The character of the theatrical functions and the allegorical dramas that were represented was more or less constant, both in Egypt and in Greece, the idea was always the same: the death of God and his resurrection.

The mysteries represented the journey of the worlds or the journey of the soul, the appearance of the soul in matter, its death and its resurrection, that is, its return to the previous life.
