Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947): The Russian bridge between East and West
Nicholas Roerich was a versatile artist, scientist and Russian thinker who gave all his life and professional work to achieve a great ideal: the ideal of world peace. The key word in all his colossal work was always s ntesis or unidad . The search for synthesis and unity in all areas and facets was his obsession. Precisely, he always believed that in order to achieve the ideal of world peace it was essential to bring all the cultures of the world closer, to demonstrate the unity and synthesis that underlies all of them, to achieve, in short, to build a new culture that, based on By respecting and valuing existing ones, he promoted both the dialogue or the union of Eastern and Western civilization. And his work led him to become himself a great bridge, the Russian bridge of the first half of the twentieth century between East and West. A bridge that sought to move towards universal peace, brotherhood and unity.
As in all the great beings of humanity, the life of Nicholas Roerich - and his inseparable wife, Helena (1879-1954) - became the main message that they have bequeathed us.

Presentation of the Vall de Biert Ecovillage, a valley in transition
The ecovillage of the Biert Valley is a project for the construction of an alternative village in a valley located between Girona and Banyoles. They want to promote a way of living more consciously, in contact with nature, living in community, attending to social, ecological and sustainable economy aspects, from a spiritual growth purpose, both Personal as a collective.
There are the beginnings of the project, building, creating and looking for more interested people. There have been several informative meetings and they are currently a group of 37 people who have started working to make it happen.
