During the emergence of the first civilizing powers of the old continent, the adoption of an animal species, as a distinctive emblematic symbol, was quite common. The Egyptian, being the most powerful civilization of that time, decided to adopt, as an emblematic symbol of its civilizing and military power, the most fearsome beast of the African continent, "the lion." The Minoans of the Mediterranean islands of Crete and Thera, adopted the Bull, as their emblematic beast, while the cultures that flourished east of the Mediterranean Sea saw in the Eagle, the distinctive emblem of their power in their strategic territorial domain. We only lacked a civilization (I think it was the Greek) that appropriated the human being or angel to represent its power, thus forming the four faces of the sphinx.
From the dawn of the Egyptian civilization, the sphinxes symbolized the power and strength of the pharaoh, qualities associated with the figure of the lion. They are also related to the idea of life after death, so their presence is common in funerary contexts and near the great temples. Horus with his four children, became Christ in the center with the four evangelists, or their symbols, in the cardinal points. But there is a big difference between the fixed and cardinal crosses.
The cross of the sphinx is fixed in the heavens and is guarded by the angel. Until the Bull tears and tears the man; then the light shines; until the Serpent struggles with man and brings him to his knees, then he rises to the Light; until the Lion is tamed and the secret of the Sphinx revealed, then the inner Light is revealed; until man raises his water bowl and joins the ranks of the Water Bearers, then the flow of the stream of life will fill his centaro and deplete the stagnant puddle, purifying its source; thus it reveals the hidden path that leads to the new Light, hidden by the last cross, the cardinal: that of the receptacle of love. To the East Libra-justice, to the west Aries-fortress, to the north Capricorn-prudence, to the south C ncer-temperance, thus shaping the four cardinal virtues.
OBJECTIVES
1. Establish relationships between the heart center and the white ray.
2. Establish differences between the heart and the heart center, desire and love.
3. Define immortality in terms of sacrifice and service.
STEP FOUR
Without fear we made a thorough moral inventory of ourselves
We will make such an inventory by relating the heart center with the white ray.
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY: found and lost
Duncan MacLeod, the Immortal, runs through the crumbling city, remembering the happy times he lived with his beloved. Desperate and alone, MacLeod meets his former band, including his mysterious friend Methos, and a mortal, Vigilante Joe Dawson. Reunited this small group, together they decide to find the origin of the first Immortal and the source of their immortality.
The Elder meets them all as a group and tells how, in ancient history, another group of Immortals sought the Source. By killing the Guardian, two of the three survivors were cursed with the decline, one of them became the new Guardian. Duncan enters the Source, qualified to do it for his pure heart.
Highlander: The origin is a 2007 American film, directed by Brett Leonard. Starring Adrian Paul.
Jack, John and James are three of the 70 survivors, among the 324 people aboard Oceanic Flight 815, who, being lost on an island, begin to try to form a community of people with their relationships (similar to the movie The Lord of the Flies). The surnames Locke, Rousseau and Hume lead us to think of the empiricist philosophers that would give rise to the modern conceptions of identity.
Lost is an American television series that was originally broadcast by ABC between 2004 and 2010, to complete a total of six seasons. The series tells the experiences of a group of people on an island after surviving a plane crash. Usually, each episode tells a main story that takes place on the island, interspersed with several segments of a secondary story. These segments can be flashback - predominant in the first three seasons -, flashforward -from the end of the third season-, 4 or «flash-sideways», in the final season. In the series you can appreciate the concept of dysfunctional family, especially in the episodes that revolve around the parents of almost all the main characters.
- After watching the Highlander movie and the Lost series answer the following questions: why is it said that the family is the cell of society? How family virtues give way to social values? What would be the role of each of the members of a family of three sons and three daughters?
ACTIVITY ONE: The scam.
The thymus is a primary and specialized lymphoid glandular organ belonging to the immune system. The organ enlarges during childhood and atrophies at puberty. Unlike the liver, kidney and heart, the thymus is the largest organ in children. The thymus reaches a maximum weight (from 20 to 37 grams) at the time of puberty. Within the thymus gland lymphocytes mature. The thymocyte is the immature cell which, during the maturation process in the thymus, differs in helper T lymphocyte (CD4 +) or in cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CD8 +). The lymphocytes thus developed subsequently circulate through the blood and lymphatic system until they are activated by contacting a specific antigen, which interacts with the T-cell receptor on its surface. T cells are essential for the adaptive immune system, whereby the body adapts specifically to external invaders.
The thymus was known to the ancient Greeks, and its name comes from the word that means heart, soul, desire, life — possibly because of its location in the chest, near where emotions are subjectively felt; or alternatively its name comes from thyme, possibly because of its resemblance to a bunch of this herb.
The excessive activity of this gland makes a person amoral and irresponsible. The word scammer has its origin in thymus qualifying that person who deceives another through promises and hopes, but thymus also means honor and gave rise to the word timocracy as a type of government. Plato is the author of the oldest text in which the word timocracy is applied to the government based on honor. In his work The Republic describes the different degrees of corruption that the State is suffering, the first being the timocracy. Actually, what the thymocytes do is trick the central nervous system so that the immune system reacts.
THE HORMONE
Thymosin is the name of a group of actin-binding proteins that also intervene in the development of immune system cells. Β-Thymosins are regulators of actin G, that is, non-polymerized actin, and are required to maintain an adequate pool of actin monomers in the cytoplasm.
Thymosin was discovered in the 40s by Allan Goldstein as a natural substance produced by the thymus gland, acting in the aging of the immune system and the production of the so-called T cells. In 1972 it was identified as "alpha thymus 1" (composed of 28 amino acids) and in 1981 the "thymosin beta 4" (composed of 43 amino acids). Also, it was considered that thymosin was produced not only in the thymus gland, but in many other body cells.
- Prepare an essay on the importance of blood for immunity.
ACTIVITY TWO: The Heart Center.
The heart center corresponds to the "heart of the Sun" and therefore to the spiritual source of light and love. The heart center of the heart works actively after the second initiation, when the heart activates its channel which marks the consummation of the process by which the emotional nature (with its outstanding quality of desire) is placed under the control of the soul, and the Personality desire has been transmuted into love. The heart is the organ for the distribution of hierarchical energy, which flows through the soul to the heart center of all aspirants, disciples and apprentices; in this way this energy is available and brings two results: first, the regeneration of humanity through love. Second, the firmly established relationship between rapidly evolving humanity and the Hierarchy. In this way two great planetary centers, the Hierarchy and Humanity, are put in intimate contact and relationship.
As the Bible says: “ God's love spills everywhere in the human heart, and its transforming, magnetic and radiative power is essential for the reconstruction of the world and the establishment of the new world order. At present, disciples are asked to think and reflect on the development of the heart center and the intelligent relationship between humanity and the Hierarchy, with the consequent human response to energy. Love, because as man thinks in his heart, so is he. You can only think with the heart when the mental faculties have developed properly and have reached a fairly high stage of development. Feel with the heart, it is often confused with thinking.
The ability to think with the heart is the result of the process of transmuting desire in love, during the task of raising the forces of the solar plexus to the heart center. Thinking with the heart also indicates that the superior aspect of the heart center, the twelve-petal flower located in the center of the thousand-petal flower, has reached a point of real activity Reflection, as a result of the right feeling, replaces personal sensitivity. It gives us the first and faint indications of that state of being characteristic of the monad, which cannot be called conscience, as we understand the term.
THE INDICATORS
The heart center records the energy of love. Here it could be established that, when the bridge has finally been built, the three aspects of the spiritual Triad will each find a point of contact in the learner's energy system that It acts on the physical plane. The apprentice becomes a fusion of the soul and the personality, through which the full life of the spirit can flow: the minty.
1. The coronary center becomes a point of touch for spiritual will, intention.
2. The heart center becomes an agent of spiritual love, intuition.
3. The largenesis center is the expression of the universal, intellect mind.
- Create a flowchart that shows the process of change in the named centers.
ACTIVITY THREE: the white ray.
This ray is called "the ray of struggle" because in it the qualities of activity and inertia are strangely balanced, so that the fight between the two breaks the nature of the fourth-ray man ; when the result is satisfactory, it is called the "Birth of Horus" or the Christ, caused by the agony of pain and constant suffering.
Inertia produces attachment to comforts and pleasures, detests causing pain and reaches moral cowardice, indolence, and leaving things as they are, to rest and not think about tomorrow. The activity is fiery, impatient and always encourages action. These opposing forces of nature turn the life of the fourth ray man into a perpetual struggle and unease; the frictions and experiences thus acquired bring rapid evolution, but man can easily become a hero or a nullity.
He is the ray of the brave cavalry captain, indifferent to his own risks and those of his followers. The man who belongs to this ray will cause the lost hope to be reborn, because in moments of great excitement he is totally dominated by cracks or activity; It is the ray of risky speculator and tahur, full of enthusiasm and projects, easily overwhelmed by failure or pain, but recovering quickly from its setbacks and misfortunes.
It is preeminently the ray of color, of the artist, whose color is always admirable, although his drawings are often defective (Watts belonged to the fourth and second rays). The fourth ray man loves color, and can usually create it. If you have not had entertainment as an artist, surely the sense of color will be expressed in another way, as a selection in dress and decoration. The fourth ray musical compositions are full of melody, because the man who belongs to this ray loves the melody. As a writer or poet, his work will often be brilliant and picturesque pictorial descriptions will abound, but they will be inaccurate, exaggerated and often pessimistic. He usually expresses himself well and has a sense of humor, but, depending on his mood, he will move from a brilliant conversation to a melancholic silence. He is a difficult person to live with her.
The best method for healing, of the man who belongs to the fourth ray, is massage and magnetism, used with knowledge. The method of education used will be self-control, thus acquiring the balance between the antagonistic forces of nature. The inferior and extremely dangerous path is that of Hatha Yoga. Master Serapis, belongs to the fourth ray, and from him the great artistic movements of the world, the evolution of music, painting and theater receive energetic impulse.
THE VIRTUES
Special virtues: Great affections, sympathy, physical value, generosity, devotion, intellect and rapid perception.
Vices of lightning: Egocentrism, worry, inaccuracy, lack of moral value, strong passions, indolence; extravagance.
Virtues to be acquired: Serenity, trust, self-control, purity, altruism, accuracy, mental and moral balance.
UNDERSTANDING STEP FOUR
These words of my angel Galileo conclude by saying that the root of the will is love, just as willpower is the best indicator of character. The will at its lowest level takes on the aspect of desire. There are two great emotions: love or hate, being the permanent virtues of healthy emotion. Moods tend to be more lasting than emotions. Happiness and sorrow are emotions, joy and sadness are moods.
In the heart center we find two issues, that of love, keeping us together and attracting others to us, and that of direction, that movement in space. Personal discipline, door 7 leads us to relate to others, community, door 13, leads us to internalize. The horizontal arm on the fixed cross is Scorpio-Taurus (doors 1 and 2) indicating that the desire for the material is finally replaced by the desire for spiritual values, the earth and water must relate and merge. The vertical life on the fixed cross is always Leo-Aquarius (doors 7 and 13), indicating that the self-centered individual in Leo is decentralized, is aware of the group and is dedicated to serving.
But while the fixed cross shows us social roles, the cardinal cross shows the receptacle of love. There are ten doors that configure the theme of love. These ten doors represent the mechanisms through which the illusion of love emerges in each of us. Four of them are in the Cardiac Center, which is the unit of all things, configuring the Cardinal Cross: they are doors 25, 15, 46 and 10. The other doors are 10, 28, 40, 41, 44, 55 and 58. 10. Love to Being. 28. Love is Life. 40. Love is Work. 41. Love is Desire. 44. Love is Talent. 55. Love is Love. 58. Love is Perfection. Transpersonal love is at the gates 10. Love the experience. 15. Love of humanity. 25. Primal love. 46. Love beauty.
A moral inventory means a list of personality defects, violation of moral principles, mismatches and dysfunctional behaviors. Answer the questions about how we feel according to moral situations, such as theft, violence in movies, materialism or death. It also includes the indicators that we consider to be our personal achievements. It is requested to recognize character defects, dishonesty, fear, guilt, selfishness, selfish ideals, consideration for others. Every moral dilemma implies a decision against good or evil, the satisfaction of personal interests or collective interests.
- Prepare an analysis of the hexagrams of the heart center, especially from 25 to 32 .
