Changes in the Earth's Magnetic Poles

The magnetic North Pole has quadrupled its travel speed in recent years, supposedly due to the geomagnetic movements that occurred in the center of the Earth. In the next few years, the magnetic north will leave Canada to move, it is presumed to Siberia.

Indeed, the magnetic "North Pole" is moving at an unusual speed and in the first months of 2005 will no longer be in Canada to go to Russia. Its travel speed has increased enormously, going from 10 kilometers per year in 1970, to 40 kilometers per year today. According to Larry Newitt, the reason for this acceleration in the displacement of the magnetic pole is due to geomagnetic shocks that occur in the center of the Earth.

Currently, the magnetic North Pole is located about 150 kilometers northwest of the island Ellef Ringnes, north of the Arctic archipelago. The Earth's magnetic pole is located at the place where the Earth's magnetic field is perpendicular to the Earth's surface. Its importance is that its distance from the geographical north pole forms an angle that allows to calculate the magnetic decline, essential for navigation.

This magnetic field originates from the currents coming from the fusion of metals in the center of the Earth and normally aligns on the axis of rotation of our planet. Thus the magnetic field is a fluid conductor of electricity in constant motion. On this incandescent core, the liquid outer core is furiously agitated, this outer core also suffers a kind of hurricanes or eddies generated by Coriolis forces, produced by the earth's rotation. These complex movements generate the magnetism of our planet. Thus, the planet as we centered it, will soon cease to be and it will be a mystery what the consequences of this may be, since the last inversion of the poles occurred 780, 000 years ago and we can only predict some behaviors.

The anomalies that suggest the inversion of the terrestrial magnetic field have been discovered by analyzing the data provided by the Orsted satellites (launched in 1999) and Magsat (1979/80), which according to the team responsible for analyzing the data, these reveal the beginnings of a new investment of the Earth's poles. The anomalies, if they could be called that, since this is a normal process, have been detected mainly in the polar latitudes and south of South Africa, although also to a lesser extent in the depths of the Pacific Ocean.

Studies on the behavior of the magnetic field are carried out through various observation mechanisms, particularly magnetic observatories that make up a total of one hundred and fifty strategically located in the most diverse points of the planet, quite far from artificial electromagnetic sources. .

These observatories have allowed to determine the rate of evolution of the magnetic fields. The research has been completed with measurement campaigns carried out periodically at regional level on a repetition network, which has allowed to establish the update of the magnetic maps of different regions of the planet.

Generally, these observations of the Earth's magnetic field are made by means of instruments located on satellites at an altitude of approximately seven hundred kilometers, which has made it possible to prepare maps of the magnetic field at a global and regional level, since radios of five hundred kilometers are covered from the satellites. They are not noticeable through regional observations.

All data is collected in a database that is what allows us to obtain the conclusions provided by the Hulot team. But as of 2002, the team of researchers from geophysicist Gauthier Hulot compared the magnetic field readings sent to Earth by the Magsat and Oersted satellites in 1979 and 1980, respectively, and revealed a marked weakening of it in the Polo regions North and South Africa

On the other hand and almost simultaneously another phenomenon has astonished scientists, since the Sun has just undergone a major change. The magnetic field of our star has been inverted. The magnetic north pole of the Sun, which was located in the northern hemisphere only a few months ago, now points south. It is a rare situation, but not unexpected.

The magnetic poles of the Sun will remain as they are now, with the magnetic north pole pointing towards the southern hemisphere of the Sun, until 2012 when they revert back. This transition occurs, as far as we know, every 11 years at the height of each sunspot cycle.

The Sun's magnetic field envelops the entire solar system in a bubble called the heliosphere. The heliosphere extends about 50 or 100 astronomical units (AU) beyond the orbit of Pluto. The changes in the magnetic field of the Sun are carried out of the heliosphere by the solar wind, the disturbances take about a year to propagate from the Sun to the outer parts of the heliosphere.

Because the Sun rotates (once every 27 days), the Sun's magnetic fields meander following the shape of an archimedean spiral. High above the poles, the magnetic field is twisted, due to all the turns and twists, the impact of the inversion of the fields in the heliosphere is complicated. Sunspots are sources of intense magnetic knots that wind outward even if the dipole field fades. The heliosphere does not disappear, when the poles are reversed there are many complex magnetic structures that fill the void that remains.

Now, returning to the earth, already in the 50s the scientists found evidence of previous investments of the Earth's magnetic field, in studies carried out on the sea floor, lava pieces were found containing small grains of magnetic material, magnetite, oriented in the same direction, as if they were multiple compasses that remained so when the volcanic material cooled and solidified. This phenomenon is called paleomagnetism.

By the 1970s, too, it was discovered that some living beings base their sense of orientation on the Earth's magnetic field. finding a strong correlation between recent investments of the magnetic field and the extinction of small marine creatures known as radiolarians, however there is no consensus among the scientific community regarding the relationship between these magnetic overturns and the extinction of certain species.

The lines of magnetic force in the vicinity of the earth's surface curl and become entangled and the magnetic poles appear unexpectedly in unusual places. The magnetic south pole could emerge in Africa, for example, or the north pole could emerge in Tahiti. Strange. But still, it remains a planetary magnetic field, and continues to protect us from space radiation and solar storms.

In conclusion, some researchers believe that we should have experienced an inversion of the magnetic field in our planet for a long time, but nobody knows exactly when it can happen. Investigations are going at an accelerated pace and the Gravitiy Probe B space probe was even put into orbit in April 2004 in search of a force caused by a phenomenon of nature, which is suspected to have existed for a long time, but which has never been able to Be verified: gravitomagnetism. Gravitomagnetism is produced by stars and planets when they rotate, similar to the magnetic field produced by an electric charge ball when it rotates. By changing the electric charge by mass, magnetism becomes gravitomagnetism.

In our daily life we do not perceive gravitomagnetism, but according to Einstein's theory of General Relativity, it exists and is real. When a planet, or a star or a black hole or something with mass, rotates on its own axis, it drags space and time around it, an action known as the "drag of the frame of reference." The spacetime fabric twists to form a vertex. Einstein said that all gravitational forces correspond to the curvature of spacetime, and "the twisted" is gravitomagnetism. If Einstein's equations are correct and gravitomagnetism is real, rotating gyroscopes should oscillate when they travel the It revolves around the Earth.

It seems surprising, but many of these findings and discoveries that seem current have already been studied and predicted by the Maya more than a thousand years ago. They, like many ancestral cultures held a regime of beliefs based on these planetary processes (Itza for the Mayans, Pachacuti for the Aymara, Satya-Yuga for the Vedas) determined with amazing accuracy. The reversal of terrestrial polarity was already predicted in its astronomical codes, coincidentally in 2012, more precisely by December 22, 2012.
