We tend to say, very lightly, that we are (or not) focused and / or that we need to go to our center without being aware of the true meaning of both concepts. Being both equally important to us, they have different paths

BE IN THE CENTER

If we are concrete and precise, BEING IN THE CENTER means that we move to that interior space where nothing and no one can disturb us . ”

> And although it sounds great to be in a place (internal or external) where nothing and no one disturbs you ... neither is healthy for us nor is it realistic in the long term .

We cannot live forever in our inner bubble . Not only because we would stop interacting with the World, an important issue in itself. Always staying in the CENTER would be counterproductive because :

- It means that we are completely disconnected and detached from the environment .

- Because the peace of the inner center is relative . It only lasts what we remain in that moment of recollection but it is of little use in daily life .

BE CENTERED

Instead, being centered means that we are here and now, present in ourselves. Present in whatever we are doing instead of focusing on the past, the future or any other dimension.

Being centered, here and now, is what allows us to maintain a healthy exchange with ourselves and our environment, being fully aware of the moment .

THE WATER BRAVAS AND THE WATER HANDS

And although, I repeat, being in the INTERNAL CENTER is revitalizing and healing, it is also an extremely fragile and volatile moment. Instead, be focused (here and now) although it does not prevent crises and unforeseen events ...

Yes it allows us to focus these moments with perspective, thus avoiding being swallowed by the whitewater of day to day .

BE CENTERED AND CONNECTED IN OUR CENTER

Everything and that it is not the same to get into a bubble to isolate yourself from everything that lives in the present, both visiting our INNER CENTER and BEING CENTERED are essential for our health, comfort and emotional comfort .

In a society accustomed to the overstimulation of the senses and the constant flow of information, spending a few minutes a day to visit our INNER CENTER helps us to find ourselves, from silence.

Living centered in the present moment is the key to both happiness and fullness, because nothing can happen if it is not in the present moment.

CONNECT WITH OUR INTERNAL CENTER

Connecting with our INTERNAL CENTER is as simple as it is complicated. Although it is about keeping the mind silent, who is accustomed to shutting up internally if what we usually do is spend all day talking to ourselves ?

Unlike the meditation itself, arriving at our INTERNAL CENTER does not require so much that we let our thoughts pass as the fact of KEEPING THEM SILENT .

For this, to start learning to silence thoughts, there are simple sea tricks as fun and effective.

One of those tricks is to imagine that we have a volume regulator in the ears and that we can lower it at pleasure as if it were a remote control. Although this trick requires some perseverance, it is a perfect anchor to tell our mind that it is time to shut up.

Another way to get used to silencing the mind the brief minutes we go to our INNER CENTER is to write down everything that goes through our mind during the previous moments because it is usual that, just when you are preparing to silence the mind, the mind starts shooting various tasks. And it is well that he does it, it is part of his functions, but it is not what we want if we want to go to that space where nothing and nobody disturbs us. Once you write down everything that our mind reminds us to do : we release the paper and the pen and disconnect . We disconnected knowing, and telling our mind, that in several minutes we will be operational again. As the practice does to the teacher, everything and that can cost us a little to get used to the system, with perseverance and desire, with time we will be able to access our INTERNAL CENTER quickly and fluently.

Personally, I make the trip to my INNER CENTER imagining that there is a bubble around me . The moment the bubble is formed, my mind knows that it is time to be quiet.

THE TIME AND DEPARTURE OF OUR INTERNAL CENTER

Being in our INTERNAL CENTER is extremely pleasant, so much so that, once accustomed to reaching it easily, it can cost you to return to everyday life, so it is ideal that you spend only a few minutes, if possible, twice a day .

My trick is to use the alarm clock . Instead of a single alarm, I have three. The first alarm helps me to create my bubble and get into it. The second alarm tells me when to leave the bubble. I use the space between the second and third alarms to wake up, breathe and FOCUS ON THIS.

To be centered

To BE CENTERED, it is enough to be CONCENTRATED . And the basis of concentration is none other than being what you are, with nothing else. Simplified:

When the dishes are washed, only the dishes are washed. They do not wash the dishes and they are watching TV, conversations, weather, etc.

I know, because I live here and now, that we have become so used to doing a thousand things at the same time that we are horrified to think about going from one thing to one thing but… It is not so much about disciplining oneself as learning to concentrate on what You are doing to avoid, just de- center .

Because the problem of NOT BEING FOCUSED is not doing one or ten things. The problem of NOT BEING FOCUSED is that we let ourselves be carried away by the autopilot, and once on an autopilot: we still think about the shopping list that we still go a thousand years ago to relive traumatic situations and / or distress ourselves for things that have not happened yet (and that may never happen).

And that's when we go to the past, the future or the stratosphere, and we do it decentralized ... when we lose energy, lucidity and presence .

BENEFITS OF BEING CENTERED AND OF CONNECTING WITH THE INTERIOR CENTER

Accustomed, again, to live in the era of immediacy (I can buy any product from anywhere in the World and have it at home at 48 hours) knowing that a specific task will require us practice, patience and perseverance can be demotivating! Or not! If we are clear about the benefits you can report to us in the short, medium and long term .

BEING CENTERED and, in addition, regularly visiting our INTERIOR CENTER is beneficial :

Mentally because it activates our memory, concentration, lucidity and creativity .

Physically it helps us to feel more vital and rested because, let's face it, part of the accumulated fatigue that we carry comes precisely from the wear and tear we undergo when we think, think, think, think.

Emotionally, the biggest benefit is that we are aware of our emotions, so we don't bury them anywhere, so they don't make a ball and because then we don't have to release them.

Spiritually because silence and presence are the keys to connection with our SUPERIOR I.

THE FINAL KEY

I can't finish talking about the importance and the difference between being centered and being in the center without giving a couple of examples as the final key.

Since nothing is black or white and everything has its nuances ... getting into the bubble when we face a problem will not make the problem go away. In fact, it will only serve to make the problem seem even greater, more serious and more difficult to solve. Going to our bubble, meeting our inner silence and charging the batteries YES helps us solve the problems because we don't isolate ourselves, we simply look for another perspective.

Being present, here and now, is fabulous for our presence but if we never allow ourselves to disconnect and abandon ourselves to sensations we run the risk of losing spontaneity.

So, the key is: TAKE EVERY THING IN YOUR FAIR MEASURE .

Knowing what and when it is beneficial for us to be or disconnect, isolate or interact is what will really give us the key to well-being . Maybe it's not simple but nothing worth it is.
