Wake up Heart: They summon the “Fourth Dance of the Sun” in Colombia from January 17 to 25, 2016

The " Danza del Sol Colombia Foundation" has called on dancers and support to participate in the "Fourth Dance of the Sun" which will take place from January 17 to 25, 2016 at the El Reto o farm del Ma z located in Guasca-Cundinamarca, 50 kilometers northeast of the city of Bogot, capital of the Republic of Colombia

The planned agenda for this ancestral commitment indicates that Sunday, January 17, will be the first day of purification ; On Monday 18 a visit to the sacred lagoons will take place while on Wednesday 20 the planting of the tree will be carried out and the next day (Thursday 21) will be the beginning of the Dance of the Sun, which will end on Sunday 24. On Monday, January 25, there will be a closing meeting with the indigenous grandparents present.

This spiritual ceremony in which the dancers dance, sing and pray for four days without eating or drinking, has the participation of indigenous chiefs from North America who represent the spirit of the traditional Dance of the Sun, and that they share their medicines with the original peoples of the South joining their cigars in a ritual that seals the medicines with the spiritual integration. The Sun Dance ritual includes offerings of dancers who pray for all their relationships for the year to come

This fourth version of the Dance of the Sun in Colombia represents the fruit of a walk that has required a lot of strength, conviction, work, prayers and even situations that have put the organizers to human beings with their same relationships as human beings, in the understanding of Dance, by the force of the magnitude, importance and sacredness of this ritual.

Greetings and invitation

The blessings for which they have prayed are already coming to their lives, strengthening the bond of this great family, guided by wisdom and the experience of Grandfather Alfonso Castillo who in his invitation greeting The Fourth Dance of the Sun has expressed the following: Grandparents, Supports, Dancers, Chiefs: JICHA GUE MUE . A fraternal greeting, wishing you that this new year will fill us with the blessings acquired during our third Dance of the Sun and take us to the portal of EL NORTE . We begin this new cycle with the fresh experiences of the teachings of THE TREE OF LIFE . We enjoyed his protection that sheltered us, and he gave us the meeting place around the center marked by his presence symbolic of the Spiritual Warrior . There we live the interaction between us and all aspects of our lives, which nourish and sustain our knowledge and evolution, for our service and to serve all our relationships.

In our fourth DANCE OF THE SUN we are going to live the teachings of the Northern direction. The North is the winter direction of the white snow that evokes our grandparents. Here we find the symbols of the mountain and the sacred lake, symbols of wisdom. In our ascent in this great sacred mountain, it is evident how it becomes more difficult as we ascend, but the higher we stand, the more our capacity to expand See and our resistance. There we learn that all things have an end. The power of the will reaches its maximum height, we recognize the value of finishing what we started. The ability to finish what we started is of vital importance to our well-being and understanding. There we learn what is the detachment that gives us the ability to see the past, the present, and the future as one.

Grandfather Alfonso Castillo, forerunner of this prayer in South America and chief president of the "Danza del Sol Colombia Foundation" adds that "detachment frees us from desires, anger, hate, jealousy, fears, is the detachment of everything, even of the things we love most. It is difficult, but very important to be able to separate ourselves from everything, even from the understanding that we have acquired through our lives and that we believe in it, including love. All this knowledge, this knowledge and feelings, can prevent being able to see clearly and can be a very heavy burden to take to the summit of "the sacred mountain" and the shore "of the sacred lake . "

“For us to be able to separate ourselves from our feelings, we have to see ourselves from the center of“ the medicine wheel ”, from there we can see how we are part of“ the whole ”. When we can see each other in this way, we have learned the lesson of detachment. We can see our feelings, thoughts, our interior, and we know that they are reflections in the "mirror of the sacred lake." We learn the beginning of the detachment lesson in the fires of "love." Learned lessons

During the call to this new edition, the "Danza del Sol Colombia Foundation" shared its joy and happiness for the blessings received after the "Third Dance of the Sun" was carried out in South American territory, with all those who contributed from their understanding and their heart actions and wills to integrate the medicines of the north and the south and realize the prophecy of the eagle and the condor.

“It is keeping alive the memory that makes us historic, that reminds us of where we come from, and that strengthens us as a community, as a family, as a people. So it is essential not to lose sight of the leading and foundational role of Álvaro Castañeda in the sowing of this medicine in Colombia ”, they express from the Foundation, while adding “ we are sowing interculturality as a life project based on harmony, love, fraternity, solidarity, bringing together the cosmogonies of the north, the center and the south of America to produce a continental, world, universal payment in pursuit of our relations and the conservation of the planet ”.

For the invitation to the First Dance of the Sun in Colombia and convened in the territory of Maya Cundinamarca in January 2013, we worked in co-participation with the Fundación Tejido Latinoamericano . For that first call to Dance, emphasis was placed on the importance of preserving the cultural diversity represented in the ancestral traditions of the original peoples of America, making a proclamation for peace and life. The call of the Lakota peoples of North America, of the Mamos of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, of the grandparents of the Amazon and Putumayo, as well as the Sikuanis grandparents of the eastern plains, who have expressed the need to meet to share knowledge, share the sacred word and pray in unison for peace and life.

For the invitation to the Second Dance of the Sun in Colombia also convened in the territory of Maya Cundinamarca, thanks to the maturation of this process, the Danza del Sol Foundation was strengthened as a tool for everyone to work together, so that both dancers and supporters could participate more forcefully in the organization and preparation of the Dance of the Sun, which is not only the 10 days that comprise the stay in the territory, but also represents all the actions and prayers aimed at guiding and visioning the path on this path.

In the invitation to the Third Sun Dance, grandfather Alfonso Castillo recalled how for that version the gifts and blessings of the west (west) were to arrive: perseverance, prayer and meditation . He also shared the idea that dance helps us to truly grow as human beings if we bring into communion the four dimensions of our nature: the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body, dimensions that are directly related to the four cardinal points. That third version of the Dance of the Sun in Colombia, following the signs that the road indicated, led to the change of territory to Guasca, Cundinamarca (Colombia), ancestral territory of agreements, which allowed payment to the sacred lagoons of Siecha and the spiritual inhabitants of the territory to ask permission to do the Dance there.
