A hymn to the planet
HOME is an ode to the beauty of the planet and its delicate harmony. Through the landscapes of 54 countries captured from the air, Yann Arthus-Bertrand takes us on a unique trip around the planet, to contemplate and understand it. But HOME is more than a documentary with a message, it is really a magnificent film.
Its spectacular plans show us the Earth - our Earth - as we have never seen it before. Each image shows us the treasures of the Earth that we are destroying and all the wonders that we can still preserve. "A bird's eye view requires fewer explanations." Our vision becomes more immediate, intuitive and emotional. HOME does not leave any of those who see it impassive, awakening in all of us the consciousness necessary to change the way we see the world. Synopsis
In the 200, 000 years that men have been on Earth we have broken the balance that had been established on the planet for almost four billion years of evolution. The price we must pay is high, but it is too late to be pessimistic: humanity has only ten years to reverse the trend, realize the degree of splinter of the Earth's wealth and change its consumption model.
HOME PROJECT
We are living a crucial period. Scientists say that we only have 10 years to change our way of life, prevent natural resources from depleting and prevent a catastrophic evolution of the Earth's climate.
We play our future and that of the following generations, so each of us must participate in this collective effort. HOME has been created to deliver this message of mobilization to all the inhabitants of our planet.
