Moving Towards Internal Freedom ~ Ascended Master Serapis Bey

Have you ever tried to see your thoughts from the inside, my dear ones, where all you see is just thoughts and nothing else? It is important to understand that your thoughts do not necessarily define you as a Divine and Amorous Being, nor do you express your values or your point of view every time. Furthermore, your thoughts have absolutely no power over you and your life, except for the power you give yourself. It is true that just because a thought has suddenly appeared in your mind that does not mean that you should act on it, and it is definitely not required of you to believe from the heart in your thoughts. And it is not written anywhere that you should accept that your thoughts are expressing something significant about you. Understand my dear ones that not even your thoughts, your breath of life or even the pulse of your beating heart define you. And yet, if they only notice the meaning of their thoughts and become captives of their semantics, then they become attached to them. Taking a step back they can observe and go beyond their meaning in order to see them with the eye of their mind, for that is exactly what they are, a handful of mental words and sometimes images. This is what it means to notice how your thoughts are simply thoughts, and when you do, my dear ones, you are one step closer to your inner freedom. When they strive to observe their thoughts without the possibility of getting lost in them, they will have to reserve adequate time to sit quietly without being disturbed and get in touch with their body and all their sensations, which means that they must be in their body and then focus on their flow of thoughts, and with the slightest light they give them they will be able to observe how their thoughts are formed from beginning to end.

After they recognize the beginning and the end of a thought they will begin to notice the next, and the next, and so on. During all this internal work, my dear ones, it is required that you remain seated in your body so that you do not begin to be diverted by any particular stream of thought. But if consciousness is involved and you realize that you have fallen into your thoughts, then stop observing and return to connect with your body and contact you in order to see your thoughts. Don't blame yourself if you are diverted by your thoughts; just try again and focus more. paying more attention.

When you decide that you want to observe your thoughts from the inside, realize, my dear ones, that this will be difficult because your thoughts flow within many areas in terms of subject and type of thinking. Some thoughts come so quickly that you do not receive any notification or warning that you can be quickly enveloped by them, but you also have some thoughts that are equally powerful and can calm you down so you can sleep - and you do.

We are sure that during the first few minutes of your meditation, thoughts burst through ... ideas arise from the surface of what you still have to do, concerns that have pushed to the back of your mind, and often question whether you are meditating correctly. This is quite common, but when you see them, just get away from them and see them for what they are, and they will soon realize that they are only thoughts and nothing more, nothing less.

We have a simple exercise for you that does not involve meditation or being alone to see your thoughts. The next time you read something, focus carefully on the words and sounds that words make when they are introduced to your mind. With your inner ear, not the audience, you can tune in to the words as you would any thought. But since this exercise is intentional and planned, you will have a better chance of recognizing words and images as thoughts. Although what you have read are not your thoughts, this exercise is a good way to learn to recognize that your own thoughts are just thoughts.

While reading this transmission, take a moment to notice your thoughts without trying to change them. Now add your focus to your mind so that you can watch your thoughts enter and leave your own state of harmony. Let them flow and simply observe what is really there from one moment to another. Although this may seem like a simple practice of observation, it is something extremely subtle that will have incredible effects on you and will direct you to your inner freedom. Understand, my dear ones, that the more comfortable you become and settle in your own body and the more you relax, the more you will increase the opportunities to observe the words and images going through your mind as thoughts. And yet, if for some reason they get restless and rush this exercise or are facing some difficult emotion, they probably won't pay enough attention to observe their thoughts being ... just thoughts!

What will happen is that their thoughts will sweep them away. Then as your thoughts flow in and out you will begin to believe them as they are, and that if you are able to recognize them. This is your normal state, my dear ones, where you allow your thoughts to mold you. Then your universe of thoughts becomes inconsistent, and sometimes contradictory and often reactive, and your external life assumes similar ways that reflect what is happening inside you - this is not internal freedom.

We understand that many of you have what are called 'distressing' thoughts. They may have a situation that is not favorable and that has left them feeling uncertain and perhaps afraid of their outcome, so they tend to worry about it. Your thoughts will continue to return to the situation, causing the cause for concern to come alive again because you have chosen to believe in your thoughts constantly, increasing the level of anxiety and worry.

But if they are able to see their disturbing thoughts for what they are, simply thoughts, they will come to realize that they do not have to flow with them. Yes, they can allow you to move forward without getting caught up in worry or concern. These thoughts are necessary because they contain information that is vital and that they need to consider, and possibly act upon. We know that they will do their best in any difficult situation, and at the same time we encourage them not to give their precious energy to the cause of concern as this will vanish the glorious colors of their life to dull and lifeless tones. So if you want to see your thoughts simply as thoughts and your concerns as simply concerns, you will finally begin to lighten the burden you have been carrying and pave the way for your own freedom.

Of course there are other ways to settle, my dear ones, if you cannot go to a forest or group of trees. We know that many of you have turned to semiprecious crystals and stones for this work and that you acquire their metaphysical properties, while other dear Beings use the aromas of certain natural essences, such as those of sandalwood, incense or even sage for healing and settlement work.

During the hottest season working with the earth helps them connect with Mother Earth and relieves their stress while planting, and even if all they do is put a plant or seed in a pot they will be connecting through the earth and with the plant they are working with.
