The Lunar Messenger: Full Moon of Aquarius 2013

Wisdom Perspectives 2: Lord Shiva

Aquarius is the third air sign of the zodiac and represents the sudden expansion of understanding. The sign symbol is two undulating lines that represent the energy that, like a lightning bolt, breaks the limitations in us. In its upper aspect, Aquarius corresponds to the path to the "upper bridge" from the center of the eyebrows to the third upper eye, the eye of Shiva on the edge of the hairline. This allows us to understand the secrets of death and rebirth. That is why the theme of this month's Lunar Messenger is: "Wisdom Perspectives 2: Lord Shiva."

The Three Logoi

We can make several dishes of the same vegetables. We create new dishes to not get bored. Likewise, the many forms of creation have emerged from a unique divine principle. There are innumerable forms of expression of the unique principle, which is also revered with many different names. In this way the seers of the Vedic and Puranic tradition create three basic symbols to explain the three basic forces of creation. They called Brahma the creative power, Vishnu the power to preserve, the Lord of existence and Shiva the destructive power or fusion of energy. They call Parabrahman or THAT the absolute God, who can never be put into words or thoughts. The various names only serve our understanding; they do not mark realities independent of each other. However, the followers of the different concepts of God think that there are several Lords of the One Existence and that their understanding is the best. Again and again their ignorance and their claims of supremacy have led to horrible struggles.

For an easier understanding today, Master Djwhal Khul gives English expressions for the three basic forces. In place of Shiva it says "Will", in place of Vishnu "Love" and in place of Brahma "Light". Instead of Parabrahman he speaks of the "background consciousness" beyond the Trinity and its source. It is important to understand the concept, rather than sticking to names. What is described as Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma, is also called the first, second and third cosmic ray, or the triangular activity of the first, second and third cosmic Logos.

It is said that the first Logos is naked, because he is the original spirit without typecasting. That is why Shiva also appears naked. The first clothes around the spirit is the soul; Additional clothes are the senses, the mind and the body in the human being, as well as in the cosmic system. Thus, the second Logos is the typecast of the first Logos; the third Logos is another typecast, while the first Logos, by itself, is not a typecast, but the original spirit.

The Cosmic Dancer

The first Logos is also represented as asleep or described as stable and calm as a stone. After having carried out the creation, he sleeps happily as his base and allows the work of the second and third aspects. In India, there is the representation of Shiva sleeping and Mother dancing on him. For intellectuals, this representation is irritating, but for an intuitive person, it contains many secrets. Wisdom is always like that - it seems incomprehensible to the intellect, but to the sincere seeker, who looks behind the blind, it gives many clues.

In another poetic expression Shiva, like Nataraja, is dancing in an eternal dance, while continuing to create one universe after the other; and if it stopped, the creation would collapse. That is why Shiva is considered the highest Lord of music. In India, those who learn music and dance first touch the feet of the dancing Shiva. The rhythmic dance movements of the waves of the ocean of space are formed by the Gandharvas, whose king is Soma. Soma is considered as an incarnation of Shiva. It is the reflecting principle in creation. All words are nothing more than reflections of the absolute Light through the lunar principle.

In the Puranas, there is an allegory according to which Daksha cursed the Moon to wane until he died. Lord Shiva protected him from this curse and took it as the jewel of the crescent over his head. The crescent moon represents the potential of consciousness. The thin line with which the crescent is illustrated indicates that, even if we do not see the Moon in a new moon, Soma, the beginning of the Moon, is still there. The potential may manifest itself from time to time; otherwise it is pure universal existence.

The Lord of Inner Joy

Through all the changes in the state of creation, Shiva shows a subtle smile on his lips, symbolizing the state of happiness. It is also called the auspicious state. We all try to be happy, but besides happiness there is also the shadow of unhappiness. Wisdom makes us understand that happiness, as well as unhappiness, appear and disappear alternately again and again. Shiva teaches us to maintain balance. Permanent happiness comes from linking with the source, THAT. Thus Shiva is worshiped as the Lord of inner joy. Meditating on the symbol of the smiling Lord with the Moon on his forehead develops the state of happiness.

Allegorically, Shiva is depicted riding the Nandi bull; This is a symbolic illustration that the Divine Will is mounted on the word of God. With words of enlightenment, other people can be raised, being able to touch their souls. Thus, Nandi means someone who has understood Ananda, happiness, experiencing God and thus expressing the direct impulse of Shiva. Master EK says that, esoterically, Nandi means the gap between the pineal and pituitary gland, which in a yogi is filled with the light of self-awareness when he experiences God or the greatest happiness. In the Mystic Mantras it is called "Beginning of the upper bridge".

The Eye of Shiva

The upper bridge is the path from the center of the forehead, between the eyes, to the eye of Shiva in us, the third upper eye directly below the hairline. The center of the eyebrows belongs to the pituitary and is the highest point to which human consciousness, that is, personality, can rise. The third eye, called Ajna is the seat of the soul and is linked to the pineal gland. The third upper eye, the eye of Shiva is above the Ajna center. It is the center of the first cosmic ray, while the Ajna center is related to the second and the center of the eyebrows with the third ray. The eye of Shiva only opens when the upper circles decide and when there is a need to reinforce and support the will of the individual soul. It opens for a new flow of energy or to aspirate what is in existence. That is why the Scriptures say, `` If Shiva opens his eye, everything could be destroyed. ''

Agastya and Shiva

The energetic energy, called Shiva, very rarely uses this center in man. The rain is like a shower full of energy. We can visualize how Lord Shiva closes his eyes and receives immeasurable energy that descends vertically in his head and disperses. This is represented symbolically as the rain of the Ganga energies, the manifestation of the Ganges. In this way, the CVV Master assimilated the rain of the synthesis energy on March 31, 1910 when he descended from the upper circles of the earth. He had been waiting for this descending energy like a lightning bolt and was ready to absorb it and fix it on the ground. Only Lord Shiva could withstand Ganga's energy and receive it; The same happened with the energy of Aquarius. Therefore, Master CVV and Shiva, Lord, form a set. In the Puranas it is said that Shiva, as a God, and Agastya, as a seer, are available in all emergencies. Whenever there has been a great crisis that others could help, Agastya Maharshi (Master J piter, the Elder of the Masters) has been invited to handle the crisis. He worked, through the Master CVV, and this energy enters into us through a new path that he called MTA (matter-time-atom) ). It is a new path; the old road has a little more curves, according to him. That is why the Master can restructure the Sushumna (energy channel in the center of the spine) by means of the prayer he has given and thus allows us to receive the energies. so that the work is completed more quickly. He condenses the ethereal form in us, so that it remains intact. He did superhuman wonders. So he simply took mercury (the liquid related to Mercury) held it in his hands and returned it as a Shiva Lingam. Such condensation of mercury is the great process of an alchemist.

Lingam is a basic symbol of creation, the potential of everything that IS. The cosmic egg contains all conceivable creative intelligences and, for this reason, is worshiped. The spheroid shape of Shiva Lingam is considered a double pyramid with rounded corners. An ancient and very effective practice for protection is to build this double pyramid around oneself. We can also build this double pyramid around our group or together for the planet. This double pyramid can be consciously constructed in us by invoking the angels of all directions and then visualizing the pyramid. It is a work of light to guarantee the protection of Goodwill.
