The Search for Balance and the reunion with Mother Nature

Mother Nature is not to blame.

Recently it was stated in the media that "Mother Nature is not cooperating" with the work, because "the weather conditions prevent burning the oil in the place, recover it and perform other operations." The strong winds and the rough sea forced the ships to renounce containing the oil stain and the planes in charge of dumping dispersant chemicals into the sea remained on land due to bad weather conditions.

(It does not cooperate or teach us that this way of acting is not correct either), we know how to do it better or we solve a pollution problem and we generate another one, it could have been avoided, if we had a vision More global than the things we do and the attention was not paid to the economic part would be different things, but not only the big companies and their eagerness to make money are to blame, behind this is a consumerist society that also does not have a global vision of the things they do, it is worth letting governments around the world work on this, but what we do.

At a time when technology seems to have taken over the human being, Mother Nature warns of her secret strength. The volcano named Eyjafjalla, erupted to remind us of its power and demand, without pretending, some human humility.

These natural accidents once again lower the list of our existence, alert us to our insignificance and constitute a call to consciences, without diminishing human dignity at all. It is a simple warning: we are, like ants, in an almost infinite universe. Modesty and respect for nature are imposed.

Disasters are not natural, but the phenomena that produce them. This term differs in two: fen menos natural and natural disaster . Where nature is in a permanent process of movement and transformation, which manifests itself in different ways, through phenomena of a certain regularity such as rain in some months of the year in areas mountainous, and of extraordinary appearance, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or natural erosion of the soil that causes erosion.

Other disasters can be caused by certain human activities, which alter the normalcy of the environment. Some of these we have: the pollution of the environment, the erratic and irrational exploitation of renewable and non-renewable natural resources such as minerals, the construction of houses and buildings in high-rise areas risk.

The key is to determine not only the way in which institutions, public authorities and communities can anticipate and thus minimize the risk of future disasters, but also take into account the need of effectively managing risks.

Geophysical, meteorological and environmental hazards are a threat to sustainable development. But these only constitute source of risk, effective disaster management has as an inherent component the application of mechanisms, norms and practices of reduction of the vulnerability in the community and the promotion of the population's capacity to respond as a means of preparation.

It is necessary to change the capitalist production model that is destroying the planet Earth, and this begins with oneself, what we are doing about it in our day to day, or we just want to look out and wait for others to move, where our responsibility and where our duty, as we are in the relationship with yourself, with others and with Mother Earth.

It is a reunion with Mother Nature, it is a rebalancing, a balance. It is necessary to heed the call to re-enter that balance.

The manifestations of nature are intelligent signs of life, spirit and strength, which should not cause fear or fear, because we are part of it and the sentient beings living on this wonderful spiritually connected planet will serve their protection, and men and Women free from all fear will live together in harmony through the expansion of Universal Love.

THE EARTH, OUR HOME (From the Earth Charter)

We are at a critical moment in the history of the Earth in which humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly interdependent and fragile, the future holds, at the same time, great risks and great promises. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of the magnificent diversity of cultures and ways of life, we are a single human family and a single terrestrial community with a common destiny. We must unite to create a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace. Around this end, it is imperative that we, the peoples of the Earth, declare our responsibility towards each other, towards the great community of life and towards future generations.

Humanity is part of a vast evolving universe. The Earth, our home, gives life to a unique community of life. The forces of nature make existence a demanding and uncertain adventure, but the Earth has provided the essential conditions for the evolution of life. The resilience of the community of life and the well-being of humanity depend on the preservation of a healthy biosphere, which contains all its ecological systems, a rich variety of plants and animals, fertile lands, pure waters and clean air. The global environment, with its finite resources, is a common concern for all peoples. The protection of the vitality of the Earth, its diversity and beauty is a sacred duty.
