How Can a Concerted and Attentive Use of the Great Invocation Affect Planetary Consciousness?
The Great Invocation is a group invocation and prayer and belongs to all mankind. The time for the next phase in evolution has arrived. A great step from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius is happening. The world had been given spiritual affirmations in the past as the "Song of the Lord" by Shri Krishna in the "Bhagavad Gita", before the coming of Christ in Roman times. In that song He says: "Whenever there is a weakening of the Law and a growth of illegality everywhere, then I manifest." There is evidence that great world prayers and spiritual affirmations have a relationship with world events.
The "Our Father" served the Age of Pisces in the last 2000 years, and the purpose of the Great Invocation is to serve humanity during the Age of Aquarius in the next 2000 years, raising human consciousness from the emotional center to the heart center . It is a call to nature, love and the highest thinking of people. The Great Invocation relates the Will of Shamballa (I will explain the term in a moment), the Love of the Hierarchy, and the Service of Humanity, in a great triangle of energies. Shamballa is the center where the Lord of the World / God resides, and the Spiritual Hierarchy are the Masters of Wisdom who have transcended from the human kingdom to the spiritual realm, helping to show us the Way. This triangle of energies, (the Will of Shamballa, the Love of the Hierarchy, and the Service of Humanity) will have two important results: “seal the door where evil is found”, and the establishment in the land of the Plan of Love and of light. The Great Invocation releases the spiritual influx of the macrocosm to the microcosm where the summoning cry of humanity is now being heard, is an evolutionary crisis, which, as we know, the crisis creates opportunities. That opportunity is to become instruments of service to seal, frustrate, and render useless "evil" (materialism, selfishness, greed, separatism and hate) by the center "we call the race of men", since it is through humanity itself that evil will be destroyed.
The Great Invocation appeared in June 1945 at the time of the full moon. Alice Bailey had already been working in collaboration with Djwhal Khul, a Tibetan Master of Wisdom, since 1919, and this was the culmination of her sustained effort. Foster Bailey in "Execution of God's Plan, " spoke of how it was one of the most momentous achievements of all his work, and that Alice Bailey arrived at that exhausted and euphoric meeting. What we do know is that within the original version each word was taken into account with rhythmic, numerological and astrological considerations, and when thousands of people and groups sing it together, there is a vibration that elevates our consciousness and energizes the world with the Love the divine will of the Master.
Why does invocation refer to "men"? A brief explanation is that "man" comes from the Sanskrit word manas, which means "human being, " whose root means "to think." However, we do not say "in the minds of thinkers", apparently because of the energies and vibration of words. And we use "mind", since it is through the mind that Love manifests itself.
We know that the doctrines of all religions of the world speak of the coming of Avatars, Masters and saviors of the world. What do they come to teach? That there is a plan to advance the evolution of humanity through just human relationships. Two Avatars, whose missions have been much studied, are the Buddha, the messenger of the light of the East, and the Christ, the messenger of the love of the West, known as the Instructor of the World, and the Chief (or Manager if one wishes) of the Masters of Enlightenment (the Hierarchy). The teachings of Eternal Wisdom give us a unique opportunity to understand the purpose of your work.
As The Great Invocation speaks of the reappearance of Christ, we must understand that Christ is known as the World Instructor who represents all religions, not just the Christian, and is known by many names, such as Lord Maitreya, Bodhisattva, Iman Mahdi and the Messiah.
The Christ expressed his intention to reappear on Earth in visible presence. One way to prepare humanity for this event is to give the world the Great Invocation to help us expand the quality of loving understanding that is expressed when love and intelligence come together. The conscience of Christ is one of balance and an expression of good will. We are told that the Master uses this great invocation and that not a day goes by without Christ Himself pronouncing it.
The trend towards the search for truth and the spirit of relationships is materializing everywhere with the growth of the principle of sharing. It is a positive sign when the sensitivity of men and women of good will are much greater than most leaders. Therefore, the Great Invocation can also be considered as a prayer for the Illumination of all the leaders who deal with world affairs, and in this way the United Nations can fulfill its destiny uniting these leaders for the common good. That is why, when we sing The Great Invocation, our purity of intention and love are so essential.
The Great Invocation, when it is said with the power of the soul, as well as with the directed attention of the mind, is an extraordinarily effective tool. So, let's move forward daily with humility, love, understanding and joy, exerting a powerful effect on planetary consciousness, illuminating our traveling companions with love and strength to reestablish the Plan in Earth.

How can World Invocation Day affect Planetary Consciousness?

I would like to start my talk by inviting you to participate with your creative imagination.
It may be useful to remember that esoteric wisdom refers to the creative imagination as the distinctive human faculty, which is actually the seed of intuition, and even the precursor, ultimately, of that enlightened state of bliss that is known in the East Like samadhi
Thus, within that context, if for the next few minutes they close their eyes and imagine the 6, 800 million people on our planet as a single vital planetary center, a dynamic, interconnected and interrelated organism - a multicolored and geometrically diverse mandala.
Keeping this image in the eye of the mind, and reaching the depths of the highest recesses of themselves, allow your imagination to reign free and consider the following two questions:
1. According to the highest possibilities you can imagine now, what is your vision of the spiritual work of the United Nations and its impact on humanity and the planet?

2. What can you, as an individual, contribute in a unique way to help achieve your vision?

When they are ready, they return the consciousness back to the room and open their eyes.

The vision that I hope will continue to evolve and develop is its connection with the intention of its soul. This vision is what you have in custody for the rest of humanity and all life on the planet.
It is a part of the promise of how the new Age of Aquarius and the Satya Yuga or Golden Age will come to which we are entering now, that is, if each of us assumes responsibility for the vision and works on the day a day of everyday life to make it a reality.
Remember this vision when you return to it.
You may ask yourself, how does this exercise relate to World Invocation Day and its impact on Planetary Consciousness?
A description of World Invocation Day, I think, will give the answer.
Also known by names such as the Festival of Humanity, the Festival of Christ and the Festival of Good Will since 1952, the World Day of Invocation has been celebrated as a world day of spiritual healing.
It occurs when the sun is in Gemini and is an opportunity to recognize all the earth prepared in conscious and unconscious invocation.
It is a day when people, in small and large groups - from Australia and New Zealand to Africa and Europe, from North and South America to all parts of Asia, meet, just like us in meditation and shared reflection to contemplate the Spiritual nature and the divine relationship of humanity with cosmic and planetary sources of energy.
Esoteric wisdom tells us that we live in a solar system of the second ray of love-wisdom and that this energy reaches our solar system through the sign of Gemini, which with the constellations of the Great Bear and the Pleiades, forms a cosmic Triangle, which effects the healing of nations.
Gemini, we are told, esoterically controls the heart of our solar system and, therefore, controls the pulsation of life that sustains all that is. And, here we have our great opportunity today to provide planetary service.
The third of the three Major Spiritual Festivals, after the Wesak Festival or Buddha Festival, World Invocation Day is a highlight, providing a crescendo of revelation, which can lead to changes in planetary transformation.
This festival celebrates the spirit of humanity, which aspires to God or the higher conscience. It draws attention to the fact of a Higher Will and the Cosmic Plan, recognizing that humanity is not living a random and unknown course, and that humanity can be in communication, in contact with the higher realms of consciousness that exist on our planet and in the cosmos.
It focuses on the unique function of humanity as a bridge builder and its task, ultimately, to become aware of the free relationship between all centers and states of being, relating “what is above and what is below, ”Or what is internal (esoteric) to what is external (exoteric), a form of inspiration and exhalation, of receiving and giving.
In this way, humanity becomes part of the divine circulatory flow, receiving the high invoked energies and distributing them to all mankind, as well as to the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms, thus helping in the work of making our planet a sacred planet. .
Once the purpose of this day is fully recognized, its legacy will be the understanding of how humanity, as a whole, can scientifically participate in the invocation and evocation process, a process that encompasses both the expressed and unexpressed plea, and the inherent need for the light that is innate in the forms, producing interaction and relationship and drives us to penetrate even more into the Light.
This process applies so much to the flower that makes its way into the darkness of the earth towards the sunlight, and to the disciple who intentionally strives to penetrate the highest (deepest) dimensions of consciousness.
Thus, in the future, "life in the three worlds" of the states of physical, emotional and mental consciousness will be replaced by the reality of "life in the five worlds, " including awareness of the dimensions of Buddha consciousness and Atmic, which today are available only for a few.
Here it might be useful to mention the esoteric keynote for the Gemini sign: "I recognize my other self and in the decline of that self, I grow and shine."
As a dual sign, Gemini helps us distinguish between the twins Castor and Pollux, which represent the dual nature of humanity. A twin represents the mortal half, the personality, and the other immortal half, is the soul or the spiritual self.
This part links each of us to the Great Chain of the Hierarchy, composed of those Beings that watch over the evolution of humanity and create a new current of Light, Love and Will to Good, which has existed on our planet since the dawn of humanity and that becomes increasingly electrified, every time an individual assumes his job to rescue and heal the world.
From the Emerald Tables of Thot, the Kybalion of Hermes Trismegisto, the Agni-Puranas, the Upanishads and other ancient sacred texts, to contemporary esoteric wisdom, the Spiritual Masters of Humanity have long held the promise of a higher form of life if humanity can recognize and apply eternal spiritual principles and precepts.
Over and over, throughout history, Enlightened Spiritual Masters have emerged manifesting as much cosmic wisdom as the humanity of the time could understand. As seeds planted, these spiritual masters left their ideas in the hearts and minds of humanity, to germinate and bear fruit, always leading us forward, from death to Immortality, from darkness to Light and from the unreal to the Real . (Sequence of the Externalization of the Hierarchy)
Increasingly, people are familiar with the radiant bridge of the rainbow of light, which is the focus of the World Day of Invocation, when humanity is encouraged to approach, with the greatest aspiration, this great chain of Beings that work, as indicated by the Bodhisattva Promise [1], until the last tired pilgrim has found his way to the serene Light.
Refer to World Invocation Day as the Festival of Christ draws attention to the universal Christ Principle at the heart of all life and to the living Christ, the throbbing center within the Circle, He who is known and expected to return to outside activity, mentioned in world religions with names like Maitreya, Bodhisattva, Messiah, Imam Mahdi, and so on.
On this same day, while we meet here today, and others also gather around the world, is That World Instructor now blessing the world and delivering the last sermon of the Buddha and The Great Invocation, thus linking the total illumination of the past to the current cycle, which focus on the distribution of the energies of Love and the Will to Good.
The Receptacle, the Individual
This brings us back to the vision for humanity and the planet they imagined a few minutes ago.
One of the key notes of the New Age is the value of the individual and the reality of Humanity One ... the value of the individual and the reality of Humanity One.
All spiritual training must be self-applied. There is no spoken or written word that can convey the inner spiritual sense. Written and spoken words can awaken the hidden fire of divinity in the human soul, lighting the flame that burns the scum of imperfection, limitation and unworthy desire, cleaning the lens of perception; however, each individual must assume the task on their own initiative.
The greatest of the Spiritual Masters could stand before us, and yet, if we had not done the necessary work of redemption and personal transformation, we would not recognize this Master.
That is why it is said that if the "thief is a Saint on the road, the only thing he recognizes are the pockets." Recognition, forged in the transfigurative fires of dispassion, detachment and discrimination is the most important key.
Necessary is the recognition of the Soul, of the great hierarchical chain of Beings and the recognition of the Plan of Love and Light and the role that we must fulfill within that Plan.
In that sense, and with this blessing I would like to finish: That each of us recognizes his unique role in the spiritual rebirth that is now needed on our planet, and once recognized, that each of us fulfills his part with seriousness, love and dedication, remembering the wisdom of Agni Yoga: Without the link with the upper world there is no progress, nor is there true joy.
