Of course it is strange that we are going to dedicate the little bit when we sometimes think that it is only enough to thank what we receive, or not to bother anyone around us, something as well as remaining neutral or immobile in the situations that surround us.

But Dedicating the m rito is very important in Eastern traditions, in Tibetan culture it is essential, it is part of what they do daily, at all times.

What is the dedication of the mite?

But what does the practice of dedicating the merit consist of? Basically in offering all the constructive and edifying effort that we make in all the moments of our daily life for the benefit of everything that needs it, the beings that are close to us as friends and family, those that are neutral to us or acquaintances and all those we do not know as people from other countries or states, who may be going through difficult times.

In difficult times we can include those material, emotional and spiritual as, perhaps, overcome the loss of a loved one or work, some health concern and also some spiritual obstacles such as not being able to connect with ourselves or in meditation when after investing a lot of time we don't get any progress in our performance.

offer the positive effort

What makes the difference here is that instead of asking, we are oriented to offer all the effort made and invested in doing uplifting activities for the benefit of others, for example when perhaps instead of reacting with anger to difficult situations what we do is to remain patient, tolerant and empathetic, it is certainly an activity that requires a lot of energy, concentration and good guidance from us, that is why we generate a lot of positive merit and instead of staying it or letting it be lost we dedicate it to Everyone who needs it.

Similarly, if at any time we harm someone and we realize that we have made a mistake, we can dedicate that all the positive merit resulting from repentance and restitution of the damage be of well-being for all those who need it.

Somehow this practice allows us to be attentive to our actions and that in a subsequent way everything we do in mind, word and body counts, so staying aware of what we do is also a way to generate a lot of positive merit.

When we dedicate merit basically what we must do is say or wish internally:

“That by this merit I can free all beings from suffering agitated by the stormy waves of birth, sickness, old age and death, that the altruistic spirit can be born where it has not done so and that where it already emerged that no deteriorate but grow more and more. ”

circle of gratitude and good aspirations

It is not so important to say it as it is, the vital thing as always, is that we have every intention of doing so and although it seems a difficult goal to achieve, it is important to generate all possible positive energy for the benefit of all those around us, finally We will be generating a circle of gratitude and good aspirations around us at all times.

Ultimately we will be turning our mind from an approximation of only asking towards offering and thanking, of thinking only for our benefit to that of all others and acting empathically with our environment, understanding that not all of us go through pleasant situations and wish that less all that are not change as much as possible.

for the mind and heart

This practice is very short does not take more than three to five minutes but the impact on our interior and performance is enormous, we are efficiently training our mind and our heart.
