The Element of Air
The wheel of the year has an ascending and descending cycle. With the entry of the Sun in Cancer's water sign during the summer solstice, we enter the phase in which matter becomes denser again. Thus, Cancer marks a change of direction in the etheric pulsation of the planet. The waters of the sky descend to reach the lowest point in Scorpio and then ascend again. That is why the theme of this month's Lunar Messenger is: The theme of this month's Lunar Messenger is, therefore, "Signs of Transformation 12: The Element of Water."
The Pass of the Waters
In a spiritual understanding water means something different than in the everyday use of the term. In many theologies, water refers to the original matter called the Mother of the World, because it is the basis of all manifestation in it. Water is also considered as chaos or as the ether in which the Absolute God manifests as creation. Water with its three states of vapor, ice and liquid represents the three gradations of the ether, from which the manifestation of the seven planes of existence emerges. Water in the physical plane is the manifestation of the ether of the solar plane and the cosmic plane. It represents the life energy that is electricity or electric fire in space. The objective of the water ritual (Abhishekam) is the manifestation of electrical energy from the invisible to the visible planes.
Water in its subtle form is electricity. The waters of the earth are nothing but the waters of heaven. The waters represent the dense and the subtle. What we see as water is the physical form of energy. Therefore we energize ourselves when we drink water or when we shower. Energy has a cyclic movement, from the subtle to the dense, and from the dense to the subtle. The trajectory of the waters is called NARAYANA. AYANA means the path; NA is the sound related to the return, RA is the sound the emergence. NA means evolution; RA represents the involution of the Cosmic Person in which we live, move and have our existence. The descent of the Lord occurs through the descent of the waters. Souls rise again through rising waters.
This route of ascent and descent also exists in a month in the form of the ascending and descending phases of the Moon. With the oceans, the moon causes the tides and has something to do with the magnetic currents of water and ether. In the course of the year we have the upward and downward movement in the North and South course of the sun.
The waters of the earth also have this double movement. Through the sun, they are elevated to the sky, through the rain they descend again. When elevated, the contaminated water is purified and distilled again in drinking water. In earlier times, rainwater was considered the purest water; but we have polluted our atmosphere and a layer of pollution has formed around the planet, created by industries. Consequently, we often cannot drink that water directly. Similarly, the oceans and almost all rivers are contaminated and the water has to be treated first before we can drink it. We have to make sure that we purify the waters of the earth and also that we keep the waters in our body pure by eating and drinking right, through proper thinking and desire.
Emotion and Devotion
Water corresponds to our emotional abode, fire is related to our world of thought. As soon as there is a disturbance in the emotional plane, the water of emotions boils. Every time we shed tears, we paid for previous acts where others had to shed tears for us. Thus, through pain we neutralize the effects of previous acts and transform emotions. Emotion is like muddy water; when it is purified, it becomes the crystalline water of devotion. Devotion and love develop a feeling refined by the feeling of other people. These pure and subtle feelings are compared to the pure etheric waters of the sky.
Adaptability
We cannot separate the spirit and the soul, the soul and the body, just as there is no demarcation between the Atlantic, the Indian and the Pacific; In truth, there is only one ocean. Everything is indivisibly one, but we divide it with our mind to understand. In each of us the divine exists in our form. The soul by itself has no form. However, it appears in a form and according to the form. It is the basis of all formation. However, it is not the way; Similarly, it is not male or female.
When we fill a cup with water, the water takes the form of the cup. It always adapts its shape according to the container, but maintains a horizontal level on its surface. The same goes for pure existence. Water in different forms and states is just water. Its essence remains the same, regardless of whether it is transformed into steam, water or ice. However, it has totally different qualities depending on the state: clouds are more subtle than water, ice is denser. But there is no difference in essence. Its appearance as snowflakes, ice crystals, waves or cloud formations are of an impressive variety.
Water is the energy of synthesis. The four elements crumble without water as a synthesizing agent. Our sense of taste is due to water. If the tongue dries without any liquid on it, then it cannot taste anything. Without water, the land is not fertile, there is no fauna or flora. Pure waters lead to a healthy and harmonious environment. All the great civilizations had their splendor at the edge of a river: the Ganges, the Indus, the Nile, the Jordan, the Rhin, the Amazon or the Mississippi, because there is a continuous distribution of energy. The great civilizations arose mainly in the base of great rivers that flow towards the east or the north, the movement from the dense towards the subtle.
People who live near a fountain, a river or an ocean are helped by water. Any waterfall is sacred, purifies the environment. Those who have to live in places where there are no rivers, lakes or nearby oceans, in places where it rarely rains, become stiff and tense. They are not able to change easily. There are communities that live in very dry places, where people naturally tend to be rougher. Water represents the ability to adapt well to changing situations. Who has a good water energy in his horoscope gets along with anyone and can meet her on his own level. If water is missing in our horoscope, we lack adaptability. Without enough water, transformations are not possible.
Currents of Life and Purification
Flowing waters and spring waters have more life currents than stagnant or stored water. Water should not be stored more than seven days after bottling because otherwise, it substantially loses the vital force. Water stored in plastic containers is not as healthy as that stored in clay pots, because plastic does not allow the vitalizing energy to flow through it. Glass containers are considered the best. In the past, water was always stored in India in brass containers; Indian studies reveal that it is healthier. Mineral water is stored water and does not contain much vital force. Filtered water weakens the resistance forces of the body.
If the water is boiled, all undesirable things are burned in it. It should be drunk as hot as the mouth can withstand it. We should not drink boiled water after it has cooled because cooling attracts undesirable things from the atmosphere. Those who prefer cold food and cold water tend to inertia. Today drinking water is often offered with ice cubes. This is a disadvantage and leads us more and more towards the dense material.
Our foods are clean and well packed in plastic bags so they can be prepared directly. However, we must first wash them at home to clean them from the commercial vibrations of the supermarket. If we eat them without washing, we get commercial thoughts. If we have to eat outside, it is good to clean the fruits with water; We can also bless the food to purify its vibration.
Crowded places, entertainment centers, and also hospitals and funeral homes drag us into ways of thinking that adhere to places and can weaken us. We receive the desire to buy or sexual thoughts, or a sadness invades us. These energies are like vampires that capture our weaknesses. That is why it is recommended without reservation to wash or take a bath as soon as possible to recover our energy system. Ayurveda says that water purifies men and God equally.
