Do you live your life or that of others ?, by Pablo Morano

Today I enjoy the sun that comes to my window, and also the heat that gives us although I think it will soon be time to get a fan here in Santiago.

A few days ago I came across the internet with something that initially made me uneasy, but then I could see that it really served as a call to the world because first of all it showed that we are the ones who lock ourselves up, because we get caught up in stereotypes and ways of thinking that impede our growth and development as humans and as a soul.

What I found was a blog of a person who left a farewell letter that was published automatically after taking his life. It struck me that it was a gentle letter and with enough peace in his words, except for one idea: He claimed to have "a broken mind" and not be able to continue living with that mind like that.

The first questions I asked myself were: What is a "broken mind"? Can a mind be broken? And the second: How can someone convince themselves to have a “broken mind”? How can someone who has a PhD think that they have a “broken mind”?

The mind is a very powerful part of us. Thanks to her, we have the houses we have, the buildings, the cars, the technology, the medicine capable of transplanting an organ if we need it and also a means of communication like this, but like every tool it is the human being who does Using it in a healthy or insane way, this is where the idea that someone can have a "broken mind" makes sense.

As a society since children do not teach us to use the mind as a tool, but they tell us that it is used in one way and only one way, and then any other way must be wrong. In short, they don't teach us to think, but they teach us what to think, and that is the biggest barrier we have today as human beings.

They teach us that the way of living life is one and that it is like a collection of things that we must complete so that one day, when we achieve it, we will be able to be happy.

And so we spent in a game hoping to finish school, then go to college, get married, have children, go to work, buy a car, promotion at work, postgraduate, and so on, postponing life.

They tell us that if we leave that game in which we get into without realizing it since we are little we will suffer, even friends tell us that we will not be able to achieve it and try to stop us for our good, but the truth is that we suffer much more for not Be who we really are.

Then we feel full of insecurities and look for different ways to please other people, more suitable in the game to feel good, so that one day the time comes to enjoy life, but if we do not succeed and get stuck in a vicious circle a "loop" where we live in constant insecurity.

The challenge is that we need that personal security to be able to become ourselves and develop our gift in society, what we really feel can be our contribution to the world, and only each one can give himself that permission, that security . No one can do it for you.

This is the call of attention to the world that I see in the letter of that anonymous: I know who you are, give yourself the time to know yourself more deeply and do something about it; Do not let them convince you that your ideas are less, and that your actions do not count, because each of them can make a world of difference.
