Recently we are experiencing an intensive amount of activity in the Sun, which is affecting both the Earth and humans.
What exactly is a solar (flare) eruption and how does it affect us?
A solar eruption is a magnetic storm in the Sun that appears to be a very bright spot and a gaseous eruption on the surface, such as the one pictured above. Solar flares release huge amounts of high energy particles and gases that are tremendously hot.
They are expelled thousands of kilometers from the surface of the sun.
