Knowing how our energy leaks is important to keep us healthy. A history of the yoga tradition says that the milk of a lioness should be placed in a container of pure gold because if the container is impure, the milk will eat those impurities as acid and will drain until they are emptied at those points.

The same happens when the yoga practitioner has too many energy leaks, the energy generated with the yoga practice will leak.

How does the energy leak?

1. Tiredness for too much work or multitasking

In our society, this is one of the most common energy leaks. Too much work means leaving little time to relax, play and have the social contact that human beings need and that was fundamental for their evolution throughout history.

These are not only necessary for health, but reinforce the energy container in spiritual practice. The tired body has holes, the energy leaves.

Sometimes the mind says that we cannot afford to do less and use stimuli such as coffee, to hide tiredness.

Multiple tasks, no matter how proud you are of that ability, decrease your effectiveness.

It is more important to be healthy and aware of your needs, and leave 4 hours off per day, at least one day off per week, one weekend per month, and at least three full weeks per year.

Free means not only not being in the office, but not checking emails, thinking about pending, or anything. Just be .

2. Physical body ailments

When the body suffers, prana or vital energy escapes.

Your body is wise, disease is an alarm sign that tells you something. Investigate the natural wisdom of the body to find out what it is, perhaps with the services of an intuitive doctor.

3. Emotional reactivity in excess

The ability to regulate the strength of an emotional response helps us not to invest too much energy in certain things. Emotions are generated or amplified with a mentally constructed belief about a situation.

This energy leakage can be described as losing contact with the natural essence, your natural presence.

An example of emotional reactivity is when you say something angry and then you want to retract ( "I didn't mean that" ).

When you create a comment about yourself and enter the world of pain, full of repetitive thoughts ( How could they? I can't believe what they said about me ) is emotional reactivity.

To solve this reactivity you can try to observe your feelings without appropriating them, but without ignoring them, just being with them as a pure form of energy.

Inquire about your intense emotions, where they come from, what makes you feel, and relax, laugh at yourself. Keep your heart open and allow yourself to feel the pain in the other person and in you.

4. Losing contact with the present

Those who usually live in the world of their mind do not know how much joy and vivacity they lose.

Unfortunately, we are the majority of the people on the planet. We get lost in vikalpas (fantasies, mental images) and move away from the simplicity of our natural state.

This occurs when:

  1. We talk about possible futures in which everything will be happier, fantasies.
  2. We imagine possible futures in which we suffer, anxiety.
  3. We remember the `` good times '' as if we were wearing a pair of pink lenses and wish things were as before, dreams or nostalgia.
  4. We remember past mistakes and think about what we could have been, or done, to blame.

For yogis, inhabiting the worlds of the mind and imaginary realities is the most common form of madness.

In addition to these, there are many other ways in which our energy leaks.

Has it happened to you that your energy sometimes escapes?
