The Bodichita theme is very important in the East and specifically in Tibetan culture, it is in the advanced practice of accomplished teachers and yogis with deep inner growth.

the mind of awakening.

The meaning of Bodhichitta is Mind of Awakening and is divided into two states or levels, so to speak: the Relative Bodhichitta and the Absolute Bodhichitta.

When we talk about the Relative Bodhichitta we refer to the kind and altruistic spirit that exists in us but which is still somehow contaminated by not so pure motivations that are basically permeated by our Ego or Personal Importance.

For example, when we help someone on the street by giving them a coin, we usually do it thinking that it is the right thing to "help others", or because maybe at some point we will need someone and they will be given us a positive return, or because if others watch us helping someone may think that we are good people ... of course they are excellent actions but they are contaminated with intentions beyond those of simply being useful to others.

habits without kindly intention…

The Relative Bodhichitta is the most common, sometimes it becomes a habit in which we stop wishing for the good of the other. In the West it is common to donate ten percent of the monthly salary and it is known as Tithing, this is very good until it becomes a list of our activities in which we do not generate the deep intention of whoever it is for whom the contribution that actually benefited them is destined ... that is of real utility.

We also find Companies that prefer to deduct taxes by making donations, which is very good because it is still a constructive action that is in some way inked with another intention that is not simply to help .

give without waiting for retribution….

Some teachers say that giving others support, food, clothing, teaching is very good as long as we do not expect any compensation in return, this is to give for the simple fact of giving, because we feel good and happier when we are useful.

When the intention is not stained by our personal interests, when it transcends the duality of the "I" and the "Other", and there is no process of conceptualizing, that is, when we do not need to explain what we feel and in doing so we only experience an energy A powerful one that emerges from within us that fills us with joy. We are approaching what is known as the Absolute Bodhichitta.

beings without second intention.

It is said that the Absolute Bodhichitta is born in beings of higher internal or spiritual development such as the Buddhas and Bodhitsatvas in which there is no second intention in the activities they perform.

The Absolute Bodhichitta is also achieved when we have detached ourselves from our afflictions such as envy, selfishness, jealousy and the eighty-four thousand plus that comprise the total non-constructive emotions that may exist in our intention.

If we let go of these non-edifying feelings, we will ultimately find the compassionate, kind and altruistic nature of the mind, the Pure Bodichita in action.

act in a genuine and spontaneous way…

The important thing is to work with the Relative Bodhichitta at every moment until the Absolute Bodhichitta emerges spontaneously and genuinely within us.

Practitioners who have great internal development conceive of the Absolute or Pure Bodhichitta as a great sign or step in its realization ... it is important to remember that we all have the potential of its update, as it is always necessary to remain attentive and kind ... very kind ... so that in a fortunate moment the generous and altruistic spirit of the awakened mind is born in us in a pure and spontaneous way.
