Before you begin, surrender yourself to the Light: "Decree that I am dedicating myself to LIGHT now."

(Note: Ascension processes operate through all bodies. If cleaning is requested exclusively from the ascension body, it would be to limit the cleaning request. When the ascension levels are completely clean, the cleaning energy is terminated.)
