OBJECTIVE:	Wesak symbolizes the union of the future. Alice Bailey has already started promoting it from her Arcane School, more than half a century ago. Since then various movements of new spirituality have taken it as one of their most important quotes. Wesak symbolizes the opportunity to gather the East and the West together in a single world holiday, to bring the world's great religions closer together, a universal event with the vocation of being recognized by all humans of any belief. The full moon of Taurus would be the germ, the starting point of the unified religion, beyond the particular forms of each creed, the religion of the spirit by over the circumstances of time or geography. The founder of the Arcane School left a brief invocation written in order to prepare Wesak's feast and go on trying “a powerful impulse”: “May the Forces of Light enlighten humanity. May the Spirit of Peace spread throughout the world. May the spirit of collaboration unite all men of good will wherever they are. May the forgetting of grievances, by men, be the tonic of this era. May power accompany the efforts of the Great Beings. So be it and do our part".

Buddha, Christ and all the Masters meditate and serve in Unity

The Wesak Festival is celebrated in recognition of a current living event. It is carried out annually, at the time of the full moon of Taurus, in which the blessing of God is transmitted to Earth, through the Buddha and His brother, the Christ.

Parallel to the internal spiritual event, the external physical ceremony takes place, in a small valley of Tibet, in the Himalayas. The dream, legend or event can be described as follows: There is a valley, located at the foot of the Tibetan Himalayas, at a fairly high altitude, surrounded by mountains except to the northeast, where there is a narrow opening. The valley is shaped like a bottle with the neck towards the northeast, opening towards the south. At the north end near the opening there is a large flat rock. There are no trees or shrubs in the valley, it is covered with a carpet of hard grass. The slopes of the mountains are studded with trees.

At the time of the Plenilunio de Tauro, pilgrims, holy men and lamas begin to arrive, occupying the southern and central part, leaving the northeast end relatively free. There, according to the legend, a group of Great Beings congregates on Earth, the custodians of God's Plan for our planet and for humanity. With their wisdom, love and knowledge they form a protective wall for our race, trying to guide us from darkness to light, from the unreal to the real, and from death to immortality. This group of connoisseurs of divinity, is located in the confines of the valley in concentric circles, according to the degree of initiatory development, preparing for a great Act of Service.

In front of the rock facing north-east, those Beings called "the Three Great Lords" are at etheric levels: the Christ, which is situated in the center; the Lord of living forms, the Manu, which is situated on the right; and the Lord of Civilization, Master Rakoczi, who is on his left. On the rock rests a glass bowl full of water.

Behind the group of Teachers, Adepts, initiates and advanced workers in the Plan of God, there are the disciples and aspirants of the world in their various degrees and groups, which constitute at this time the New Group of Servers of the World. Some are present in the physical body and arrive by common means, others are present in their spiritual bodies and in a dream state.

As the moment of the Full Moon approaches, there is a stillness between the crowd and everyone looks to the northeast. At a given signal, the Great Beings form three concentric circles and begin to sing. When the scientist deepens and charges more, the Ethnic Visitors materialize and a glorious figure becomes visible in the center of the circles. He is called by several names: Lord Maitreya, Bodhisattva, Christ, Lord of Peace and Love; He is the Master of all the Masters who form the planetary Hierarchy to carry out the divine purpose of this planet.

The Christ appears dressed in a pure white robe, His hair falls down his shoulders in waves. He has the Scepter of Power in His hand, to be given by the Ancient of Days for this occasion. No Master can touch him except the Christ, the Master of all the Masters. At each end of this Scepter of Power there is a great diamond hilt that radiates a blue and orange aura of great beauty. The Initiates who are in the three circles face him in the center, and when he becomes more visible, they all bow down and sing a greeting and affirmation n.

Then, these circles become a single circle and a cross, in whose center is the Christ. Here again the scientist moves the hearts and souls of those present, and they descend more joy, peace and blessing upon the crowd.

The next movement is the triangle within the circle, in whose apex is the Christ. He stands near the rock and places the Scepter of Power on it. In the peña the glass bowl is seen with golden ornaments and garlands of lotus flowers cover the rock and hang from the corners.

Then they make another movement that is a triangle with three lines that are intertwined in the center of it, where the Christ is. The next movement is a six-pointed star and then the star of Christ: the pentagram or five-pointed star. Here the Christ is at the apex near the rock; to his right the Man, to his left the Master Rakoczi, a Great Being in the center and two other Greats in the lower points of the star.

Regents of all types of energy are present: the Masters Morya, Koot Humi, the Venetian, Serapis, Hilari n, Jesus Initiates, disciples and spiritual aspirants; and here the scientist creates great tension in the crowd and Christ taking the Scepter of Power from the rock, raises it and says:

Presto, Lord, come ...

Then, he puts his Scepter of Power back on the rock for a few moments before the Full Moon, and everyone's eyes turn to the rock. The expectation of the crowd increases and the tension is higher and constantly growing. Through the crowd seems to feel a powerful stimulus or vibration that has the effect of awakening the souls of those present, merging and unifying the group, elevating everyone and performing a great act of demand, craving and spiritual expectation. It is the culmination of the aspiration of the world that is focused on this expectant group.

A few minutes before the exact time, in which the Plenilunium takes place, a small point of light in the sky can be seen in the distance, which when approaching becomes a sharp silhouette, which takes the form of the Buddha sitting in his classic Lotus position, wrapped in His saffron cloak, bathed in light and color. His right hand raised in blessing. When he reaches a point on the rock, Christ intones The Great Invocation, and all present fall prostrate touching the Earth with their foreheads.

This Great Invocation creates a wonderful stream of energy that floods the hearts of aspirants, disciples and Initiates, and reaches ... God. This is the most sacred moment of the year, the moment when humanity and divinity make contact. At the exact moment of the Full Moon, the Buddha passes to Christ the first ray energy - Will - that Christ receives and changes in Will to Good.

Christ is the great celebrant, extends His hands, takes the bowl, lifts it over His head and then puts it back on the rock. Then, the Masters sing sacred hymns and the Buddha, the Great Enlightened One, after blessing the crowd slowly disappears into space.

The entire ceremonial of the blessing, from when the Buddha appears in the distance, until the moment it disappears, lasts only 8 minutes. The annual sacrifice that Buddha makes for humanity has concluded, returning again to that high place where he works and waits.

The Lord Buddha has his special mode of energy that spills by blessing the world. This blessing is wonderfully exceptional, by its authority and category, because Buddha has access to planes of nature that are not within the reach of humanity; and therefore, it can transmute and transfer to our plane the energy of higher planes. Without the mediation of Buddha, this energy would not be usable because its vibration is very high and it is impossible for us to perceive it in the physical, emotional and mental planes. Thus the energy that Buddha diffuses for his blessing, finds in this way, channels through which to circulate, bringing encouragement and peace to those capable of receiving it.

Year after year, Buddha returns to impart His blessing and the same ceremony takes place. Each year He and His brother the Christ, work in intimate collaboration for the spiritual benefit of humanity. In these two great Children of God, two aspects of the Divine Life have been concentrated. Through the Buddha the Wisdom of God flows, through the Christ the Love of God manifests itself to humanity, spilling over it in the case of the Taurus Full Moon.

In this moment there are great expanses of consciousness. Disciples and initiates from everywhere can be helped and stimulated spiritually, in order to allow man to consciously penetrate the mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

Following the legend, when the Buddha has disappeared, the crowd stands up and Christ distributes the holy water to the Initiates and all who are present in the valley. This beautiful "water communion ceremony" symbolically hints that the New Age is already upon us, the Age of Aquarius, that of the "Water Bearer." Water magnetized by the presence of Buddha and Christ, contains certain healing properties. After the blessing, the crowd disperses silently, heading for their places of service.

Such is the legend behind this Festival, and also, such is the reality if we dare to believe it and if our minds are open enough and our hearts are sufficiently expectant, to recognize its possibility. These ideas require that we adjust some of our most expensive beliefs. But, if it can be grasped and understood, the possibility that the race is aware of its own divinity will arise in our conscience, being able to develop a Science of Approach to the forces of Life and deeper truths that are still hidden.

Men and women of the world guided in unison by Buddha, who brought the light to the East and by Christ, who revealed the light to the West, can demand and evoke a blessing and spiritual revelation so intense that in the immediate future it can be demonstrated what so much humanity aspires: "peace on Earth and good will among men." In this way we can introduce an era of fraternity and understanding that will allow man to have more time to devote himself to seeking God for himself.
