Reflections on love- Paramahansa Yogananda.

Love is a mansion of gold in which the King of Eternity is home to the whole family of creation. And, by ordering God, love becomes a mystical fire that can dissolve the density of the cosmos in the invisible substance of Eternal Love.

Like a river, love flows continuously in humble and sincere souls; but avoid the rocks of selfish souls and tied to the senses, because you cannot penetrate them.

Love is an omnipresent spring, which springs from innumerable sources. When one of its suppliers that flows through the human heart becomes clogged with the debris of misconduct, we see that love arises from some other heart . But believing that love could be dead in some heart means ignoring its omnipresence . You should never hinder your soul's love channel with bad actions; thus, you will drink with the countless mouths of the feelings of the soul in the divine source of love, which flows unlimitedly through all well-disposed hearts.

Love may exist in the presence of passion, but when passion is confused with love, love escapes. Passion and love together constitute a bittersweet cocktail that produces some joy but, almost always, ends in regret. When one drinks pure love, the taste for passion is lost in the sweetness of true feeling.

Drops of love shine in sincere souls, but only in the Spirit is the ocean of love. Expecting perfection in human love is madness, unless one seeks to perfect that love by feeling, inside, the love of God. Find, first, the love of God; Then, with your love, love what you want or whoever you want.

Do not limit your love to one being - worthy of love - excluding all others. Instead, with the love you feel for the one you love most, love all beings and all things, including that loved one. If you try to imprison the Omnipresent Love in one soul, it will escape and play hide and seek with you until you manage to find it in each soul. Increase the intensity and spiritual quality of the love you feel for one or more souls, and produce that love to all. Then you will know what the love of Christ consists of.

Love is wonderfully blind, because it does not focus on the defects of loved ones, but loves unconditionally for all eternity. When loved ones leave us at death, their mortal memory may not remember the promises of love they made; But true love never forgets, and neither dies. In successive incarnations, that love escapes from the heart of one body and enters that of another, seeking the beloved, fulfilling all its promises until those souls reach emancipation in Eternal Love.

Do not suffer for lost love, either because of death or the volubility of human nature . Love itself is never lost: it simply plays hide and seek with you in many hearts; Thus, by going after him, you will be able to find more and more of his manifestations. Love will continue to avoid and disappoint you until you have searched hard enough to find your abode in the One who resides in the deepest recesses of your own soul and in the heart of all things.

At that time you will say:

"Oh. Lord !, when I resided in the home of mortal consciousness, I believed that I loved my parents and friends; He supposed he loved birds, beasts and possessions. But now that I have moved to the Omnipresence mansion, I know that it is only You who I love, manifested in the form of parents and friends, in all creatures and in all things. By loving only You, my heart expanded to love everything. By being faithful in my love, I am loyal to everyone I love. And I love all beings forever. ”

I see life on Earth only as a backdrop behind which all my loved ones hide when they die. In the same way that I love them when they are before my eyes, my love follows them with my always awake mental gaze when they go to another place, behind the screen of death.

I could never hate those I have loved, even if they lost all charm because of their reprehensible behavior. In my museum of memories, I can still contemplate those qualities that made me love them. Under the transient mental masks of those whose behavior I disapprove, I see the perfect love of my great Beloved, just as I contemplate it in those valuable souls I love.

Stop loving means stopping the purifying flow of love. I will loyally love every being, everything, until I find all races, all creatures and all animated and inanimate objects gathered in the bosom of my love.

I will love until every soul, every star, every forgotten creature, every atom, finds shelter in my heart, because in the infinite love of God, my lap of eternity is so immense as to accommodate everything when it exists.

Oh, Love! I see your glowing face in the gems. I contemplate your shy blush in the flowers. I am arrogant, because I listen to you in the song of the birds. And I dream in ecstasy when my heart embraces you in all hearts. Oh, Love! I perceive you in all things - just a little and for a while - but in the Omnipresence I catch you completely and eternally, and I rejoice in your bliss forever and ever.
