I want to dedicate myself to therapies but can I live on it?

  • 2014

Many people start with great enthusiasm and gradually lose it along the way. Do you want this not to happen to you?

Have you discovered your vocation? !! Congratulations!!

You know that what fills you most in life is to help others improve their health with your therapies. You look perfectly qualified to do it. You are also in a continuous process of professional development because you want to offer the best of you to your patients, but there is something that paralyzes you. You end up postponing your great professional project and your commitment to fulfill your life mission, you see it farther and farther away. Doubt and fear have come between you and what you want, and you ask yourself: Can I dedicate myself to this profession full time? Will you provide the life I want for my family and for me?

I understand you…

In the therapeutic world, it is common to meet prepared therapists who are committed professionals and who, unfortunately, sometimes end up seeing their dream become a hobby and not a profession.

Do not be discouraged! As a therapist, teacher and trainer of other therapists with more than 23 years of experience, I want to convey that being a full-time therapist, setting up your own practice, living what you like and passionate about and achieving your dream ...

Yes it is possible !

Though…

Experience shows that having enthusiasm and managing the therapeutic technique perfectly is not enough to have a sustainable business. If you really want to become a successful therapist, you will have to develop your business skills and become an Entrepreneur Therapist .

You will have to learn to develop your strategic skills to create a business vision and a marketing plan, to use social networks, to create interpersonal relationships with other therapists, to be more productive to make your part of therapist compatible with business management. Working on your own will lead you to become very aware that if you don't do it, nobody will do it for you.

In my case, it has not been an easy path, although I feel deeply grateful for the experiences I have lived. They have led me to develop my mission by supporting other therapists and sharing what I have learned, so that they can grow and move faster than I did avoiding some of the most common mistakes in this profession. I am proud to be able to serve my students as a mentor because I would have loved to have a well-trained and experienced mentor, based on my initial stage.

Working with a "mentor" can shorten your path to success ...

What is a mentor? The word dates back to the time of Homer, in the play "The Odyssey" as the name of a character who gave advice. It is currently used to describe a person with experience in a specific field, who advises another person with less experience.

A mentor is a focused and experienced person, who helps and guides the personal and professional development of another person

Throughout history we have seen that all the great teachers have always been mentors and have been in charge of a student to whom they transmit their knowledge, experiences and experiences. A clear example of this symbiosis between mentor and mentor is that of 3 great philosophers: Socrates was a mentor to Plato and he in turn was a mentor to Aristotle.

A mentor possesses not only wisdom, but also experience, while the student is someone who is in the early stages of his career. The way to guide and help the apprentice is through tutorials or mentoring.

Mentoring is a relationship of personal and professional development in which a more experienced or knowledgeable person (the mentor) helps another less experienced or less knowledgeable (the mentor).

Mentoring involves communication, usually face to face and for a sustainable period of time and is based on a relationship between the mentor and the learner. The mentor can help the learner to develop solutions to problems, explore new ideas and find the right direction.

Having a mentor is an opportunity to look at yourself, learn much more about yourself, increase your confidence and, in this way, learn to recognize your problems and turn them into opportunities.

Mentoring manages to support and encourage people to manage their own learning, so that they can maximize their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be

The relationship between the mentor and the mentor is often given by the admiration of a student by his teacher and in turn, by the interest aroused by the student in the teacher, either because he is studious, discreet and applied, or because With the deal, each one realizes the potential of the other and, little by little, discover the complicity between them and how it develops more each day. The mentor needs the recognition and admiration of the student, and he, in turn, needs to notice the trust that his mentor places in him.

In this relationship two important ingredients are usually found, by the mentor: the desire to share their experience without reservation and without fear of being “copied” and by the student: the desire to learn, their desire to respectfully model the mentor and Recognize your wise experience.

Many times this relationship ends up in a relationship of deep friendship with good doses of complicity, and other times, it ends in a professional symbiosis; The mentor and the student end up forming a professional society. In both cases, it is usually a good pairing due to the deep knowledge that each one has of the other at a very deep level in a long mentoring relationship, both both the mentor and the student profess a great and deep admiration !!

As a trainer I understand perfectly the process that my therapist students go through and I encourage them to participate in mentoring programs.

Mentoring gives you the possibility to model your mentor, to be as great as the mentor who guides you

How does it work?

We all know that time is measured in the past, present and future, and all people experience and measure life in those terms. Our experiences, feelings, experiences and memories, we mentally place in our personal time line.

Starting from this base, if you choose to participate in a mentoring program, the first step will be to analyze the schedule of objectives you wish to achieve, to take into account your past experiences and identify the obstacles that may be blocking or interfering with the present. How will we know what they are? Working consciously and taking into account where you have stumbled and failed in the past to improve it in the present, seeing with him, with your mentor, the steps you will take sequentially to clear the path and focus on it

Through the different techniques the mentor will give you simple and powerful tools to easily access your internal resources: strength, clarity, balance and emotional calm.

A state of mental, physical and emotional balance is 100% favorable and necessary to obtain the confidence and ability to take a clear and decisive action. During your training sessions, you should set up a real-time line for your goals. He will elaborate it physically, this means that you will literally see and experience it with all your senses. In this way, you can plan and implement your goals on a solid basis and with full knowledge of how your brain really works so that it can be activated and achieve what you want. Having said that, first things first: Your Health!

Health is essential to undertake

The balance is necessary to achieve the proposed goals. Sometimes, with daytime, work, stress, etc., we do not listen to the signals that our body is sending us.

In addition to stress factors, many suffer from back problems, fatigue, forget to exercise, eat an unhealthy diet, etc., and when the body reaches the point of crisis This will affect not only health, but one's own abilities and performance will decrease. The possibility of dealing with stress can decrease dramatically, and is often replaced by other unhealthy habits that artificially increase energy, such as excess caffeine, sugar or medications.

With a good mentoring program you will effectively address this type of imbalance. You will be able to "start over" by reorienting your body and mind in greater self-empowerment and achieving a pattern of self-renewal.

You will be prepared to face any challenge, and to maintain a stress-free body and a mind focused on the process. The mentoring process will help you to choose clearly and clearly positive beliefs, to achieve the quality of life you want, the success you are looking for and also the ability to "age well", by maintaining good health.

Lack of energy is also often a side effect of emotional blockage. A good mentoring program will help you overcome the emotional blockages that prevent you from fully attending your personal needs, using your full potential.

When the vital energy is activated and your brain is strong, it is easier to be resourceful and use all your strength. In this state, you are more likely to use your "will" to manage stress and related health problems.

“7 Strategies for Success Therapists”

I would like to mention some of the 7 strategies that seem fundamental to me to be a Success Therapist.

First of all it will be important that you learn to focus on: creating, building, and therefore manifesting your desires and being the one who chooses to be well, feel good, think well, act well. You will not leave your thoughts without direction or worse, in the direct direction to SELF-DRYING.

That deprogramming limiting patterns will be equally important since the fear of the unknown, the risk and the difficulty to leave the comfort zone and venture into the unknown, requires a value that sometimes you will not have and a complementary help with the in order to recognize and overcome your fears, thoughts and attitudes that limit you to start your path as an entrepreneur.

Another fundamental aspect is your mission and vision. You have to identify your goal and your approaches and define exactly your life project, your personal and business project. YOU are your own and best company .

When we communicate with someone our whole body speaks. It is vital that you learn communication techniques to know how to communicate and read the communication of your interlocutor.

The next aspect is your Personal Brand. You may wonder, can we really have a Brand? Yes, we can and should have it so that our efforts are rewarded as we deserve! Have you found yours? Do you know how to make your personal brand more visible, recognized and valued? Have you ever wondered how you are perceived on a personal and professional level? A good mentoring will help you discover and / or strengthen your personal brand.

Setting your goals and materializing them is another essential aspect. The mind is a very powerful and very wasted organ. Many times decide your future. With a mentor you will understand how to use your mind effectively, be able to program it to listen, feel and attract success. It is important to know how to program it so that your thoughts lead you to emotion because that way you will have feelings that lead you to action. It is the Action and only the Action, which brings you to the results.

Mentoring is a great tool that can help you take your therapy and your profession to the next level and expand your entrepreneurial spirit. A wise person once told me that

SUCCESS is synonymous with: passion + work + focus + push + ideas + improvement + serve + persist !!

It will be important that Mentor and Mentorized, are fully committed to carrying out the project for you to become an Entrepreneur Therapist! In a Successful Therapist!

The Mentor will guide you and His Goal will be, that you achieve YOUR GOAL !!
