In addition to our Children of Africa Project, in 2009, the Starchild Foundation for Children will support other projects that help children within their communities in Brazil. This is the result of the decision taken in 2008 to extend the work of the Starchild Foundation for Children to Latin America.
The first of these projects is that of “Lar dos Anjos”, home for children with HIV and carriers of the AIDS virus in Foz do Iguaçú, in southern Brazil. The home provides care for children in the community whose parents are too poor to be able to give them the care they need. We will visit this project in April 2009.
