Coaching and NLP are two strong personal and professional development systems that, together, are very powerful tools for success and change.

What is coaching?

Coaching consists of a series of techniques drawn from different systems of human growth, such as NLP or the Socratic technique called majesty, but above all it is influenced by positive psychology.

The word coaching means in English " training " as this personal development technique is based on the support of a coach, a personal trainer who seeks the strengths on which to develop the potential and the weak to strengthen them.

A coach will serve as a guide, motivation and support, but it must be the client who takes the necessary steps to produce the changes to achieve the desired personal or professional objectives. The coach only advises and encourages to find solutions, does not solve the problems, encourages the client to do so.

What is NLP?

The NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) studies the way in which each person interprets their experiences and considers, basically, that each one has a version of the world based on how they process their experiences.

Based on that, NLP searches for each individual's perception systems and distorted interpretations that may be creating unwanted situations or limitations.

How does NLP coaching work?

The specialist in coaching and NLP combines both techniques to ensure that people who make use of them obtain a more comprehensive development. Detractors of coaching often say that in some cases the results are very superficial, so through the NLP it seeks to obtain more profound changes, as well as rapid changes, in limiting or even self-destructive behavior patterns that can reach have a person

To do this, NLP seeks the most internal interpretation models to modify erroneous and limiting perceptions, always based on the fact that every individual has the internal capacity to overcome their limitations and only needs to find the right tools. Once found, the coaching tries to reach another level. Once the limitations have been overcome, the objective is to find the excellence to get their greatest potential from each one.

How does a coach work?

A coach uses the coaching exercises with the objective that people face their limitations, such as unfounded fears, the need to postpone, discouragement, overcome frustration, try to learn from mistakes, etc.

Always accompanying the processes and trying to learn, even the toughest, in the most playful way possible. But respecting the moments in which it touches, for example, to feel and overcome the painful processes not assumed, which sometimes unconsciously cause these fictitious limitations, such as feelings of not deserving to improve.

How can combining coaching and NLP help me?

Coaching, like NLP, tries to develop people in an integral way. There is an increasingly widespread idea that the focus of these techniques is primarily towards professional aspects, especially due to the great success of executive coaching, widely used by senior managers in the business world and even politics, for their effectiveness in directing Groups with positive leadership.

However, coaching and NLP can help us both to improve the relationship with himself or with those around him (couple, children, friends, collaborators or that hostile client, etc.) and even improve his health, shedding those kilos that He has been trying to lose for years, improving his diet or his habits to do more sports or quit smoking, etc. Actually the applications of NLP with coaching are as many as life has aspects that can be improved.

Our advice

Coaching and NLP are excellent tools for change. It is important to have a good coach, but do not forget that this is a companion on the road, not your load horse. That is, the work must be done by you and the coach will help you identify the best way to obtain the desired results. We recommend that you do not expect magical results and run away from those who propose them.
