Until the age of seven, children are very connected to their mother's emotions and moods, as if they were still connected to her by an invisible umbilical cord.
Not surprisingly, the mother has gestated in her interior for nine months while a relationship has been established between them both broader than mere biological reality.
And it is that between mother and child information flows at very subtle levels of perception. This relationship is established in a psychic plane beyond the phenomenal world and, even stronger if possible when there is no father figure, it is broken when the child reaches seven years. The son is more aware of this than the mother herself.
This reality is based on the collective unconscious. Therefore, many cultures practice a rite of initiation at that age. Without going any further, that used to be, until not long ago, the time to take First Communion. Thus, the Spartans separated the children from their mothers when they turned seven to train them in the service to the State.
It is worth taking advantage of that original link to convey to the boy or girl much joy, serenity and inner peace. Hence the importance of the mother being as balanced and conscious as possible.
If not, do not forget that a child comes to the world mainly to teach something to their parents, to help them in their inner evolution, to point out aspects of their lives that they ignored. Few parents take this into account. And they should.
