy produced in each of the world's nuclear power plants will end up in the atmosphere. This release of energy occurs at the etheric level and scientists do not have devices that can detect it and, therefore, deny that this takes place.

Let's make a paragraph and talk a little about the etheric states of matter.

Historically, since Aristotle's time, ether, a substance that permeates the entire space, has been considered a scientific fact. For Aristotle (384-322 BC) the ether is the fifth element of nature, the other four are earth, water, fire and air. It is much more subtle and lighter than air.

In the Middle Ages, precisely because it is the fifth material element recognized by Aristotle, it began to be called the "fifth element" or also "fifth essence", where the current expression of "quintessence" (used in current cosmology to refer to the dark energy).

Towards the end of the 19th century, James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879) proposed that light was a transverse wave. Since it is not conceivable that a wave will propagate in a vacuum without any material medium to support it, Maxwell postulated that light propagated on a material substance called ether.

In an attempt to prove the existence of the ether Albert Abraham Michelson (1852-1931) and Edwuard Morley (1838-1923) designed in 1887 an experiment, the famous experiment of Michelson and Morley. The results were negative and, unfortunately, they could not detect a stationary ether, so that classical physicists mistakenly presumed, once and for all, that etheric matter did not exist. So today most scientists believe that empty space is completely empty, devoid of anything and, therefore, ether does not exist.

However, it was Einstein himself who said in 1920: “There are strong arguments to argue in favor of the ether hypothesis. Denying the ether forces us to assume, ultimately, that the empty space does not possess any kind of physical properties. The fundamental facts of mechanics do not harmonize with this approach …… According to the General Theory of Relatividadal space, some qualities must be assigned; In this sense, therefore, there is an ether. According to the General Theory of Relativity of space without ether is unthinkable. ”

The existence of etheric matter was demonstrated in 1939, in several simple experiments, by the great scientist and psychologist Wilhem Reich who was Freud's companion and assistant. Reich saw the four etheric planes as a field of matter which he called "orgon" and considered, correctly, that he was everywhere in the universe supporting the outer solid physical plane. Unfortunately, he was arrested because he used instruments he called the "organic accumulator", boxes that accumulated etheric energy, to treat diseases including cancer and other ailments. In North America that was considered illegal and the Food and Drug Administration arrested him, refused to allow him to prove his work, and he died in prison in 1957.

Today, scientists are trying to understand a phenomenon they call `` dark matter. '' Their calculations indicate that it exists, but they cannot detect it. The so-called `` dark matter '' or `` quintessence '' are the four ethereal planes.

Perhaps physics can help to discover the reality of the etheric matter that I have no doubt will be accepted again in the near future by scientists . In fact, the modern approach to quantum mechanics is that the empty space is not empty, but that it is an intense flow of energy that goes in all directions to the Same time.

Pollution of the planet due to nuclear energy

Returning to the issue of nuclear power plants, as I said before, the question is that, continuously, a part of the nuclear energy produced in each of the world's nuclear power plants will end up in the atmosphere. Sphere This release of energy occurs at the ethereal level and scientists do not have devices that can detect it and, therefore, deny that this takes place since they do not recognize the states of ethics. Rich of matter.

This nuclear energy that is going to stop the atmosphere has enormous power and is poisoning the planet. It weakens the immune system of people and, therefore, leaves us exposed to diseases that otherwise would not affect us: flu, allergies and other diseases that we are less and less able to cope with. More and more people, at an early age, suffer from Alzheimer's disease and this is due to the high concentrations of nuclear energy, at the ethereal levels, which are going to stop at the atmosphere Sphere. This radiation affects the human brain, causing more and more Alzheimer's, memory loss, disorientation and the gradual collapse of our body's defense system.

Each day the number of people who realize the danger of nuclear radiation increases. In an opinion piece for the New York Times entitled `` Dangerous at any dose, '' veteran anti-nuclear activist, Dr. Helen Caldicott, states that the health effects of radiation Nuclear power stations are much more severe than what nuclear energy advocates admit. So physicists talk about permissible radiation doses, however, doctors know that there is no such thing as a safe dose of radiation. Caldicott indicates that because cancer takes years, and sometimes decades, to develop, and that genetic changes derived from radiation can take generations to appear, We probably cannot imagine how many cancers and other diseases will be caused in the distant future by the radioactive isotopes emitted by Chernobyl and Fukushima. Caldicott concludes by saying The physicists had the knowledge to begin the nuclear era. The doctors have the knowledge, credibility and legitimacy to end it.

Nuclear energy by atomic physics should not be used, is deadly and is increasingly poisoning the health of people and, in general, of all life of the planet

Closure of nuclear power plants

In case the situation is not tragic enough, the danger increases more and more because there are a large number of old nuclear power plants in Eastern Europe. The businessman Edgard Goldsmith calculated, in a book of his, that there are at least 41 disasters similar to Chernobyl that can occur in Eastern Europe. In fact, all plants with more than 20 years old are especially dangerous whether they have suffered an accident or not.

In these days in which I am making this writing has appeared in the press, on 7-30-2011, the announcement that the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) has agreed that the two reactors of the Ascó nuclear power plant ( Tarragona) continue to operate for another ten years, until 2021. By then they will be close to forty years in operation, Ascó I began its activities in 1983 and Ascó II in 1985. The first operating permit was for twenty years and then it He has renewed the license twice, once in 2001 for ten years and now for another ten years. Remember that this plant suffered a radioactive leak in 2008, this incident is one of the most serious cases in nuclear history in Spain and is pending trial in the court of Gandesa. The danger of this nuclear power plant with almost thirty years of operation is very high and every year that passes will be much more. I think it should be closed now.

On the other hand, it must be borne in mind that today there is no totally safe way to store the radioactive waste produced by nuclear power plants. One of the by-products, plutonium 239, has a half-life of 24, 100 years. This means that, after 24, 100 years, the radiation intensity will have decreased by only 50% and will take 241, 000 years until the radiation decreases by a factor of 1, 000, which is considered a safe level. How can we guarantee that our descendants will not be exposed to this waste for 10, 000 generations? We cannot predict future geological movements nor can we guarantee that in 24, 000 years there will be no earthquake, flood or terrorist attack in the area where the nuclear cemetery is located.

It is curious that all insurance companies refuse to insure against nuclear accidents. If risk estimation experts are not willing to risk their money, why are people forced to risk their lives?

It is urgent to close all nuclear fission reactors. Germany already has a plan to close all nuclear power plants. The conservative government of Ángela Merkel proposes a gradual exit of nuclear energy until 2022 and has announced new energy policies. Ángela Merkel, who has a PhD in Physics, publicly admitted: "The Fukushima catastrophe, whose total extent we still do not know, has also changed my personal position on nuclear energy and its risks."

German environmentalists believe that an earlier nuclear energy withdrawal would be possible by 2017, and replace it with safe and safer alternative energies such as wind, photovoltaic, hydroelectric and geothermal.

In an interview for the weekly Die Zeit, Kumi Naidoo, director of Greenpeace, highlighted the enormous opportunity that a German exit from nuclear energy could mean. According to Naidoo, Germany could become "a global example" and thus play a substantial role in energy policies for a sustainable future.

I believe that Naidoo's hope will come true and, over time, other countries will follow the German example. In an article published in La Vanguardia, on 07-14-2011, it is highlighted that the Japanese Prime Minister, Naoto Kan, is now betting because his country leaves nuclear energy. Kan said the terrible nuclear accident at the Fukushima plant, which occurred four months ago, has convinced him of the need for Japan to stop relying on nuclear energy and building more nuclear power plants.

"Given the magnitude of the risks associated with the generation of atomic energy, I have realized that nuclear technology is not something that can be managed based only on conventional security measures, " Kan said in a press conference broadcast by the television. "I think we have to fight for a society that does not depend on nuclear power generation, " he added.

The Japanese president is committed to a progressive reduction of nuclear dependence, which runs parallel to an increase in so-called renewable energy (solar, wind….). According to a survey published by the Asahi newspaper, 77% of Japanese support their gradual abolition.

Nuclear power plants are closely linked to nuclear weapons, I believe that if nuclear power plants are not closed, nuclear weapons stockpiles will continue to exist. The nuclear weapon is the most powerful ever conceived, far more deadly than the atomic bombs that at the end of the Second World War ravaged Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So if there were a third world war it would be a nuclear war and we would destroy ourselves, it would be the end of life on planet Earth.

The tragedy of Fukushima combined with the growing public opinion worldwide can provide an unprecedented impulse to solve once and for all the great problem of energy. It is up to us and I believe that it is a right and a duty that citizens have to demand from our politicians to go in the right direction and not be carried away by the economic interests of a few rich and powerful people. What has to prevail is the safety and well-being of people and we have to get rid of nuclear radiation in all its aspects as soon as we can.

The nuclear lobby

There are very powerful pressure groups that do not want nuclear plants to disappear. The reason is the economic interests around nuclear energy. Nuclear power plants are highly profitable for the people who control them. Every day that a nuclear reactor is operational, large energy companies earn approximately one million euros per reactor.

The electricity of a nuclear power plant can be cut if people do not pay the bills, but the energy of the sun collected on the roofs of the houses cannot be cut; It makes people independent. It is clear that the nuclear lobby does not want that.

There are many projects for cars that do not need gasoline stored in the safes of some large car manufacturers until the oil runs out. So, for now, it is not important to eliminate internal combustion engines and bet on electric cars, everything and that in cities would greatly reduce air pollution and CO 2 emissions. which, as we know, are causing global warming and climate change. Once again the vested interests of a few are above the interests of most people.

Scientists go where the money goes. They cannot do research without having the necessary funding and this is a big problem since rich and powerful people are not in charge of financing research that harms their economic interests and, in some cases, they buy the patent of some technological advancement to hide it and do not go public.

There are cases in which a certain fusion process was developed that, as we have already mentioned, is the best solution to get the energy of the atom since it is totally clean and does not contaminate, and was bought and hidden in a drawer so that it does not interfere with the millions of dollars that are generated for some people by nuclear fission. This is very serious.

Historically there have been many cases of inventors who have encountered the economic interests of the time and have not been able to develop their technology that would have been so beneficial to humanity. Let's comment a little two of the best known: Nikola Tesla and T. Henry Moray.

Nikola Tesla is known for engineering the coil that bears his name and for his studies on alternating current. He believed in the concept of etheric matter and thought that electric energy was present everywhere in unlimited quantities. In fact, if you brush your hair or touch an object, sometimes an electric shock occurs. According to Tesla, this energy comes out of the energy that operates throughout the universe: cosmic energy. Although current science does not contemplate this energy, there are a number of scientists who do accept it since the equations of quantum mechanics show that it is there and call it free energy or "zero point energy" (ZPE). Basically it is energy contained in the empty space, energy that is undetectable by any traditional method, in short, it is energy of the etheric planes that we have commented before.

Tesla's plan was to provide the world with free and free electricity and was on the path of transmitting electricity without wires through his invention: the Wardencliffe tower.

To the wealthy industrialists of the time, in 1901, it did not seem like a good idea, since they could not control the electricity supply and one of them, called JP Morgan, declared: “I cannot put an accountant so I will not finance it” . This literally changed the course of history and in the last 100 years we have suffered the consequences of this interest in economic benefits.

Asked whether his discovery would upset the economic system of the moment, Tesla replied: `` He is already madly upset. He was accused of nuts and ended up disappointed and without money. When he died in 1943, his piles of scientific papers were confiscated by the US government and was removed from the historical archive.

T. Henry Moray, an electrical engineer and a Tesla enthusiast, wrote a revolutionary book in which he explained that Earth flies in an mar of energy a . In 1920 he began working on an apparatus that said he intercepted the radiant energy of outer space. His device extracted 50 kW of electricity. Unfortunately, and like many other inventors had happened, when he refused to sell it to powerful interests, Moray and his family were threatened and his laboratory registered and looted. He was killed by his assistant, Felix Frazer, a communist sympathizer who was frustrated because Moray declined his repeated offers to bring technology to Russia. Today, Moray's children, John and Richard, continue to pursue their father's dream.

Real democracy requires that politicians make decisions taking into account the safety and well-being of the people and not the interests of a few people. The voice of the people is not sufficiently heard in the spheres of power and it is necessary require our politicians to deal with the serious problems that the planet has, one of them is, without a doubt, the safe capture of the energy we need.

The transformation of people's consciousness

We are at a crucial moment in the history of mankind, immersed in a crisis like never before, it is not only an economic crisis, it is also a social crisis with two thirds parts of humanity going hungry and all kinds of misery, it is also a political crisis since we have democracies where corruption and waste cases abound and, finally, as regards the environment, we have a sick planet since pollution reaches everywhere: to the air, to the waters of the rivers and the oceans and to the crops of the lands.

I would like to remember a few words pronounced by Jos Saramago, Nobel Prize for Literature: What is being prepared on the planet is simply a world for the rich, of course there will be poor, but the world It will be for the enjoyment of the rich. human being, and I don't want to be more than that. The awareness that what is in the world belongs to me, not in the sense of ownership, belongs to me as a responsibility, it belongs to me with the right to know, with the right to intervene, with the right to change, that is called conscience, and this is won and lost and renewed every day.

It is urgent, therefore, a change of mentality and do things differently. We have an economy that is based on an uncontrolled competitiveness, an exaggerated consumerism and a sickly greed that makes us squander the planet's resources. A third of humanity, the developed world, consumes, or rather, wastes, 80% of available resources.

Governments are in the hands of financial markets. How is it possible that in one part of the world powerful people devote themselves to speculating to the point of embarrassing several countries, one of them Spain, while elsewhere, in Somalia, they are suffering from a terrible famine that is killing the population?. I think Saramago is right, we have a world for the rich and, as a consequence, the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer. So the crisis had to come, we cannot continue acting in this way, it is unsustainable.

We do not have much time, we can say that humanity is like a car that goes towards the cliff, or we hit the steering wheel or we fall into the cliff. It seems that if in 15 or 20 years we do not stop poisoning the planet and free it from all contamination we will reach a point where many of the damages caused will be irreversible, there will be no solution.

This will require a transformation of the consciousness of each one of us. We have to transcend the old and selfish awareness of the "I" that consists in thinking "I take care of my interests and others who get away", causing most of the problems we have and realize that the planet is one, the humanity is one. We have to stop competing for the resources of the planet since, if we make proper use of them, there are enough for all people, nobody has to die of starvation due to lack of food.

I sincerely believe that in the next 25 years there will be that transformation of consciousness in people that will make possible, among other things, the complete cessation of all activity related to nuclear energy produced by fission. At the same time we will bet on alternative energies and scientists will have the necessary funding to dedicate their time and effort to realize the cold fusion of the atom. This is the way, there is no other; It is a matter of survival.

In fact, changes are already taking place in the world, looking at what the Tunisians have peacefully gathered in a square, nothing more and nothing less than to overthrow a dictator who had been in power for many years. The Arab revolution, the so-called "Arab spring", is an example that people are becoming aware that they have the right to justice, freedom and to live with dignity.

Who knows? Maybe Tesla and Moray's old dream of getting free and free energy for everyone, will one day come true. All that is required is to recognize that we all form a great family, Humanity, and therefore that energy, raw materials, food, scientific knowledge, technology, educational systems and health services of the world belong to all, and should be redistributed more equitably throughout the world. If the day comes when we are aware of it, which I believe will come, the planet will have been saved and life will be much easier for everyone.

To conclude, I would like to symbolically raise a banner and add it to those of the 15-M Movement that appeared in Puertadel Sol: “You don't have to put counters to nature, the resources belong to everyone”.
