Deep in what you think: You become what you look at!

"You are gods": Jesus of Nazareth asserts. In this lies our true "image and likeness" with the Mind of One: our thoughts, like those of the Father, constitute the raw material of reality. We read in “A Course in Miracles”: “There are no neutral thoughts (…) There are no futile thoughts. All thought generates form on some level. ”

The thoughts of the Father populate and erect infinite levels of reality: they create cosmos, galaxies; His divine psyche is perpetual midwife of beings, orbs, stars; His intelligence endows all visible and invisible things with physical or spiritual laws that make them grow, evolve.

The human mind emulates him with momentum - although with disparate results: his ideas generate technologies that at first astonish ... and that soon become benign or harmful! It gives its machines a prodigious intelligence to which with disdain nickname "artificial"; It is capable of cloning those same species to which, with inexplicable vices, it is sometimes pleased to extinguish.

In everyday life, our minds are capable of displaying immense creative power - the Father's natural heritage: at the top of the mastery, our thoughts produce great blessings. However, in the chasm of our neuroses (when we believe ourselves separated from the power and gifts of the Creator), the ravings of the ego plunge us into deep depths of defeat.

We are "gods", that is, "creators"; however, there is a clear difference between our development and that of God: in the case of the Father's Mind, the display of power is always positive, omnipotent; in the case of the human mind, the results vary - sometimes effective; Sometimes self destructive.

What makes the difference between one reality and another? Well, the emotional quality of the thoughts that generate that particular reality. And only two basic emotions underlie each thought: fear or love.

In the case of the Supreme Being, every thought is infinitely loving - and therefore, infinitely creative; In the human case, fears tend to spread - and those hesitancies put our creativity on the back. The Talmud warns us: "We do not see things as they are, but as we are." And Buddha adds: "We are what we think."

If we are love - that is: if our thoughts are usually loving - we will generate a reality related to that powerful mental and emotional state; swollen with fear, we expect an existence full of mishaps, frustrations ...

The mind never stops ... and your thoughts are always creative!

We read in "A Course in Miracles": "There are very few who appreciate the true power of the mind and nobody remains fully aware of it all the time. However, if you expect to get rid of fear there are some things you should understand. The mind is very powerful and never loses its creative force. Never sleeps. It is creating continuously. It is difficult to recognize the surge of power that results from the combination of thought and belief, which can literally move mountains. ”

It goes on like this: “At first glance, it seems arrogant to believe that you possess such power, but that is not the real reason that you do not believe it. You prefer to believe that your thoughts cannot exert any real influence because in fact you are afraid of them. That can mitigate the guilty conscience, but at the cost of perceiving the mind as impotent. If you think that what you think has no effect, you may stop being afraid of your thoughts, but it is unlikely that you will respect them. ”

We never stop thinking, that is, we never stop generating reality - although we believe that our thoughts are harmless and have no effect.

We never stop being creative - even though we feel helpless or fearful about our own power.

Thoughts of love or fear are the bricks with which we build our reality. And in each moment of the Now - that eternal present moment in which our lives take place - we are choosing in which of them to deposit our faith.

An irrefutable law: we abound in what we look and think

The distinguished Venezuelan spiritual teacher Conny Méndez asserts that “you are deep in what you think”. In the words of DL Moody, if we do not abound in love but in vain fears "we are living below our privileges." It is written that "God is Love": will we live outside of such blessed certainty, such a vast privilege?

Knowing that two basic emotions - fear or love - affect our perception of reality, it is easy to infer that we become what we look at . The American researcher Candance Pert points out in this regard: “our eyes move all the time (…) why do they focus on certain things and begin to let them into our minds and do not do it with others? It's quite simple: we see what we want to believe in. Our emotions decide what to perceive, what is worth paying attention to. And so, we create the world we perceive, we perceive the world we create. ”

When we open our eyes we do not see an "objective world" or the "real world": what we usually see is the world that our limited physical senses and our neurotic belief systems make us perceive. In every moment of the present time, you only make two choices: either you dedicate yourself to observe the fearful world of the ego - where a mad feeling of separation makes you feel superior or inferior to the other creations of the One; or you dedicate yourself to delight in the loving glory of the Father - where an endearing sense of unity and equality with the rest of the beings of the Universe will pacify your heart.

Yes: it is clear that we are becoming similar to what we look at. The observer affects the observed - and vice versa. The contemplated love transforms us into a perfect reflection of love: in turn, that reflection that we are expands the reality of love on the face of the Earth ... and even if we find it hard to believe it, it lets us feel its effects even in the last corner of the Universe!

Only the constant contemplation of Love (the Higher Self) allows us to transcend the limited reality that we usually project. Love - the divine nature that bursts within us - makes it easier for us to assimilate that which is Essential but intangible to the eye, experience that invisible threshold of reality alien to the eye of the ego ... and make visible the sweetest blessings that the Creator has dispensed. for us!

"Pray without ceasing": the perpetual contemplation of Love

"Pray without ceasing, " Saint Paul recommended two millennia ago: we could translate it as "think incessantly of Love" or "contemplate incessantly Love." Jesus of Nazareth preached: "Love your enemies", it is evident that the One Who is All Love lacks opposites; Another sentence of Christ, "love your neighbor as yourself, " invites us to become a perfect image and likeness of Love, beacons that project omnipotent reflections of tenderness and prosperity on our fellow men.

Pray always with this certainty: the Love that can do everything, that transforms everything, is an infinitely intelligent force, infinitely creative, that responds to each of our thoughts. Osho, the famous Hindu guru, asserts: “Creativity means bringing something new into existence, making a place for the unknown to penetrate into the known, making a way for Heaven to descend to Earth. When there is a Beethoven or a Michelangelo, Heaven opens, the flowers begin to fall from the Hereafter ”… and that spiritual channel transcends all physical barriers or obstacles, all human beliefs.

In that sense, the American spiritual teacher Mary Baker Eddy states: `` Men consider themselves merely physical and know nothing of man as the image and reflection of God. '' Such a notion will prevent us from rejecting the doubts and human fears that accompanied such belief and thus we will not be able to understand the wonders performed by infinite and incorporeal Love, for whom all things are possible .

Praying incessantly means pearling every thought of ours with the imperishable dew of Love. Liturgical prayers have their place. However, and in the words of the Chinese thinker TS Nee, more than having daily minutes or hours of prayer, we must work to develop a life of prayer and communion with God. That is to say, spiritualize every idea that dared in our mind to establish a reality in full agreement with the Love of that universal Father-Mother who is completely abundant, completely harmonious.

Many times, instead of meditating or praying on the prosperous nature of Love, we punish ourselves with endless mental monologues in which - without mercy - we devastate the little that is left of our self-esteem, making mistakes images of ourselves.

When we contemplate the deserted pantries of the ego, we do not find adequate food to feed our souls. So we just stumble upon ancient containers and empty cans, whose sinister labels announce the many synonyms of fear: desesperanza, terror, duda, dementia, remorse, celos, iodo, culpa, among others.

Dear reader or reader, let this certainty be yours: from the ego you will only get minutiae; on the other hand, the One will always hold the Infinite, the Incalculable

Always remember: is you are gods

Prayer as a constant and affectionate flow of consciousness, as a persistent contemplation of the Higher Self, tames the angry mind, returning the meekness of Love itself.

Therefore, dear reader or reader, I urge you to take great care of the contents that germinate in your psyche: because at every moment, your reality awakens in the image and likeness of what you think and look.

Yes, beloved or beloved witness of these lines: what are you choosing to contemplate at this moment? At what level of reality are you deciding to abound, to co-create? Because - please - always remember: You are gods .
