They will ask: What can Science and Spirituality have in common?

To be able to internalize the subject, let's begin by defining the concepts of Science and Spirituality.

Definition of Science:

According to the Oxford Dictionary, Science comes from the Latin 'scientia' of 'scire', which means 'to know' . On the other hand, the word science as a noun is defined as:

The intellectual and practical activity that encompasses the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experimentation.
A systematically organized body of knowledge on any subject.

Now, reading the definition of Science, we see that it is something totally probable and tangible, how can we think that it can have some similarity with Spirituality ? We will continue investigating.

Definition of Spirituality:

First, we will see its etymological origin. We know that it emanates from Latin, and more exactly it is the result of the sum of these three Latin components: The noun "spiritus", which can be translated as "soul", the particle "-alis", which is used to express "relative to" and the The suffix "-dad", which is equivalent to "quality" .

The Foundation for Spiritual Science Research (SSRF) defines the word 'Spiritual' as that which is beyond the frontier of the five senses, the mind (i.e. our feelings, emotions and desires ) and intellect (i.e., our process of making decisions and ability to reason )

Once both concepts are defined, can we unite Science with Spirituality?

Going back to its origins, we see that both Science, and Spirituality, originate from the searches that we as humanity began to perform. We human beings wish to question what surrounds us, what is happening within us and around us.

We always think that Science and Spirituality cannot be combined or go hand in hand . But in reality spirituality is also logical and systematic like Science, everything that happens in the spiritual dimension is visible and detectable in the same way that happens in the scientific and physical world.

The relationship of cause and effect also exists in spirituality and basically we have to understand the causes, which are less noticeable, to be able to be tested with the different tools such as those of the scientific world. The best known tool for Spiritual Research is the Sixth Sense.

And what would become the Sixth Sense, according to its definition is:

The special ability or intuition that a person has to perceive realities that go unnoticed to others and that enables them for a particular activity or issue.

So, it does not seem to you that both Science and Spirituality are not made to be fought, but to be completed.

We can say that spirituality focuses more on the heart, soul and science on the intellect, considering that both factors are opposed. And we make it clear that Science simply does not know how the universe and man have been conceived.

Science investigates the objective, material world, leaving aside the psychic, and subjective world, because we know that it is more difficult to prove and justify what happens in it, but not impossible.

Science depends on the external experiment. Spirituality depends on exploration and internal search. A scientist seeks and discovers the power and proof that can even threaten his own existence. A spiritual seeker discovers the power that guides and shapes his life toward a life of divine fullness.

Now, what should be the relationship between science and spirituality? It should be a relationship of mutual acceptance and true understanding.

Let us listen to the message of Matter through the voice of science. Let us listen to the message of the Spirit through the voice of spirituality. Finally, let's not forget that spirituality is the soul and science is the body.
