Introduction to Cognitive Therapy
Date: Beginning September 20, 2016

* Modality: 9 modules lasting one bimester
The cognitive-behavioral orientation represents the theoretical-practical scientific approach that prevails in current psychology thanks to the multitude of empirical evidence that demonstrates its effectiveness at when addressing disorders such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, relationships, etc. Its most outstanding qualities are: to operate from a continuous formulation, in cognitive-behavioral terms, of the case, that is, to attend to the dysfunctional ways of thinking and the emotions derived from them., to the triggers and predisposing factors, underlying cognitive patterns and maladaptive behavior patterns present; promote an active collaboration so that therapist and client work together in the resolution of the concrete problems that are agreed; focus on the present and set clear and attainable goals
Consultation materials and forum of the 3 courses can be found on the educational platform.
Teaching material: each module will be delivered weekly, every Thursday, with theoretical content and practical exercises, receiving additional complementary material: Group work forums, with various slogans, Reading Material Reflective, Emphatic Seeds (short texts complementary to the material of the modules, designed to facilitate the understanding of each topic from a deep and creative perception: famous phrases, stories and aphorisms, are Ethically designed to favor a more fluid collection of the given contents).
On Empathic Generation
We are Cristina Ciocca and Alejandra Alonso develop our activity from this paradigm, both in the area of teaching and in the area of Transpersonal Counseling. We design the contents of these Seminars based on our experience and personal learning, to share not only theoretical knowledge, but concrete application tools that we consider useful for practice in the consultation as in the work on oneself. What was developed together in this Seminar will aim to promote self-exploration and self-inquiry, with concrete exercises to put into practice in daily life and to guide those who consult us. We believe that the exercise of any profession of help requires a permanent work in the mechanisms of the psyche itself. Thus, a theoretical concept is, like an empty container whose substance will be the investigation that one does on oneself, we thus aim at internal self-disclosure. We are convinced that self-knowledge is the basis for a person to accompany and facilitate processes, with efficiency of those who consult them.
