With the purpose of working “for life and peace, promoting a change of consciousness in the human being so that he abandons his domination over Nature”, the Novo Encanto Ecología Association has completed its first decade of existence, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“Man is a being who is being served and fed by Nature. A distorted understanding of this generosity, the result of arrogance and vanity, led modern man to see Nature as his subordinate. We align with those who, in different parts of the planet, work to weave the threads that reconnect us with Nature, our neighbors and ourselves, ”they explain from the organization.

And they add: “human beings are going through a crisis of the most serious in their history today. The devastation of our planet is a reality that is increasingly present. If this practice does not change, its most immediate consequence will be the destruction of the natural resources on which our existence depends. But beyond the most immediate level, there is a more serious threat: that the human being forgets the true meaning of his humanity. ”

The association proposes an integration through the implementation of projects aimed at harmonizing human activities with environmental sustainability and for this, Novo Encanto Ecología has offices in the main cities of Brazil, where it prepares and disseminates educational and informative material .

Some of its main objectives are to defend life and participate in the maintenance of peace by promoting, preserving and restoring balance and harmony in the relationship between man and Nature; raise funds and execute specific projects for a balanced development and certify organic products in order to provide healthy food.

Among his main achievements are the training of more than 200 artisans; the Estação Florescer project, in Brasilia, where they have carried out a series of talks on young agriculture and sustainable gardening; the elaboration of newsletters; the production of 1, 000 CDs with music related to ecology; activities related to the application of selective waste separation; the implementation of 22 organic gardens; conferences on the sustainable use of water; exhibitions; concerts and the dissemination of local culture.
