The incense has been present since ancient times until our days in a series of celebrations and cults and is an ingredient that not only accompanies religious rituals but also those events. Everyday. Know the mysteries and powers that each type of smell has.

Possibly incense is the most popular aromatic resin and the most requested. It has been used to accompany one in the prayers, to praise God, purify the air, free ourselves from negative vibrations, awaken the conscience and improve the mood.

It is originally a resinous rubber that is obtained from an Ethiopian tree called Ol bano. However, what we can find in stores today and what is commonly referred to as incense is really a mixture of Olbano and other resins, essences and oils.

We can find incense in combination with resins such as myrrh, cinnamon, sandalwood, musk, amber; with essences of benju, cedar, hazelnut, rosemary, etc, and oils of rose, anise, thyme, etc. For this reason there is no single incense, but a great variety of them with different aromas and properties depending on the ingredients that the mixture carries.

Currently there are a wide variety of incenses. Some cheaper and other more expensive, in the form of grain or rods. However, it is advisable to take some caution when buying them because there are many of them, of very poor quality, which can be toxic by adding other substances that allow easy combustion. The most appropriate is to acquire them in establishments or esoteric stores where they ensure their quality and safety.

Incense has great spiritual powers. For example, it facilitates concentration and individual or group meditation, creates a pleasant atmosphere in our homes or in our work by freeing us from negative energies, attracts positive energy and purifies the environment and people freeing us from bad influences, concentrates forces and directs them towards the objective that we have set ourselves, being able to help us achieve what we want at a certain moment. Perfumes, relaxes and harmonizes the mind. In short, it is one more ingredient so that our magical practices are consumed successfully.
