Omraam M. Aivanhov ~ The formation of man and the zodiac.

The formation of man has occurred parallel to that of the universe. In the beginning, the human being was constituted by a simple fluidic sphere. It had no lungs, no stomach, no limbs, but only a head that moved like a jellyfish in an ocean of fire. When a part of this fire condensed to produce air, the lungs formed. Later, part of the air condensed to produce water, forming the stomach, belly and intestines. Finally, part of the water was condensed to produce the earth and the arms and legs were formed.

But these four elements that constituted the substance of man and the universe were not the material elements we know; they were of an ethereal nature, subtle; and the man thus formed did not exist in the physical plane. Man did not begin to materialize until his feet formed and it was precisely the feet that first materialized; then the legs, the thighs, the genital organs, the solar plexus, the stomach, and so on to the head. The head was the last to materialize, although the first to be formed; and the feet, the last to form, were the first to materialize. These two currents the involutive (appearance of the organs in the order: head, lungs, etc.) and the evolutionary (their materialization in the reverse order), are found in the zodiac.

When you list the signs of the zodiac in the sense: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, etc. follow the involuntary movement. Thus the man formed, starting with the head. And Aries is precisely the head, since we have seen that each sign of the zodiac corresponds to a part of the human body. Since the vernal point (*) moves in the zodiac in the opposite direction, in the order: Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Scorpio, etc. its path corresponds to the evolutionary movement; follow the order according to which the organs materialized. If the movement of the planets in relation to the zodiac is considered, the same opposition is found. The constellations of the zodiac ascend in the sky, following the order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, while the planets rotate in the opposite direction.

You can also study the opposition between the planets and the zodiac from another point of view.

The zodiac represents the stable, immutable side. Unlike the planets that are always in motion, the zodiac keeps an order, a regularity. Aries has never been seen next to Libra, nor Pisces between Leo and Virgo. The constellations of the zodiac retain the same order from eternity while the planets are never in the same place or in the same order with respect to each other. The latter represent the psychic aspect, which varies constantly, as opposed to the physical body that always has the same disposition.

Neither the head, nor the stomach, nor the feet have ever changed places. The members, the organs, keep, as the signs of the zodiac, a fixed place since the creation of the world, while inside the body everything is movement: movement of the blood, of the humors and of the nervous currents that cross the organism. Exactly like the planets, which are always in motion.

On the other hand, you know that the planets receive a great power or, on the contrary, they are weakened, depending on the signs they pass through and that, in turn, influence these signs. When Mars enters Aries it strengthens, it becomes powerful, because Aries gives it all its energy. Mars and Aries have mutual sympathy, understand and strengthen each other. But when Mars enters other signs, such as Cancer or Libra, for example, it weakens because these signs are strange. In the same way, what the planets represent, that is, the impulses, the tendencies, the feelings, are more or less exalted or weakened according to the organs, to the centers through which they manifest. If you place your love in the head, it will not act in the same way as if you place it in the heart. And if you place wisdom elsewhere than the brain, what will it do there? ... Only where the organs and forces are understood »can an important energy exchange occur. Here are some points that must be deepened. Just as in certain signs the planets are exalted or in exile, in the same way our intellectual, emotional and psychic faculties are reinforced or weakened, depending on the organs through which they seek to externalize.

It is not enough to be content with a study of the zodiac in an abstract or theoretical sense, but it is necessary to learn to find it and interpret it in all its manifestations of existence. Truly then it becomes alive when Astrology becomes alive and useful to you. The zodiac is a book of extraordinary richness and depth; All the mysteries of life are contained in him. The multiple combinations that continuously form the signs and the planets with each other are like threads that are woven.

They constitute combinations that, day after day, form the plot of life.

(*) Since this work is not an astrology manual, it is assumed that the basic astronomical elements in relation to the zodiac are known
