The belief ties, the belief is by Krishnamurti

It is not about changing beliefs, or replacing one with another, but about being completely free of all beliefs, so that one faces life in a new way every minute. The truth, after all, is to have the capacity to face all things in a new way, from moment to moment, without the conditioning reaction of the past, so that this cumulative effect that acts as a barrier between oneself and that which does not arise is.

After all, a cup is only useful when it is empty; and a mind full of beliefs, dogmas, affirmations and quotes, is not really a creative mind, and all it does is repeat. And running away from that fear - from that fear of emptiness, to loneliness, to stagnation, not to prosper, not to succeed, not to be something or someone - is undoubtedly one of the reasons why we accept such avid beliefs and greedily. It's not like that? Can we understand ourselves by accepting a belief? Quite the opposite. It is obvious that a belief, political or religious, prevents one's understanding. Work as a screen, through which we observe ourselves. And can we observe ourselves without beliefs? If we suppress those beliefs - the many beliefs one has - is there anything left to observe? If we have no beliefs with which the mind has identified itself, then the mind, without any identification, is able to observe itself as it is, and there, certainly, is the beginning of one's own understanding.

How many beliefs we have! Certainly, the more intellectual, the more cultured, the more spiritual - if I can use that word - a person, the less his ability to understand. The most thoughtful, the most awake, the most alert, are perhaps the least believers. That is because belief ties, belief isolates; and that we see throughout the world, both in the economic and political world as well as in the spiritual world.

You are brahmins and I am not brahmin; You are Christians, I Muslim, and so on. But you speak of fraternity and I also speak of the same fraternity, love and peace. The reality of the facts is that we are separated and divided. The man who wants peace and wants to create a new world, a happy world, cannot be isolated with any kind of belief.
