SHAMBHALA The Glowing by Nicholas Roerich

  • 2010

? Lama, tell me about Shambhala!

? «But you Westerners do not know anything about Shambhala, you do not want to know anything. You probably ask just out of curiosity; and you pronounce this sacred word in vain.

Lama, I don't ask about Shambhala without an objective. Everywhere, people know this great symbol under different names. Our scientists look for the slightest hint of this remarkable kingdom. Csoma de Koros knew something about Shambhala when he made his long visit to the Buddhist monasteries. Grunwedel translated the book of the famous Tashi Lama, Pal? Den ye? She, referring to The Route to Shambhala. We feel that a great truth is hidden under secret symbols. Truly, the ardent scientist wishes to know everything about the Kalachakra.

? How can it be, when some of your Westerners desecrate our temples? They smoke inside our sacred sanctuaries; They do not understand or desire to venerate our faith and our teachings. They scoff and make fun of the symbols whose meaning does not penetrate. If we visited your temples, our behavior would be completely different, because your great Bodhisattva, Issa, is really eminent. And none of us would defame the teachings of mercy and justice. »

Lama, only the very ignorant and stupid would ridicule your teachings. All the teachings of justice are as in a sacred place. And no one who is in their right mind will violate the sacred places. Lama, why do you think the essential teaching of the Saint is unknown in the West? Why do you think that in the West we don't know anything about Shambhala?

Lama, on my very table you can see the Kalachakra, the Teaching brought by the great Athisa of India. I know that if a high spirit, already prepared, hears a voice that exclaims Kalagiya is the call to Shambhala. We know that Tashi Lama visited Shambhala. We know the High Priest's book, T'aishan: The red path to Shambhala. We even know the Mongolian song about Shambhala. Who knows, we may even know many new things for you. We know that a young Mongolian lama recently wrote a new book focusing on Shambhala.

The Lama studies us with his penetrating gaze. Then say:

? «The great Shambhala is far beyond the ocean. It is the powerful celestial domain. It has nothing to do with our land. How and why do you, the people of the earth, take an interest in it? Only in some places, in the Far North, can you discern the glowing rays of Shambhala. »

Lama, we know the greatness of Shambhala. We know the reality of this indescribable kingdom. But we also know some of the reality of the earthly Shambhala. We know how high and few lamas went to Shambhala, how on the route they saw the usual physical things. We know the stories of the Lama buriato, how he was accompanied through a very narrow secret gallery. We know that another visitor saw a caravan of mountain inhabitants with salt from the lakes, on the borders of Shambhala. Moreover, we ourselves have seen one of the three strong border towns of Shambhala. So do not speak to me only of the celestial Shambhala, but also of the one on earth, for you know as well as I do that on earth Shambhala is connected with the celestial. And in this link the two worlds are united.

The Lama is silent. With eyes half hidden by the eyelids, examine our faces. And in the late afternoon his story begins:

? «Actually, the time is coming when the Teaching of the Holy One will once again reach the South from the North. The word of Truth, which began its great path from Bodhigaya, will return again to the same places. We must simply accept it as it is: the fact that true teaching will leave Tibet and will appear again in the South. And in all countries the Buddha's alliances will manifest. Actually, great things are coming. You come from the West, however you bring news of Shambhala. We must take it very seriously. It is likely that the lightning of the Rigden Gyeppo tower has reached all countries.

The light of the Tower of Shambhala shines like a diamond. He is there, Rigden Gyeppo, indefatigable, always vigilant of the cause of humanity. His eyes never close and in his magic mirror he sees all the events on earth. The power of his thought penetrates the most remote places. The distance does not exist for him; You can instantly help those who are worthy of it. Its powerful light can destroy any darkness. His immeasurable riches are ready to help everyone who is in need and offers to serve the cause of justice. You can even change the karma of human beings

-Lama, I think you're talking about Maitreya, isn't that right?

We must not pronounce this mystery! There is much that cannot be revealed. There is much that cannot be crystallized in sound. With sound we reveal our thoughts. With sound we project our thinking in space and the result can be that of damage. Because everything that is disclosed before the intended time triggers incalculable damage. They can even cause the greatest catastrophes with these acts so stunned. If Rigden Gyeppo and the Holy Maitreya are one and the same for you, so be it. I haven't said it!

Countless are the inhabitants of Shambhala. Numerous are the splendid new forces and achievements that are being prepared there for humanity

Lama, the Ved nta tells us that very soon new energies will be delivered to humanity. Is it true?

Countless are the great things predestined and prepared. Through the Holy Scriptures we know of the Teaching of the Holy about the inhabitants of distant stars. From the same source we have heard of the flying steel bird of iron snakes that devour the space with fire and smoke. Tathagata, the Saint, predicted everything for the future. He knew that Ridgen Gyeppo's assistants would be reincarnated in due time; that the sacred army would cleanse Lhasa of all its heinous enemies; and that the kingdom of justice will be established.

Lama, if the great warriors are incarnated, will Shambhala's activities not take place here on our land?

? Everywhere, here and in heaven. All benevolent forces will unite to destroy the darkness. Everyone who helps in this great task will be rewarded a hundred times and in this very earth, in this incarnation. All sinners against Shambhala will perish in this incarnation because they have exhausted mercy. »

Lama, you know the truth. Tell me then why there are so many unworthy priests.

? «Certainly, this is not an excuse, but if the Teaching must move south, then it is not surprising that many wise lamas have left Tibet. In the West, do you know that Pan? Chen? Rinpoche (the Lama Tashi) is connected with Shambhala? »

? Lama, we know, of course, that Pan? Chen? Rinpoche is highly esteemed everywhere. In different countries, not only among Buddhists, but among the peoples of many nations, we have noticed how favorable they speak of His Holiness. It is even said that in their private rooms, long before their departure, details of their future trips had been traced in the frescoes. And in this we know that Pan? Chen? Rinpoche follows the customs of all the great lamas. We have been told how during his flight he and his followers escaped many of the greatest dangers.

We know that at one time his persecutors of Lhasa were already upon him, when a great snowfall blocked their path. Another day, Pan? Chen? Rinpoche reached a lake in the mountains; He faced a difficult problem. His enemies were very close to him, but to escape, he would need to make a big detour around the lake. So Pan? Chen? Rinpoche sat to meditate deeply for some time. When he got up, he gave orders that, despite the danger, the entire caravan should spend the night on the shores of the lake. Then the unusual happened: during the night there was a great frost that covered the lake with ice and snow. Before dawn, when it was still dark, Lama Tashi gave orders to his people to move quickly and he and his three hundred followers crossed the lake on the ice along the shortest route, thus escaping danger. When the enemies arrived at the same place, the sun was already high and its rays had melted the ice. They only had to surround the lake. It was not so?

? «Truly, so it was. Pan? Chen? Rinpoche received help from Sacred Shambhala throughout his travels. He saw many wonderful signs when he crossed the highlands to the North. »

"Lama, not far from Ulan?" Davan saw a huge black vulture flying low near our camp. He crossed in the direction of something resplendent and beautiful, flying south over our camp and shining under the sun's rays.

The Lama's eyes seemed to sparkle, anxiously, he asked:

- «Did you also smell the perfumes of the temples of the desert temples?»

You are absolutely right, Lama, in the stony desert, several days from any inhabited place, many of us were both aware of an exquisite trace of perfume. It happened several times. We never smell such a delicious perfume. It reminded me of a certain incense that a friend of mine once gave me in India. Where did he get it from, I don't know.

? «Ah, you are protected by Shambhala. The huge black vulture is your enemy, who is eager to destroy your work, but Shambhala's protective force follows you in this Radiant form of Matter. This force is always close to you, but you cannot always perceive it. Only occasionally does it manifest itself to strengthen and direct you. Have you noticed the direction in which this sphere was moving? You must follow the same direction. You mentioned to me the sacred call: Kalagiya! When someone hears this imperative call, he should know that the route to Shambhala is open to him. He must remember the year he was called, since from that moment and forever, the Holy Rigden Gyeppo will help him in everything. You just have to know and realize how people get help, because many times they refuse help sent to them. »

Lama, tell me how Shambhala helps simple people. We have news of the followers and the incarnated helpers of Shambhala. But how does Shambhala's power manifest among the humble?

? «In untold and multiple ways. Everyone who in past incarnations followed the teachings of justice and was useful for the Common Cause, receives help from this Common Cause. Not many years ago, during the war and restlessness, a man asked a lama if he should change his home. The lama replied that he could stay in the same place for six more months, but then he would be in serious danger and then he should flee without delay. During the six months that followed, the man was very successful in his work; everything was at peace and his possessions multiplied. When the six months came to an end, he thought: “Why would I risk my property leaving this quiet place? Everything seems so prosperous and there is no apparent danger. It is likely that the lama was wrong. "

But the cosmic fluid did not stop. And the predestined danger suddenly arose. The enemy troops approached the place at full speed from both directions. Then, the man realized that he had lost his best chance and that he could not run away now. He hurried to see the same lama and told him what had happened to him.

The lama told him that for certain reasons it was necessary that he be saved; but now is it harder to help you? he added ?. You missed the best opportunity, although I can still do something for you. Tomorrow, reunite your family and head with her to the North. Along the way you will meet your enemies. It is unavoidable. When you see them move forward, get out of the way and remain silent. Even if they approach you, even if they talk to you, stay quiet and still until they have passed.

And so it happened. The man, with his family and his belongings, set off at dawn. Suddenly, at the end of the morning, they distinguished the figures of an armed group that was approaching in a hurry. They turned away from the road and remained silent, tense.

The jumpers soon approached and the man heard one of them shout: “Here they are. I see people here. There is probably a good loot for us. "

Another replied laughing:? ”Friend, you probably slept badly last night, since you can't tell stones from humans. They are very close to us and you say they are not stones! ”

The first insisted: - "But if I even see a horse!" The other laughed: - "I do not believe that you have arrived on such a stony horse, do you think that a horse, which notices the presence of ours, would remain motionless?"

Everyone laughed willingly and, mocking the first, they passed very close to the motionless group. Then they disappeared in the mist. Thus, even in the most difficult situation, that man was saved. Because it had been useful to Shambhala simply once.

Shambhala knows everything. But Shambhala's secrets are well protected. »

-Lama, how are Shambhala's secrets protected? It is said that many Sambhala servers, many emissaries, are all over the world. How can they keep the secrets entrusted to them?

? «The great guardians of the mysteries closely observe all those to whom they entrusted their work and entrusted them with great missions. If they are presented with an unexpected evil, they receive help immediately. And the entrusted treasure will be protected. About forty years ago, a great secret was entrusted to a man who lived in the Mongolian Great Desert of Gobi. He was told that he could use this secret for a special purpose, but that, when he felt the time was coming to leave this world, he should find someone worthy to trust this treasure. Many years passed. Finally, this man fell ill, and during his illness a malignant force approached him, and he became unconscious. In this state, of course, he could not find anyone worthy of receiving the trust of his treasure. But the Great Guardians are always vigilant and alert. One of them from the upper Ashram hurried through the mighty Gobi. He spent more than sixty hours on the saddle without resting. He arrived before the sick man in time to revive him and, although it was for a short time, he allowed him to find someone to convey the message. You may wonder why the Guardian did not take the Treasure with him, and why the same succession must have taken place. Because the great Karma has its own procedures and even the greatest Mystery Guardians sometimes do not want to touch the threads of Karma. For each of its threads, if broken, produces as a result the greatest calamities. »

? Lama, in Turfan and in Turkestan, showed us caves with extensive unexplored galleries. Can we reach the Shambhala Ashrams through these routes? We were told that on some occasions, strange people would leave these caves and go to the cities. They wanted to pay with strange and old coins that are already out of use.

?"True true; Shambhala's inhabitants sometimes emerge to this world. They meet the earthly servers of Shambhala. For the sake of humanity, they send precious gifts, remarkable relics. I can tell you many stories of the wonderful gifts that were received through space. Even Rigden Gyeppo himself sometimes appears in the human body. Suddenly, he shows himself in sacred places, in monasteries, and at a predestined moment he pronounces his prophecies.

At night or in the early morning, before dawn, the Sovereign of the World arrives at the Temple. Enters. All lights come on alone at the same time. Some already recognize the Great Outsider. The lamas meet with great reverence. They listen to the prophecies of the future with the greatest attention.

A great time is approaching. The Sovereign of the World is ready to fight. Many things are manifesting. Cosmic fire is approaching the earth again. The planets are manifesting the new times. But there will be many cataclysms before the new era of prosperity. Again humanity will be put to the test, to see if the spirit has made enough progress. The underground fire now seeks to find contact with the fiery Akasha element; If all good forces do not combine their power, the greatest cataclysms are inevitable. It is reported how the saint Rigden Gyeppo manifests himself to give orders to his messengers; how on the black rock, on the way to Ladak, appears the powerful sovereign. And of all directions, the messenger riders approach with great reverence to listen to it, and at full speed they rush to fulfill what the great wisdom commands.

Lama, how is it that travelers have not yet discovered the earthly Shambhala? On the maps you can see many expedition routes. Apparently all the summits are already marked and all the valleys and rivers have been explored.

-It is true, there is a lot of gold on earth and many diamonds and rubies in the mountains and everyone is so eager to possess them! And so many people try to find them! But so far, these people have not found all things, so let a man try to reach Shambhala without being called! You have heard of the poisoned streams that surround the highlands. Perhaps you have even seen people die from these gases when they are approached. Perhaps you have seen how animals and people begin to shudder when they approach certain regions. Many try to reach Shambhala without being called. But only a few reach the sacred point, and only if their karma is ready.

Lama, you speak of a sacred place on earth. Is there a rich vegetation there? The mountains seem barren and the hurricanes and frosts that devastate everything seem, in general, severe.

? In the middle of the high mountains there are unsuspected valleys enclosed. Many warm springs nourish the rich vegetation. Many rare plants and medicinal herbs can bloom in this unusual volcanic terrain. Perhaps you have heard that just two days from Nagchu, where there is no tree or plant in sight, there is a valley with trees and grass and water c Warm. But who can know the labyrinths of these mountains? On stony surfaces it is possible to distinguish human footprints. You cannot understand people's thoughts, and those who can remain silent. Perhaps you have met numerous travelers during your pilgrimages, strangers dressed simply, who walk silently through the desert, be it hot or cold, towards their unknown goals. Do not believe that because the outfit is simple the outsider is insignificant. If your eyes are half closed, do not presume that your gaze is not sharp. It is impossible to discern from which direction the power approaches. All warnings are useless, all prophecies are useless, but only through the only way of Shambhala can the achievement be obtained. By directing yourself directly to the Holy Rigden Gyeppo you will succeed. »

? Lama, you said that Shambhala's enemies would perish. How will they perish?

? «It is true, they perish in due time. Their own heinous ambitions destroy them. Rigden Gyeppo is merciful. But sinners are aggressors of themselves. Who can say when the deserved prize is delivered? Who can discern when help is really needed? And what will be the nature of that help? Many catastrophes are necessary, and they have their purposes. Only when our limited human intelligence is convinced that everything is destroyed, that all hope perishes, then the creative hand of the Sovereign projects its powerful ray.

How are sinners annihilated? A painter lama had the high gift of painting sacred images with incomparable beauty. He superbly painted the images of Rigden Gyeppo, that of the Holy Buddha and Dukhar, the All-Seeing. But another painter felt jealous, and in his anger he decided to harm the righteous. And when he began to slander the painter lama, his house began to burn for some unknown cause. All his possessions were destroyed and the slanderer's lands were severely burned, so much that he was unable to work them for a long time.

Another slander threatened to destroy all the works of an honest man. And he drowned himself shortly, while crossing the Tsampo. Another man, who carried out magnificent works of charity, was attacked by someone who sought to destroy all possessions that had been dedicated to the cause of humanity. But again the powerful ray of Rigden Gyeppo reached the aggressor and in one day his wealth disappeared and he became a beggar. Perhaps you have ever seen him, begging in Lhasa's bazaar.

In each city you can hear how those unworthy creatures who directed their poison against the worthy were punished. Only through the path to Shambhala can you walk safely. Each deviation from this path of glory will entangle you in the greatest dangers. Everything on earth can be sought and distributed. The Blessed One does not order faith or a blind cult, but the knowledge of experience.

That's right, Lama. I can also tell you how one near us became a brother of Shambhala. We know how he arrived in India on a scientific mission, how he suddenly lost himself from the caravan and how, much later, an unexpected message revealed the news that he was in Shambhala.

I can also tell you how, from the distant Altai, many Ancient Believers went to look for the so-called 'Belavodye ”(white waters) and never returned. I have heard the names of the mountains, rivers and lakes that exist on the road to the sacred places. They are secrets; some of the names are altered, but their fundamental truth can be discerned.

I can tell you how a worthy student of this high teaching set out to reach Shambhala before the time he had been ordered. He was a pure and sincere spirit, but his karma had not been exhausted and his earthly labor was not yet complete. It was soon for him and one of the great Masters found him riding a horse in the mountains and personally spoke to this traveling traveler. Mercifully and compassionately sent him back to complete his unfinished tasks. I can talk to you about Ashrams beyond Shigatse. I can tell you how the Brothers of Shambhala appeared in various cities and how they prevented the greatest human calamities, when humanity understood them accordingly ... Lama, have you known Azaras and Kuthumpas?

? «If you have knowledge of so many incidents, you must succeed in your work. Knowing so much about Shambhala is itself a stream of purification. Many of our people during their lives have found Azaras and Kuthumpas and the snowmen who serve them. Only recently have the Azaras stopped seeing each other in the cities. They have all gathered in the mountains. Very tall, with long hair and a beard, they seem Hindu to the naked eye. Once, when I was walking along the Brahmaputra, I saw an Azara. I tried to reach it, but it quickly turned beyond the rocks and disappeared. However, I didn't find any cave or cavern there, all I saw was a little Stupa. He probably didn't want to be disturbed.

They don't see Kuthumpas anymore. Before they appeared openly in the Tsang region and on Lake Manasarowar, when the pilgrims went to the sacred Kailash. Even the snowmen see each other very rarely. The ordinary person, in their ignorance, confuses them with apparitions. There are deep reasons why, precisely now, the Greats do not appear as before. My old teacher told me much of the wisdom of the Azaras. We know several places where these Grandes lived, but at the moment these places are deserted. What a great reason, what a great secret!

? Lama, then is it true that the Ashrams have been moved from nearby Shigatse?

? «This mystery should not be pronounced. I already said that the Azaras are no longer in Tsang. ”

? Lama, why do your priests say that Shambhala is far beyond the ocean, when the earthly Shambhala is much closer? Csoma de Koros even justifiably mentions the site: the wonderful valley in the mountain, where Buddha's initiation took place.

? «I heard that Csoma de Koros reaped misfortunes in life. And Grunwedel, whom you mentioned, went crazy; because they both touched the great name of Shambhala out of curiosity, without realizing its prodigious importance. It is dangerous to play with fire, and yet fire can be one of the most useful things for humanity. You have probably heard how certain travelers tried to penetrate the forbidden territory and how the guides refused to follow them, saying: "You better kill us." Even these simple people understood that such high matters could only be touched with the greatest respect.

Don't outrage the laws! Wait in ardent labor until the messenger of Shambhala arrives to you, deservedly. Wait until the one with powerful Voice says: "Kalagiya". Then, you can proceed without care and interpret this majestic matter. Vain curiosity can be transformed into sincere learning, in an application of the high principles of everyday life. »

Lama, you are a bum. Where will I find you again?

? «I beg you not to ask my name. Moreover, if you find me in any city or other inhabited place, do not recognize me. I will approach you. »

And if I approached you, would you simply leave or hypnotize in some way?

? «Do not force me to use these natural forces. Among some Red Sects, it is allowed to apply certain powers. But we can only use them in exceptional cases. We must not break the laws of nature. The essential Teaching of our Saint asks us to be careful in revealing our inner possibilities. »

Lama, tell me more, tell me if you've seen Rigden Gyeppo in person.

? No, I have not yet seen the Sovereign in flesh and blood. But I have heard His Voice. And during the winter, when the snow covered the mountains, a rose, a flower of the distant valley, was His gift to me. You ask me so much, that I can see that you have knowledge about many things. What would you do if I started examining you?

? I would be silent, Lama.

The Lama smiled.

? «Then, you know a lot. Perhaps you even know how to use the forces of nature and how in the West, during these last years, many signs were witnessed, especially during the war that you, or one of you, began. »

Lama, with certainty this unprecedented slaughter of human beings must have precipitated an unexpected flow of reincarnations. So many people died before the predestined time and through such incidents, both distorted and upset ...

? «You probably didn't know the prophecies for which these calamities were long predicted. If you had met them, you could never have started this horrible holocaust.

If you know anything about Shambhala, if you know how to use your hidden natural forces, you also know about Namig, the Heavenly Letters. And you will know how to accept the prophecies of the future. »

? Lama, we have heard that all the journeys of the Tashi Lama and the Dalai Lama were predicted in the prophecies long before they occurred.

? I repeat that in the private rooms of the Tashi Lama, by his order, all the events of his future trips were painted. Often, unknown outsiders utter these prophecies, and you can see obvious signs of events near us.

Know that near the entrance of the great temple of Geser Khan there are two horses, one white and one red. And when Geser Khan approaches, those horses relin chan. Did you hear that this happened recently, and many people heard the whinny of the sacred horses?

? Lama, did you mention the third big name in Asia?

? Mystery, mystery, you shouldn't talk too much. At some point we will speak to a great sage: Geshe de Moruling. This monastery was founded by our Dalai Lama the Great, and the sound of the great Name is part of the name of the monastery. It is said that before leaving Lhasa forever, the great Dalai Lama had a mysterious communion in this monastery. True, several lamas disappeared from this monastery to perform great new tasks.

There you could find something familiar to you.

Lama, can you tell me something about the three largest monasteries near Lhasa: Sera, Ganden and Depung?

The Lama smiled.

? Oh, they are great official monasteries. In Sera, you can find many true fighters among the three thousand lamas. Many lamas of foreign countries, such as Mongolia, are in Ganden. There is the throne of our great Master, Tsong? Khapa. No one can touch this great seat without shaking. Depung also has some wise lamas.

Lama, are there any galleries hidden under the Potala? And is there an underground lake under the main temple?

The Lama smiled again.

No s cu ndo has estado all .

Kalagiya, Kalagiya, Kalagiya. ¡Venid a Shambhala!»
