The Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan by Jennifer Hoffman

I would like to take advantage of this space to write about the recent earthquake in Japan because I do know that it is in our minds at the moment while we see the images of total devastation, we hear about the growing number Just as victims, we believe that this could happen to anyone and we even feel a pang of guilt that we can continue with our daily lives in the same way we did on Friday. Nothing has changed for many of us, but everything has changed for them. Are we lucky or will it be our turn soon?

A few weeks ago, I commented on the radio show that one morning I woke up with Johnny Cash's song, King of Fire (Ring of Fire) in my head. That was just before the Christchurch earthquake. Now we have this one, there was another one in Chile this weekend and there will be more. Is this the end of the world and is it going to break one piece at a time? Attention has now turned from the earthquake and tsunami to the threat of a fusion of nuclear reactors at the Japan plants. Given the recent resurgence in the use of this as a source of energy, we are asked to pause and consider the future results of these options and make different choices.

Can we do something to avoid this and why some people get rid of this, while others become victims of a disaster? In reality, nobody gets rid, because whether it's our homes that are destroyed or we are watching it on television, we are all part of what happens to others. My heart is broken by the victims and their families, as if they were my own family, because they are. I have cried and prayed for Japan in recent days, as have many others. This is what we can do for them and although it feels so little, it really is a lot.

I have mentioned many times the vortices of compassion and these are openings so that we can reconnect and remind ourselves as a human family, remind ourselves that we are all one, that we come from one Source and are part of each other. When such events occur, they also remind us to love each other, have compassion, keep in mind that life is precious, our earthly home is a sentient being to whom we must love, honor and protect, that we are more powerful when our hearts They beat as one, what we could never be when we use our lives competing with each other.
