Being awake or enlightened What is it? How do I get it?

The word enlightened comes from the verb to illuminate, from lat. illumināre. According to the SAR. 1. tr. Illuminate, give light or bathe with glare. Buddha, comes from the Sanskrit and means illuminated, but also awake. Buddha, is a proper name and is assigned to Prince Sidarta Gautama, who after many years of meditation reaches that state we call enlightened, I think this story is well known to a seeker of enlightenment. Buddha, recognize the 4 noble truths and teach the eightfold path, or the path that leads to enlightenment. Buddha taught this more than five thousand years ago, today it has more than 500 million (http://www.thedhamma.com? Of devotees, all seeking enlightenment, there are Buddhists around the world, some of its main exponents are Tibetans, like the great Yogi Milarepa of Tibet. To achieve enlightenment through Buddhism, many years have to be spent in constant meditation. Hinduism has more than 800 million devotees, they also seek enlightenment, here the concept of Yoga originates "It is a word that comes from the Sanskrit and means" Unite or union. Pantanjali, an Indus sage, fully explains what it is and how it develops. Yogananda wrote a beautiful book entitled Yoga of the Bhagavad Gita. This is only a minimal summary of the courses that use the concept of lighting or as we saw, wake up or unite.

On the other hand, we have the great religions of the world, such as Judaism, which has more than 13 million devotees, is one of the ancient monotheistic religions. It is based fundamentally on the old testament, although there are other sacred texts, and its primary objective so to speak is salvation. As a result of Judaism, there is Christianity and Islam. Christianity has more than 2800 million devotees, Islamism more than 1.5 billion devotees. And they also seek Salvation.

What difference could we find between Enlightenment and Salvation?

We already have an idea of the concept of enlightenment, enlightened is the one who illuminates or emanates Light, it is not true, but that is really Enlightenment.

Let's look at this lighting concept, so masterfully explained by. Sangharákshita

In the first place, Enlightenment is spoken of as a state of clear, pure and radiant consciousness. Enlightenment is a state of direct spiritual vision, intuitive, without intermediaries, without intellectualization; in which everything is conceived clearly, directly and intensely. Second, but not least, is the fact that it is said that Enlightenment is a state of "Love-Compassion" in the third place, it is said that Enlightenment is a state of inexhaustible and immeasurable mental and spiritual energy. (Sangharákshita 1980). http://budismo-valencia.com/budismo/iluminacion-ideal-desarrollo-humano.

Now let's look at this concept of salvation.

In general, salvation is associated with accessing the Kingdom of Heaven, something that involves avoiding hell.

More often, the word salvation refers to an eternal spiritual liberation. When Paul told the Philippian jailer what he must do to be saved, he was referring to the jailer's eternal destiny (Acts 16: 30-31). Jesus equals being saved with the entrance to the kingdom of God (Matthew 19: 24-25).

In light of these definitions, what difference could we find conceptually speaking between Enlightenment and Salvation. Before looking for a difference, what I would ask myself would be, why should I be enlightened or why should I be saved? In both definitions I find some clues. In enlightenment he tells us of a state of pure, clear and radiant consciousness, what he would be telling us is that whoever is not enlightened, is not in a state of pure, clear and radiant consciousness, this already places us within a stage which seems familiar to us, in fact this is what we observe through our physical eyes and analyze with our separate mind, it also tells us that it is a state of Compassionate Love, therefore again following the simple logic, an unenlightened does not experience the state of Compassionate Love and finally, an unenlightened does not experience the inexhaustible and immeasurable. On the other hand, the concept of Salvation tells us about accessing the kingdom of Heaven to avoid hell, and also tells us about a spiritual liberation. Here it could be understood that the unsaved state refers to the state of remaining in Hell. Here we should understand by hell, the state of separation, not a place.

In conclusion, although the concept of Illumination is much more widely explained, its similarity with that of salvation is perfect. And in conclusion we could say that we must be saved or enlightened, because we do not live in any of the states they describe.

In what state, then do we live?

We live in a state of separation with our Divine source, our Heavenly Father. Well, in reality we could not live apart from Him, we move in Him, we think of Him. But the problem is that when we fabricate the Ego and the mind I create the illusion of separation, the forgetfulness of our Divine origin was completely caused.

Here it is important to emphasize that we have never been excluded from the Divine Glory, the state of enlightenment has never been lost, it has only been forgotten.

What UCDM tells us. About.

In the first place, it tells us that all the courses in the world do not lead to Salvation, this is the word we use, but we already saw that the word illumination could also be used n, understanding both as remembering our Divine origin, or as stated above, who we are. He emphasizes that UCDM leads us to salvation. A beautiful precept is that which tells us that Nothing unreal exists, Nothing Real can be threatened in that consists the Peace of God.

As we saw earlier the concept of separation is Unreal, it is only a projection, we only imagine that we are separated, in oriental concepts it is called Maya or illusion, that veil of separation is very tenuous, but very powerful, alone, UCDM tells us, we could not wake up, that is why there are courses and that is why the Truth manifests itself in human form every certain period of our time space and therefore also We do not need an Instructor Guide that has traveled, so to speak the path of awakening.

Really if you realize the Illumination or the salvation, in themselves they don't exist, you don't have to be enlightened, you don't have to save yourself, just remember. Well, that the Son of God would have to be enlightened or that the Son of God would have to be saved.

In the space time of our reality and only here, salvation if necessary, because it refers to the moment in which we will remember our Divine origin. We abandon the thought of separation and recognize that everything and everyone is ONE.
