The fruit of silence is prayer. The fruit of prayer is the f . The fruit of faith is love. The fruit of love is service. The fruit of service is peace.

Teresa of Calcutta

Throughout history, there are many cultures that have believed in the sacred power of words, going through the symbols of Reiki and the Prayer of Christians.

Also, within Buddhist philosophy, one of the most recurring objects of meditation is the mantras, and among them, the well-known Om Mani Padme Hum . The Sanskrit word ' Mantra ' refers to spiritual sounds, which do not necessarily have a literal meaning. This word is composed of the ' man ' cell which means "mind" and the suffix -tra "instrument." It could then be translated as ' mental instrument '. They are invoked aloud or internally as the object of our meditation, and it is said that the use of mantras is even prior to the rise of Buddhism.

We can find different mantras within this philosophy, each with its specific use, but perhaps none as well known as the Om Mani Padme Hum.

The jewel of the lotus

This mantra is related to the deity Chenrezig, compassion. The words Om mani padme hum belong to the Sanskrit language. ' Mani Padme ' is translated as ' the jewel of the lotus ', while the first and last syllable of the mantra has no literal meaning.

Om Mani Padme Hum is considered by Tibetan monks as one of the mantras that preserve the complete essence of Buddhism . This is so because in him we can find contained all the teachings of the Buddha . It is also for this that he is known practically throughout the world.

But Om Mani Padme Hum can also be broken down into six symbols, each of which also has a specific spiritual meaning and purification function, since they are in connection with each of the Six Realms of Existence .

The teacher Tsangsar Tulku Rinpoche expands in the Chenrezig Sadhana on the meaning of this mantra. And it teaches us the following.
