October 7, 2009: Become an Instrument of God's Peace and ... our Relationship with Animals.
Well, guess where I was today!
On behalf of the Starchild Children's Foundation, and as part of our Community work, we donate 300kgs of Animal Food to the local Animal Shelter. It was something we had planned for a while, but it seemed one of those happy synchronicities that happened now, earlier this October.
At the beginning of the month I had a little difficulty to focus. I had a severe case of Spring Hay Fever, and just seemed unable to "take out" the monthly energy channeling, until October 4. In the Channeling, Miguel spoke of Peace and of becoming an Instrument of the Peace of God, and I recognized the words of the prayer of St. Francis. Then, I discovered that October 4 was the day of San Francisco, and suddenly it became clear why the canalization needed to leave that day. It was to align with the energy of Francisco and Clara, which is going to be a very important part of the energy of the New Earth. Just as Jesus and Mary Magdalene were the Avatars of the Golden Energy of Christ Consciousness, Francisco and Clara were the Avatars of our relationship with Mother Earth herself and those who live there, all of our "relatives, " as the Native Americans say. I will work in Assisi, Italy, next year, to celebrate the energy of Francisco and Clara ... but let's go back to today!
One of the things that Miguel has shown me very clearly, in recent months, is that the way we live and the decisions we make in our daily lives, determine the vibration we will carry in our body and our ability to move forward with the process of ascension and benefit fully from the energy of greater vibration. We cannot continue living in the same dense and ignorant way as we did in the past. And yes, that means making new choices about what we eat and drink and how we interact with the animals that share the planet with us.
This is not a judgment, but an observation. People will make more vibrant choices when they are ready and when their souls lead them forward. Who are the pioneers are already understanding that the choices they make in their lives determine their level of frequency and the amount of light they can carry on a daily basis. And here I would like to distinguish between people who can carry light when they meditate and channel, and who can carry the same level of light all the time! Because in truth, the "teacher" is the one who carries the light all the time, and the one who lives the light in his daily choices.
Actually it is equivalent to living and speaking its truth at all times.
And so, here I will share some of the current choices I am making to try to move towards a new life paradigm. The work I do with the Starchild Children's Foundation is my way of getting involved with the community in which I live and of materially sharing the abundance sent to me by those who value Starchild's work ... and I thank you for that. We try to use your money wisely. This month, we donated 10, 000 rands to the “Little Angels” home for Children with Special Needs, which is a few blocks from where I live. We also bought them a new dryer to help with the wash load for children in the rainy weather. And we donate 300 kilos of Dog Food and 30 kilos of Cat Food to the Shelter or Animal Shelter, which in South Africa works completely with donations from the public, without government support.
Here is a picture of me, today, with the Public Relations officer and some of the Dog Food. It was raining, by the way, and Rocket the Great Dane was looking for shelter instead of posing with us.
Is this what it means to be an instrument of God's Peace? I think so. Francisco and Clara worked to bring joy to those who had nothing, and so, in their honor, I try to bring Joy and Hope to those who do not. Isn't this what Unconditional Love means? I know we tend to think it means “giving without attachments, ” but I think it goes beyond that. It means giving in order to bring Light, to be an instrument of the Peace and Love of God, and to give with the purpose of Being the instrument of the Love and Light of God, that the grace of God may work through us and that those who walk in "darkness" you can feel that Love and Light and Hope.
And the more we travel this path, the more Light and Love there will be on Earth. The more “instruments” of the Peace and Light of God, the brighter the Light is and the more awakening can occur.
I ask you, can't you also do something like this in your community? Can they also be an instrument of God's peace where they live?
I also believe that, as we raise our vibrations collectively, our relationship with animals will change. They will become our friends and our companions on Earth. As we learn to communicate with them, we will understand the great gifts they give us daily. We long to connect with extraterrestrial civilizations, and yet we must still learn to communicate and live with the sensitive and intelligent beings that share our Earthly home.
And yes, inevitably, this should also include the question of whether we eat them. I also learned that this October is the International Vegetarian month, in honor of Mahatma Gandhi, who was a vegetarian. And yes, I am living mostly raw food and vegetarian diet. I say mostly, because I still eat eggs and fish very occasionally, but I prefer to eat vegetarian food. And it's okay to eat as you choose, but for those of us looking to anchor higher and finer vibrations of energy in our physical bodies at all times, it makes sense to eat higher and lighter in the food chain, and that means mainly eliminating protein Animals in favor of plant forms.
Therefore, this leads me to another recent change in my life that I have talked about before - the Urban Farm that I am sharing with my neighbors. We are eating vegetables from our vegetable garden, and the Hens have just produced babies, many of them… .. an interesting experience!
These are three of the small newcomers in the Urban Farm:
No, we are not planning to eat them, but to find good homes for them. This is my neighbor, Michelle, with one of the chickens she raised from an hatched egg. His name is Twinkle Toes because of the way he walks, and he thinks that Michelle is his mother.
And here is the pap, his name is Boss and he likes to honor his name. He also likes to sing at dawn, but I've got used to it!
So here we are in the suburbs of Cape Town, moving towards a new paradigm of life. A way of life that takes into account that we are living on the outskirts of one of the largest cities in South Africa, but that it can also be a gra granja home to small Scale. It is also about becoming an instrument of the Peace of God, and developing a new relationship with animals and plants.
When I recently moved to this house, I had a wonderful rose garden, and all kinds of flowering plants annually. It was beautiful. Now I have an Urban Farm! Well, I suppose there is also room for roses on this farm, just that they don't seem to be getting as much attention as before!
In many ways it reminds me of how my grandparents lived, a kitchen with garden and fruit trees, which complemented the diet in the lean years of the postwar period. I still remember eating the sweet ripe fruit straight from the trees, and eating the fresh vegetables that grew in the garden. The arrival of agribusiness and cheap mass-produced food meant the disappearance of this kind of lifestyle. But, now is the time to return to the understanding of how nature supports us, if we support nature. And in doing so, become an Instrument of God's Peace!
