Sai Baba talks about Buddha

  • 2017

“The founders of the great religions are usually supermen. He who wants to see a superman in our day and convince himself of the incredible powers that they are usually gifted, to go to India, to a small town called Puttaparthi, near Bangalore and Hyderabad (state capital) and try to see as closely as possible a Sathya Sai Baba. I say as closely as possible, because it will not be strange that when he arrives at Prasanthi Nilayam, the temple place where he resides, he finds several thousand - when not hundreds of thousands - of his devotees that will prevent him from any physical approach to superman.

Zoroaster, Buddha, Muhammad, Moses, Confucius, Lao Tse, belonged to this kind of beings. ”

Siddhartha's Craving for the Ultimate Truth

One day, the parents of a girl came with Suddhodhana and expressed their desire to give their daughter in marriage to their son Siddhartha. The girl's name was Yashodhara. Suddhodhana accepted his proposal and Siddhartha's marriage to Yashodhara was made. Because of his loving insistence, Siddhartha continued to stay with his parents in the palace even after marriage. A year after marriage, he had a son named Rahul. Both the husband and the wife spent their happy time with their son.

Despite all the comforts of the palace and the happy married life, Gautama's mind began to get restless when he saw people afflicted by old age, sickness and death after a day venturing outside the palace. One night, there was a sudden transformation in his mind. While his wife was asleep, he got up at midnight, caressed his son and left for the jungle. He had to go through numerous penalties and difficulties in the jungle. But he faced all the ordeals with strength and determination. His parents were immersed in affliction, unable to withstand the pains of their son's separation. Although Siddhartha was also suffering a lot of anguish, he continued on his way to achieve self-realization.

During his trip, he met a holy man. The saint told him that the cause of his anguish was actually within him and that it was that anguish that was preventing his self-realization. Saying this, he gave him a talisman for protection and asked him to wear it around his neck. (At that time, Bhagavan materialized that talisman and showed it to the congregation in the middle of a thunderous applause.) This was the talisman given by the sage to Siddhartha. When Siddhartha put it around his neck, all his anguish disappeared instantly. Until the last moment of his stay on earth, Buddha wore the talisman around his neck. Once he died, the talisman disappeared.

Siddhartha began to make intense austerities that lasted a long time. He constantly questioned himself, “Who am I? Am i the body? Am i the mind Am I the intellect (buddhi)? Am I the matter of the chit mind)? ”He concluded that he was none of these. Finally, he experienced the truth, "I am I."

Recognize the Unity of All Creation

The Vedas declare, Aham Brahmasmi (I am Brahman) and Tattvamasi (You are That). These two Vedic statements affirm two things: Me and Brahman, and That and You. The true wisdom is in seeing the uniqueness. "The experience of non-dualism is true wisdom" (Advaita Darshanam Jñanam). It is a sign of ignorance to see duality by ignoring the underlying unit. Duality is not true. In this way it was that Buddha inquired thoroughly and finally had the experience of "I am I."

That is the true realization. They can do penalties for many years, they can meditate and carry out many yogic practices, but all those spiritual practices give only temporary satisfaction, not everlasting bliss. Some people talk about meditation. Even Buddha preached the practice of meditation. What do they meditate on? What is meant by meditation? Does it mean concentrating on a particular object? Nerd. That is not meditation at all. Contemplating the principle of "I am I" is true meditation. No other spiritual practice (sadhana) can match this.

As long as they have the dualistic feeling of t and I, they cannot experience unity. Buddha recognized the principle of unity and based his life on this truth. Under the direction of many yogis, he had practiced various kinds of meditation and penalties, but finally found that they were a mere waste of time since none of these could It will take you to the ultimate experience of uniqueness. He felt he wasted his time in such a way . One must find the fullness in life by making appropriate use of time. That is the primary duty of man.

Many people carry out different types of spiritual practices such as repetition of the name and meditation without recognizing the principle of unity. The tongue pronounces the name of Rama but there is a void in the heart. This is mere loss of time. Instead of wasting your time in such a way, undertake social service, seeing God in each one. That is true spiritual practice. Recognize innate divinity in all beings.

In creation, there seem to be two entities, you and me. But you and I are really one. The individual (vyashti) is a part of society (samashti), and samashti is a part of the creation (shrishti) that emerged from God, the Parameshti. This Parameshti is the Principle of Brahmin Parabrahma Tattva. That is the fundamental basis of the entire creation. In this way, they must recognize the unity of the entire creation. Only then can you reach the principle of Brahmin or Parmeshti. Each one has to remind himself repeatedly, I am Parameshti, I am Parameshti. All are incarnations of the Atma and all are sustained by the Atma. Buddha experienced the unity of all creation. There was a total transformation in him once he reached the vision of the Ekatma, the uniqueness of the Atma.

He realized that all worldly relationships such as mother, father, wife, children were false. Transcended body consciousness. This is why the Buddha's nickname (the enlightened one) was won. Man must use his intelligence or buddhi to understand this principle of unity. Buddhi is of two types. The intellect that sees diversity in unity is worldly intelligence. Man must develop spirit intelligence (adhyatmic buddhi) in order to realize the underlying unity of the entire creation. This gives them the experience of the thermal principle that is the same throughout the creation. Buddha achieved the vision of Atma. After this experience, he continued to teach that there is only one divine principle in the world.

Buddha taught that the principle of unity of the Atma was the only true principle in the world. He who performs it using his spiritual intelligence is a true Buddha, he said. Outside the Atma there is nothing in this world.

In this transitory and ephemeral world, there is only one thing that is true and eternal. That is the divinity. That is what everyone should aspire to. Satyam Sharanam Gachchhami ((I take refuge in truth). Ekam Sharanam Gachchhami (I take refuge in the principle of uniqueness) Everything is a manifestation of divinity in this world; there is no second entity outside of divinity. It is the divine principle that governs the world January Having realized this truth, Buddha, along with his disciples, went from village to village propagating it He never felt the need to rest He thought it was his duty to share this supreme knowledge with his fellow men Even his father Suddhodhana came to Him. He also recognized this truth and was transformed. What was it that Buddha taught? Buddha taught that each was provided with the same principle of divinity. "The truth is one, but the wise refers to it by several names ” (Ekam Sat Vipraha Bahudha Vadanti) The same message was the one transmitted by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita when He said that all beings were His own reflection, and that no one was different from Him .

Buddha had to go through many penalties to realize this truth. Many noble contemporary souls of the Buddha recognized the greatness of the Buddha. They said that Buddha had experienced the truth that they were unable to experience. Since he abandoned all desire, Buddha became the epitome of total renunciation. There was nothing in him except love. He considered love as his very vital air. Lacking love, the world would become a void.

Try to Understand the Depth of the Buddha's Teachings

When you offer your greetings to someone, understand that you are greeting your own being. That someone is none other than your own reflection. See others the same as if they saw their own reflection in the mirror.

This is the message conveyed by the great axiom Aham Brahmasmi . Names and forms may be different, but all beings are an integral part of the same divine principle. You can call this a handkerchief. You can call this a robe. But both are made of cotton. Similarly, divinity is the underlying principle in the apparent multiplicity of this world. today many of the so-called scholastics are preaching only multiplicity. They pretend that they have mastered the scriptures and try to interpret it in their own way with their limited knowledge. His interpretations do not correspond to reality. They only add to the confusion.

Buddha taught that we should not have any anger, that we should not seek the faults of others, that we should not harm others, because they are all incarnations of the pure and eternal principle of Atma. Have compassion for the poor and help them as much as possible. They think that those who do not have food to eat are poor people. They cannot call someone poor just because they have no money or food to eat. In truth, nobody is poor. Everyone is rich, not poor. Those whom you consider poor may not have money, but all are provided with the wealth of the heart (hridaya).

Understand and respect this underlying principle of unity and divinity in all and experience bliss. Do not have those narrow considerations that the guy is his friend, Zutano his enemy, Perencejo his relative, and so on. "Everything is one, Be the same for Everyone." That is your primary duty. That is the most important teaching of Buddha. But people do not inquire into the teachings of the Buddha and do not understand the holiness of their heart. They speak only of their history. In truth, Buddha is not a single individual.

You are all Buddhas. You will see unity everywhere once you understand this truth. There is unity in the apparent multiplicity. If you are surrounded by many mirrors, you will see a number of your reflections. The reflexes are many but the person is one. The reactions, reflexes and resonances are many but the reality is one. When I speak here, my voice is heard through each of the speakers in this room. Similarly, in our hearts there is the principle of unity that we have to recognize. Man's life finds fullness only when his mind experiences the principle of unity. It is useless to bring unity to people without uniting their minds. "The mind is the cause of slavery and the liberation of man." ( Manah Eva Manushyanam Karanam Bandhamokshayo ).

Come to someone and say he is a bad person; Come to another and say it's good. But, in reality, good and bad are present in your mind and not in the people around you. They call this white handkerchief and this black microphone. The difference in color is perceived by your eyes, but essentially black and white are one and the same. Everyone must make efforts to visualize unity in diversity. Only then can one experience divinity.

The principles taught by Buddha have profound significance, but people are not trying to understand them. You can see that Buddha had curly hair on his head. A curl of hair was intertwined with the other. There is an underlying message of unity in this. He had only one feeling in his heart, the feeling of love. He taught, "Dharmam Sharanam Gachchhami (I take refuge in righteousness), " Premam Sharanam Gachchahami " (I take refuge in love). Deprived of love, human quality has no existence.

We must love everyone, regardless of whether they are homeless or rich. Money should not be the criterion to share your love with your peers. Money is not important. Money comes and goes, morality comes and grows. Do not hurt anyone. Help Always, Never Hurt. Only then can they reach the state of Buddha.

It will be of little use to give long talks if they do not raise awareness of the principle of unity in divinity. They can call God by any name like Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Sai, etc., but they all embody the same divine principle.

Keep the flower of uniqueness in the Altar of your hearts and let your fragrance spread everywhere. Spiritual practices such as repetition of the name will not give the desired result unless they recognize the principle of unity. Many people count the rosary accounts . But what is the use of going around the rosary if your mind also continues to go around the world? Understand that the mind is the most important. They must have a firm mind. Only then will your life be redeemed. What good is it if the mind flutters around each object like flies that flutter through both garbage and candy?

Do not let your mind falter between good and evil, unity and multiplicity. Focus it on everything that is good and raise awareness of the principle of unity. That is the real path that will lead you to the experience of the truth. On the contrary, if they let their mind follow the crooked path, it will not take them anywhere.

The same divine principle of love is present in all of you. If you take the path of love, you will become Buddhas yourself. Today is Buddha Purnima, the Anniversary of Buddha. Purnima means full moon. The underlying message of Buddha Purnima is that the mind must shine with total purity like the full moon. They must unite with their source, that is, the Atma that is pure and effulgent. There is no darkness on the full moon night. On this auspicious day of Buddha Purnima, we must achieve full purity of mind.

It gives me great joy to see all of you gathered here today. We are united to each other by the bond of love. Love is only one; It is no different in you, me, and others. They have unified their love with Swami's. Love is one. Live in love.
