The end of the year resolutions are the most famous at the close and beginning of the calendar, but in reality if we are honest with ourselves, are they purposes or only wishes?

fantasy or reality…

Perhaps what fails us is that when formulating our purposes we give ourselves permission to fantasize or daydream that it is not bad, however, if we want them to work we must think realistically or as they say with our feet on the ground that is what that we choose as our integral growth goals for our immediate future.

An important step in choosing our purposes is to take into account the environment from which we are leaving, for example, if we determine to have a stable marriage and with excellent communication we must realize if it is not that the first step is to address the immediate emotional slopes with our partner and then choose a shared path so that we both get well-being in whatever alternative is chosen.

generate causes and conditions…

One recommendation is to ask ourselves if we are generating the causes for what we intend to happen. One of the Laws of Karma is to generate the cause so that there is a consequence, this works both ways in an uplifting way and the one that is not so much as well.

For example, if we want to grow emotionally, we must start with generating the cause, this is to ask ourselves, what do I understand as emotional growth? What alternatives exist in this regard? Do I need therapy, coaching, mentoring, joining a group of reading? ... the alternatives are really many and it is very motivating to enjoy this election process that leads us to evaluate our strengths and areas of opportunity at all times doing something about it.

be aware of what we can do…

The purposes generally fail because we do not generate the cause, we start from a scenario that is not conducive at least at that time or because we are not aware of what we can do.

We must also take into account the desired effect, for example, if we want to change careers it is essential to use introspective analysis to ask ourselves what is going to happen if we make that change? How will it impact our lifestyle? Where would we like to work if we do it? There are possibilities for growth in our city or in our country Yes, but there are what we must do to flow properly in this new situation.

the law of cause and effect

If we carefully analyze our purposes with the law of cause and effect we will notice that our list will be reduced, surely some will become possibilities for the following years and we will only have those Somehow they are realizable.

We will be surprised to observe how it is that in some cases with two or three purposes it is more than enough. The objectives and goals to be possible must be quantifiable, located in a suitable space of time and context, if not, it is proven that we will run the risk of abandoning them on the road or heading in a direction that we did not intend to reach. Unfortunately, this is known as losing the compass on the road.

mindfulness and introspective analysis ...

The recommendation is to use our resources for mindfulness and introspective analysis in everything we do, but at this time of the beginning of the year it is vital to make it motivated, calm and serious. Measurable and possible purposes no matter the quantity but the quality and safety in the realization of them.

Formulating purposes will not cease to be fun if we only add the guarantee of its realization and the lack of frustration of reaching the next year with a list of pending that include our goals of the year or past years. Let's generate the constructive cause so that the effect is none other than that of our realization and inner growth .
