The true power of constancy

Constancy is a subtle, but powerful force

Welcome to a delivery more, dear friends of the White Brotherhood. Today I have the concern to share with you a little about a subject that has always fascinated me and that has also allowed me to achieve important achievements in life: perseverance .

They say that Rome was not done in a day. In fact, the cradle of Western civilization took hundreds of years to form. And if we want to get more metaphysical, according to Christian tradition, not even God, all powerful, could make the world in one day, it took seven of them and in Each did a different thing.

Even the creator knew that great achievements have to be divided into smaller goals in order to be achieved effectively.

And that's what today's entry is going to be about. How constancy and knowing how to manage the actions that will lead us to achieve our goals is the most important secret of success in everything we set out in life.

All great achievements require constancy

We live in a world of immediacy where we see great heroes and heroines in the cinema that save the world and make perfect ballet performances and become international spies that dominate seven languages and all types of martial arts. What the screen never teaches us is all the time of practice and effort that such scopes needed.

And of course, it is a matter of time, but that leaves us with the impression that the achievements are achieved from scandalous motivations and that is not true. If we ask a chef who has just made the best dish in the world how he got it, he will hardly tell us that it was an inspiration or a particular explosion of effort. Most likely, he confesses that it is due to the record he has had for many years of exercising.

We live with the false impression that things are immediate

The problem is that as we live with the false impression that things are immediate, seeing that they do not come out at first we simply think that they are impossible or that we do not have the necessary talent.

If we were to admit again that it is only through constancy that we can achieve important things in life, perhaps we would not give up so easily.

For example, if a person is attracted to oil painting, and intends to make a copy of the last dinner on his first attempt, it is a security that when he realizes that he will not succeed, he will be disappointed and will come to think That painting is not your thing.

But if that same person sets the same long-term goal, but more realistic goals at an immediate level, such as learning to draw well-made circles to combine colors, it is very likely that he can achieve and accumulate these achievements day by day and in addition it will remain much more motivated, because it will not start from a great disappointment, if not from several small mood reinforcements.

Constancy implies being able to divide the big goals into the sum of small goals

We can have a lot of motivation to start anything, but we should not rely on that motivation to achieve the final results because if we only do so, we will be disappointed very soon.

The constancy implies, in addition to not being carried away by laziness and doing what we have to do every day, having the ability to visualize our future goals as the direct result of our small daily actions, and not underestimate the value of them. if they are really done with discipline and diligence.
