As if things on planet Earth had become boring, quiet, and turned off (!), The powers decided to throw us three eclipses between June 1 and July 1.
Since life has been anything but boring for most of the people I talk to all over the world, nobody can know what June will bring.
Unlike the rest of astrology, eclipses are the wild cards of the deck never know what will come. Most planetary movements occur in regular cycles, but eclipses take shortcuts in that regular movement, throwing a curve in the prediction mechanism. Three curves launched around the time of the Summer Solstice indicate that the summer of 2011 is very unusual, defying prediction. My hunch is that this summer will be unforgettable for many of us, and June is the gateway. August, especially, as I said in previous columns, seems particularly powerful, and the June eclipse tunnel sets the tone for that.
Since the issue of eclipses raises the issue of predictability, this is a good time to discuss the issue of destiny versus free will. If life can be predicted according to the stars, how does that leave some freedom in the hands of human beings? On the other hand, if we have the freedom to determine our own destiny, how can there be relevance in the art of prediction?
As in most modern dualities, the question itself has to be depolarized to get to the truth. When the only option is a highly charged polarization, such as Democrats or Republicans, the entire worldview itself has been severely restricted, that each subsequent election can only produce greater restriction. A binary system like the bipartisan policy of the US It is highly effective to eternally recycle the same tired and stale ideas, bouncing our sense of choice as a ping-pong ball between your favorite team and the other, where there is very little substantial difference. But in terms of substantially changing the future of our planet - making sure we even have a future, in fact - something totally different is needed - they have to get out of those parameters. When trans-dualistic thinking is applied to the issue of predetermination and free will, the two poles turn out not to be so opposite after all, but reinforce each other.
You came here for a reason, rather than getting caught in this-against-that volleyball game. After dying in his last life, his soul left that body and opened again to the universe. We forget that choice we made immediately before the time to step back to the strange illusion of Normality.
An eclipse has the power to take shortcuts through this strange illusion, and restore the primacy of an intense poetic existence. Three eclipses triple that power. When destiny calls, it rarely takes the form of a comforting and gentle reminder of your inner stature. He usually grabs you by the neck, rips you out the way you thought things were, and throws you into a deeper truth that was there all along, but you were too caught up in the duality to notice.
This June, when the soul arrives calling, try to imagine a world where truth reigns instead of fiction. Try to bring to light the power buried within you to recreate the existence along more creative lines. Try to combine the strange changes of our time with something so real that you launch a new dream that takes us beyond the rancid ideas of the past.
